Abstract

Tig welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) is one of the metal connections by welding on the surface of the plates connected to each other at the same time an electric current is passed so that the surface becomes hot and melts due to electrical resistance. Where Aluminum 5083 has a maximum tensile strength of 317 MPa (46,000Psi). This study aims to determine the results of tensile testing on welded joints using TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) on Aluminum 5083 material. Quantitative research approach. The research technique used is an experiment, the research location was carried out in the mechanical engineering laboratory of Ekasakti University Padang and in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of ITP (Padang Institute of Technology). From the 100A current strength specimen, the average value was obtained: Maximum tensile stress ( , Yield Stress ( (2.354.4 N/mm2), Strain ( ) (0,02228%), Modulus of Elasticity ( ) (1.930.7360 N/mm2). And with a current of 120A, the average obtained is: Maximum Tensile Strength (  (62,9311 N/mm2), Yield Stress ( Strain ( ) (0.059.58%), Modulus of Elasticity ( ) (1,056,24 N/mm2). Based on the research results, it shows that the tensile strength results based on the current strength in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, the average value with a welding current of 120A has a higher and greater tensile stress, yield stress, and strain compared to a current of 100A. This shows that the connection with a welding current of 120A is better than the welding current of 100A.

Abstract

Aluminum alloy 2014 (Al 2014) is an Al-Cu–based alloy widely used in the aerospace and automotive industries due to its high mechanical strength. However, the mechanical properties of this alloy are strongly influenced by heat treatment, particularly the artificial aging process. This study aims to analyze the effect of artificial aging on the mechanical properties of Al 2014, especially hardness. The Al 2014 samples underwent solution heat treatment at a specified temperature, followed by rapid cooling (quenching) and subsequent artificial aging at various temperatures and holding times. The mechanical test results show that increasing the aging temperature and duration significantly affects the formation of strengthening precipitates, leading to increased hardness until reaching the optimum condition (peak aging). However, excessive aging results in overaging, which reduces mechanical properties due to coarsening of precipitates. Therefore, a precise artificial aging process is essential to optimize the mechanical performance of Al 2014 for engineering applications.

Abstract

Truancy is one of the most common forms of school delinquency found among students and can negatively affect academic achievement, discipline, and adolescent social development. One of the major factors influencing this behavior is peer influence, which plays a significant role in shaping students’ decisions and actions. This study aims to examine how peer groups contribute to strengthening or encouraging truancy among secondary school students. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the dynamics of peer relationships, forms of social pressure, and interaction patterns that influence students to skip classes without permission. The findings indicate that peers have a significant effect through invitations, group pressure, the need for acceptance, and collective habits that contradict school rules. Furthermore, unhealthy peer relationships may weaken students’ self-control, making them more susceptible to violating school regulations. Therefore, active involvement from teachers, counselors, and the school environment is needed to reinforce positive values and build peer groups that support disciplined behavior.

Abstract

Traditional methods of Islamic education essentially still have an essential role in today's learning that can be optimized through integration with modern technology based methods amidst the development of the times and the increasing needs of students in today's digital era. This research is included in the type of library research that uses a qualitative approach with thematic analysis methods to find traditional methods of Islamic education contained and stated in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad saw. based on the narrations of Imam al-Bukhari and at-Tirmidzi, and their relevance to today's learning. The results of this study indicate that traditional methods of Islamic education – such as lectures, stories, questions and answers, and demonstrations – have a strong normative basis in the hadits of the Prophet Muhammad saw., as narrated by Imam al-Bukhari in the book Sahih al-Bukhari and Imam at-Tirmidzi in the book Sunan at-Tirmidzi. Traditional methods of Islamic education essentially still have great relevance to be applied in today's learning activities as a foundation underlying the transfer of religious materials delivered by teachers to students. However, the application of traditional methods of Islamic education in today's learning needs to be combined adaptively and integratively with modern technology-based methods in order to meet the needs of students and answer the challenges of the current digital era, so that this not only helps students to understand Islamic teachings theoretically and practically, but also builds active involvement, critical thinking skills, and a more meaningful learning experience for students.

Abstract

Bullying remains a significant issue in senior high schools and negatively affects students’ psychological and social development. This study aims to describe the role of Guidance and Counseling (GC) teachers in preventing bullying by synthesizing relevant literature and best practices implemented in various secondary schools. The study employed a library research approach using content analysis and comparative synthesis of national and international journal articles. The findings indicate that GC teachers hold a strategic position through four key functions: preventive, curative, collaborative, and advocative. The preventive function is implemented through information services, classroom guidance, and psychoeducation; the curative function through individual and group counseling; the collaborative function through coordination with multiple stakeholders in the school environment; and the advocative function through strengthening policies and fostering an anti-bullying school culture. These results highlight that a comprehensive GC service model is effective for bullying prevention and can be adapted to the context of SMA Negeri 3 Kupang with appropriate socio-cultural adjustments.

Abstract

Time discipline is a fundamental aspect in shaping students’ character and academic success. This study is motivated by the phenomenon of low time discipline among students at SMPK St. Theresia Kupang, which affects learning regularity and instructional effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategic role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in improving students’ time discipline through the implementation of understanding, prevention, development, and corrective functions based on professional regulatory frameworks. This research employed a qualitative approach using both library and field studies. The informants consisted of one BK teacher and six students selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, documentation, and literature review, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that classical guidance services, group guidance using self-management techniques, and individual counseling based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) are effective in enhancing students’ awareness and responsibility toward time management. In addition, collaboration among BK teachers, homeroom teachers, Catholic Religious Education (PAK) teachers, and parents serves as a reinforcing factor that creates a sustainable support system for student discipline. The study concludes that BK teachers play a key role in instilling time discipline as part of students’ moral and religious character formation while contributing practical insights for the development of an integrative guidance and counseling model in secondary schools.

Abstract

The development of Islamic theology (Ilmu Kalam) reflects a long intellectual journey shaped by political, social, and philosophical dynamics from the early period of Islam to the contemporary era. This article explores the evolution of theological thought ranging from classical schools such as the Khawarij, Mu’tazilah, Asy’ariyah, and Maturidiyah to modern inclusive theology. Using a qualitative library research method, this study examines how debates on divine justice, human free will, and the nature of God contributed to the emergence of various theological orientations. The findings reveal that classical theology emerged primarily as a response to political conflict and interaction with foreign philosophical traditions, especially Greek rationalism. In contrast, modern theology emphasizes inclusive, humanistic, and contextual approaches, represented by thinkers such as Nurcholish Madjid, Fazlur Rahman, and Hasan Hanafi. Their ideas shift theological discourse from a rigid, apologetic pattern toward a paradigm that promotes pluralism, social ethics, and interreligious engagement. This study concludes that Islamic theology remains dynamic and relevant, as it continues to negotiate between tradition and modernity, reason and revelation, and exclusivism and inclusivism.
