Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for students to understand the scientific structure of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) within the national curriculum and its relevance to character formation. PAI is understood as a subject that not only transfers religious knowledge but also internalizes Islamic values in daily life. The scientific structure of PAI encompasses four main branches: Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed and Morals), Fiqih (Islamic Jurisprudence), Al-Qur’an Hadith, and Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (Islamic Cultural History/ICH). These branches are designed in an integrated manner to develop the students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach through the analysis of curriculum documents, textbooks, and academic journals. The results show that PAI material in Junior High Schools (SMP/MTs) focuses on the basic introduction to faith, worship, and morals, while in Senior High Schools (SMA/MA), it is directed more toward deepening, critical analysis, and the application of religious values in the context of modern life. These findings affirm that the scientific structure of PAI plays a strategic role in creating a religious generation with noble morals who are capable of facing the dynamics of modern life.

Abstract

Science education at the elementary school level plays a crucial role in establishing students’ foundations for critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of 21st-century learning. This study aimed to examine the effects of the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model and self-efficacy on elementary school students’ scientific literacy skills. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students at SDN 26 Mataram, with a purposive sampling technique applied. Research instruments included a self-efficacy questionnaire and a scientific literacy test. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov and Shapiro–Wilk normality tests, as well as a paired-sample t-test. The results revealed a significant increase in scientific literacy scores by 15.25 points following the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model. This improvement was accompanied by enhanced student self-efficacy, which fostered active engagement and responsibility in the learning process. The study concludes that the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model is effective in improving both scientific literacy and self-efficacy among elementary school students, offering an active learning alternative aligned with the demands of modern curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to qualitatively review the literature on the potential and challenges of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching the Fiqh al-Munākaḥāt course, specifically the topic of Nikah Mut'ah, in the context of Islamic Higher Education (IHE). The topic of Nikah Mut'ah is a fiqh subject rich in scholarly differences (ikhtilaf) and sensitive, requiring a pedagogical approach that can nurture critical thinking and tolerance. The method used is a qualitative literature study by analyzing academic documents, journal articles, and textbooks related to PBL, Islamic education, and contemporary fiqh. The results indicate that PBL is highly relevant for addressing the complexity and ambiguity of disputed topics, as it encourages students to construct their own understanding through analysis of real cases, comparing evidences, and producing solutions that are academically and ethically responsible. PBL facilitates the achievement of critical learning objectives and avoids dogmatism in fiqh material, with the main finding being the conceptual framework of the Adaptive Fiqh PBL Model (MPBLA-F).

Abstract

The role of parents is crucial in developing talent and creativity in the field of dance art among early childhood children. Through active parental involvement in providing motivation, appreciation, a supportive environment, and collaboration with Minangkabau dance studios, parents can facilitate the growth of children’s motor, emotional, and cognitive creativity. This study aims to analyze the role of parents in consistently motivating and fully supporting the talents, interests, and creativity of early childhood children in dance art. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, focusing on parents’ experiences in fully supporting their children’s talents, interests, and creativity in dance art by encouraging and facilitating the development of their children’s dance skills. Data collection techniques involved data triangulation, including observation, interviews, and documentation. Through observation, the researcher monitored the Satampang Baniah dance studio in the Kuranji area and PAUD Tunas Bangsa. Subsequently, in-depth interviews were conducted with parents and dance instructors, and documentation was collected of early childhood children participating in dance performances at an event. The results of this study indicate that parents play a very important role in developing and motivating children’s talents, interests, and creativity in dance art through emotional support, the provision of facilities, and active parental involvement in children’s activities at dance studios, schools, and outside school settings. Parents who provide opportunities for children to remain active and enthusiastic about developing creativity, interests, and talents, as well as space for children to explore dance art, also motivate and encourage children to improve their dance skills and support their social and emotional development. This study further offers recommendations for parents and Minangkabau dance studios to give greater attention to the importance of parental roles in supporting dance art talents in early childhood.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic Psychology into the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum as a strategic framework for strengthening students’ character and psychological well-being. In the face of globalization, digitalization, and social pressure, many students experience emotional instability and moral decline, highlighting the need for a holistic educational approach. The objective of this paper is to analyze the theoretical foundation and practical implications of integrating Islamic Psychology within PAI to develop a balanced educational paradigm encompassing cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions. Using a descriptive qualitative method through library research, this study reviews books, journal articles, and other relevant literature discussing Islamic education and character formation. The findings reveal four key insights: (1) Islamic Psychology provides a philosophical foundation for PAI to cultivate insan kamil, individuals who are intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually balanced; (2) PAI learning based on Islamic Psychology enhances students’ mental health through internalizing spiritual values such as sabr, syukr, tawakkal, and ikhlas; (3) integrative curriculum models reinforce character formation by uniting cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects; and (4) integration of Islamic Psychology fosters a holistic educational paradigm that restores the unity of knowledge, morality, and spirituality. In conclusion, integrating Islamic Psychology into the PAI curriculum serves as a transformative step toward building an education system that nurtures well-rounded, morally grounded, and mentally healthy individuals capable of facing modern challenges with spiritual resilience.

Abstract

The development of marketing strategies has made marketing campaigns increasingly important in shaping customer perceptions and experiences, which ultimately drive customer satisfaction and influence business sustainability amid intense market competition. Azka Laundry is one of the MSMEs that applies marketing campaigns; however, it has experienced a decline in revenue, prompting the business to implement an additional promotional strategy by distributing free takjil. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of marketing campaigns on business sustainability through customer satisfaction using a descriptive quantitative method with 234 respondents. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS through outer model testing, inner model testing, and hypothesis testing. The results show that marketing campaigns have a significant and positive effect on customer satisfaction and business sustainability. In addition, customer satisfaction significantly and positively mediates the influence of marketing campaigns on business sustainability. These findings indicate that the more effective the marketing campaign strategy implemented, the higher the level of customer satisfaction, which ultimately supports the stability and long-term sustainability of Azka Laundry’s business.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the “English Fairy Tales” YouTube channel on students’ listening comprehension abilities in an EFL context. Listening comprehension is a crucial yet often neglected skill among Indonesian EFL learners, who struggle due to limited exposure to authentic spoken English and lack of engaging instructional materials. To address this issue, the study examines whether digital storytelling specifically, fairy tales on YouTube can enhance students' listening skills. The study used a quantitative, quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. A total of 70 tenth-grade students from SMA Negeri 1 Sukodadi were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using multiple-choice listening tests and analyzed using t-tests and effect size measurement. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s post-test scores (from 51.57 to 67.14), while the control group’s scores declined (from 48.43 to 44.00). Statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference between groups (p < 0.001). These results suggest that storytelling videos from the “English Fairy Tales” YouTube channel effectively improve students’ listening comprehension. The study concludes that integrating digital storytelling into EFL instruction offers a valuable, engaging approach to overcoming traditional listening barriers and should be considered in modern language classrooms.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the micro-credential ecosystem has fundamentally transformed the landscape of higher education. Students in the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program at Nahdlatul Ulama University of West Sumatra are no longer positioned merely as prospective teachers who implement the curriculum, but as subjects with agency who must possess the capacity to act autonomously, reflectively, and responsibly in interpreting, selecting, and using technology, including AI and micro-credentials in the field of arts and culture. This study aims to construct a philosophy of education framework to understand and strengthen the agency of PGSD students in embracing technology and arts and culture micro-credentials in the current AI-driven digital era. This study employs a qualitative approach using a narrative literature review and philosophical analysis integrated with: (1) the concept of agency in Bandura’s social cognitive theory; (2) Biesta’s three domains of educational purposes (qualification, socialization, and subjectification); (3) technology acceptance models; (4) Indonesian micro-credential policy and practices; and (5) the position of arts and culture courses within the PGSD curriculum. The findings indicate that the acceptance of AI and micro-credentials cannot be reduced to purely technical issues such as ease of use and perceived usefulness, but must be situated within an ethical philosophical framework concerning the kind of elementary school teachers students aspire to become. This paper proposes a conceptual model of “PGSD Student Agency in the AI Era” that connects self-efficacy beliefs, educational values, perceptions of AI, and motivation to participate in arts and culture micro credentials. Practical implications include the design of a PGSD curriculum that positions arts and culture as a practical space for exercising agency, the critical integration of AI-based micro-credentials, and pedagogical strategies that foster ethical and reasonable digital literacy in the use of digital technologies.
