abdasastra : Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa (Sabdasastra : Journal of Javanese Language Education) is an open-access journal published by Department of Javanese Language Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret. The first issue of 2017 Volume 1 No 1 has ten articles. Sabdasastra has two issues in a year and it will be published in March and September. The focus and scope of this journal are language education, literature, philology, linguistics, culture, and local wisdom in Java.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the disclosure of the values of Javanese local cultural wisdom in a novel which has positive influences on its readers. The novel Dhalang Mbarang Katresnan by Tulus Setiyadi as one of the novels that contain local cultural wisdom is part of cultural documentation. Therefore, this study uses literary anthropology as an assessment tool. The purpose of this study is to explain the local wisdom of Javanese culture in the novel Dhalang Mbarang Katresnan by Tulus Setyadi. The research method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method. In this research, the data is the result of document analysis, and the data source is from the document. The sampling technique used in this research is the purposive sampling technique. The data collection in this study used document data assessment techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are two forms of local wisdom of Javanese culture. The first is local wisdom in the form of abstract values or norms that are beneficial if applied in everyday life. Second, there is objective local wisdom in the form of objects that can be seen.

Abstract

Peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Jawa di salah satu sekolah. Dari hasil wawancara tersebut diketahui bahwa pada kegiatan pembelajaran crita cekak guru hanya menggunakan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) dan buku teks. Berkaitan dengan hal itu, maka diperlukan materi ajar yang berasal dari majalah, seperti kumpulan crita cekak karya Mbah Met pada majalah Djaka Lodang yang berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai materi ajar Bahasa Jawa. Sehubungan dengan itu, peneliti mengkajinya dengan menggunakan pendekatan stilistika. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa, citraan, dan nilai pendidikan karakter, serta relevansinya sebagai materi ajar Bahasa Jawa di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa persentase tertinggi penggunaan gaya bahasa kumpulan crita cekak karya Mbah Met yaitu gaya bahasa antitesis sebesar 22.92% dan persentase terendahnya yaitu gaya bahasa asindenton dan polisindenton sebesar 1.04%. Persentase tertinggi penggunaan citraan kumpulan crita cekak karya Mbah Met yaitu citraan gerak (kinestetik) sebesar 34.23% dan persentase terendahnya yaitu citraan penciuman sebesar 1.34%. Persentase tertinggi nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan crita cekak karya Mbah Met yaitu nilai kejujuran sebesar 26% dan persentase terendahnya yaitu nilai menghargai prestasi dan gemar membaca sebesar 1%. Terkait dengan relevansinya, kumpulan crita cekak karya Mbah Met pada majalah Djaka Lodang dapat dijadikan sebagai materi ajar Bahasa Jawa di SMA pada tingkat X semester gasal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were: (1) To determine the effect of learning difficulties in Javanese language on learning outcomes in class VIII students of SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali simultaneously. (2) To determine the effect of learning difficulties in Javanese on learning outcomes in class VIII students of SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali partially. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The population from this research is all students of class VIII SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali. Samples were taken using probability sampling techniques by means of simple random sampling. The amount of samples in this research were 119 respondents. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The analysis prerequisite tests used in this research including: normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) There is a significant positive influence between the variables of learning difficulties in Javanese which consist of physiological, psychological, family, community and school environment on learning outcomes in class VIII students of SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali. (2) Based on the results of the analysis, simultaneously the physiological, psychological, family, community and school environment variables have a significant effect on learning outcomes in class VIII students of SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali. (3) Based on the results of the analysis, partially the physiological, psychological, family, community and school environment variables have a significant effect on learning outcomes in class VIII students of SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali.(4) The result of the regression line equation states that physiological variables have a coefficient of 0.549, psychological variables have a coefficient of 0.245, family variables have a coefficient of 0.257, community variables have a coefficient of 0.289 and school environment variables have a coefficient of 0.206. Therefore, physiological variables have the greatest contribution to learn outcomes in class VIII students of SMP IT Nur Hasan Boyolali.(5) The magnitude of the influence of physiological, psychological, family, community and school environment variables as seen from the Adjusted R square is 0.55.5. This means that 55.5% of learning outcomes can be explained by these six variables. While the rest (100% - 55.5% = 44.5%) is explained by other variables.

Abstract

The spread of moral issues in the community such as the use of narcotics and illegal drugs, pornography, brawls, rape, and so on are social issues of concern and have not been resolved. Drama script is one of the literary works that can be used as a tool to instill morals in the community in an effort to solve the problems that occur. This study aims to describe the representation of moral values in the drama script "Becik Nitik Ala Pilara" by M. Ahmad Jalidu. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with document analysis techniques. The data source of this research is the Becik Nitik Ala Pilara drama script by M. Ahmad Jalidu, the data is in the form of quotes contained in the script itself. The data analysis technique used is the flow analysis technique consisting of (1) data collection, (2) data purification or reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are five types of moral values contained in the Becik Nitik Ala Pilara manuscript by M. Ahmad Jalidu, including: (1) tolerance, (2) respect, (3) kindness, (4) self-control, ( 5) justice.

Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) expediency of Teams Game Tournament method blended with media Game Powerquiz to optimize piwulang text learning; and (2) response assessment from specialist of materials lecturer, specialist of media lecturer and teacher, and reaction from students of class 8th Junior High School about Teams Game Tournament method blended with media Game Powerquiz. The method used is R&D (Research and Development). The datas were collected ares informant and document and then to be analyzed with description qualitative and quantitative for describing expediency of Teams Game Tournament method blended with media Game Powerquiz to optimize piwulang text learning for students of class 8th Junior High School. Result of this research to show that: (1) development process was conducted in some phases covering analysis phase, developer observed the curriculum; design phase, developer designed material and game; development phase, developer made storyboard or draft for development learning media; validate phase, for evaluated material and media; and final phase, to corrected last evaluate; also result of assessment from specialist of materials lecturer 89,7 is very good assessment, result of assessment from specialist of media lecturer 89,5 is very good assessment, result of assessment from teacher 96,6 is very good assessment. Also positive responses from students to proving about Teams Game Tournament method blended with media Game Powerquiz able to be optimize for piwulang text learning.

Abstract

Penurunan moralitas dikalangan pelajar sebagai generasi penerus bangsa menjadi permasalah yang cukup genting. Pembelajaran sastra dikatakan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi atas dekandensi moral. Pembelajaran sastra yang mengandung nilai-nilai sosial pada tingkat SMA sangatlah penting karena berkaitan dengan masalah sosial dan nilai moral. Masalah sosial yang terus berkembang di masyarakat akan menjad hal yang menarik ketika siswa dapat mengamati dan memahami, sedangkan nilai moral yang diajarkan melalui sastra dapat menanggulangi kemerosotan moral. Naskah drama Lelakon karya Andy Sri Wahyudi dalam penggunaanya sebagai materi ajar bagi siswa dapat memberikan gambaran masalah sosial serta pesan yang mengandung nilai-nilai moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Beberapa hal yang akan dijelaskan adalah masalah sosial dan pesan moral dalam naskah drama Lelakon karya Andy Sri Wahyudi serta relevansi penggunaan naskah drama sebagai materi pembelajaran bahasa Jawa. Hasil temuan berupa empat bentuk masalah sosial, dan tiga alasan yang menjadikan naskah drama tersebut relevan menjadi materi ajar bagi siswa SMA.

Abstract

Tujuan dari diadakannya penelitian ini yakni memberikan deskripsi beserta penjelasan mengenai motivasi terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Jawa pada kegiatan belajar dengan cara daring dan juga solusinya. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ialah jenis penelitian yang dijalankan dalam penelitian ini. Informan dan dokumen menjadi sumber datanya. Kemudian purposive sampling merupakan teknik pengambilan subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Wawancara, angket, dan dokumen merupakan cara-cara pengumpulan data. Teknik member check yakni teknik yang dipilih untuk uji validitas dalam penelitian ini. Tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan termasuk ke dalam model mengalir dan kemudian diterapkan untuk analisis data pada penelitian ini. Dari hasil analisis data ditarik simpulan yakni motivasi siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Mojosongo Boyolali terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Jawa secara daring berbeda-beda meliputi bermotivasi belajar tinggi 28 siswa (87,5%), sedang sebanyak 2 siswa (6,3%), dan rendah sebanyak 2 siswa (6,3%). Motivasi belajar tinggi dominan pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar karena dibuktikan keinginan untuk berhasil dalam belajar Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jawa, sesuatu yang menarik siswa dalam belajar Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jawa, dan penghargaan untuk siswa. Solusi yang dilakukan antara lain: (1) pemberian nilai tambahan dalam hasil belajar Bahasa Jawa siswa; (2) hadiah; (3) siswa mengetahui hasil belajar Bahasa Jawa; dan (4) memberikan pujian kepada siswa. Solusi yang sering digunakan oleh guru yaitu pemberian nilai tambahan karena pada proses kenaikan kelas setiap akhir tahun pelajaran, nilai yang diperoleh siswa harus mencapai batas minimal KKM 65.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk penggunaan kohesi leksikal dalam geguritan pada majalah Jaya Baya edisi September – November 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan data tulis berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang mengandung aspek kohesi leksikal dalam geguritan pada majalah Jaya Baya edisi September – November 2020. Sumber data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjenis dokumen berupa geguritan pada majalah Jaya Baya edisi September – November 2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Analisis dokumen digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya penggunaan kohesi leksikal dalam geguritan pada majalah Jaya Baya edisi September – November 2020 yang sesuai sebanyak 58 data. Aspek kohesi leksikal yang repetisi sebanyak 5,1%, sinonimi sebanyak 4,2%, antonimi sebanyak 7,9%, kolokasi sebanyak 0,3%, hiponimi sebanyak 1,3%, dan ekuivalensi sebanyak 1,0%. Repetisi adalah aspek kohesi leksikal yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research is based on language learning in understanding a discourse. Morphological analysis and lexical meaning can help students and educators more easily understand discourse, especially descriptive texts of cultural events. Learning descriptive text of cultural events is contained in Basic Competencies, in Grade VII, Junior High School in 2013 curriculum, Central Java Province. In addition, it can enrich new vocabulary, especially in Javanese. Researchers have brought up the naming of umbul  in Klaten Regency with the aim of introducing potential to the younger generation by learning the Javanese language in particular. The name of the umbul  or feather is also suitable as a research object with a study of morphology and lexical meaning. The morphological processes found include: zero derivation, application, abbreviation, composition. The lexical meanings found are described according to the origin of the name umbul  or feathers, which are divided into the following categories: tree names, animal names, leaf names, figures/figures, object names, genus, hamlet name, village name, building, geographical situation, character based on of location near another building, verb, form. The object retrieval technique is targeted sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques using face-to-face or fishing techniques, recording techniques, note-taking techniques. The validity test used theoretical triangulation and data source triangulation from both informants and external supporting data. Data analysis procedures using fixed methods of comparison include: data reduction. Categorization, synthesis, formulation of working hypotheses. The results of the study are relevant for learning descriptive texts of cultural events KD 3.1 understands the content of descriptive texts about cultural events and KD 4.1 Responds to the content of descriptive texts about cultural events, in addition, it can promote the character of students responsible for the environment.

Abstract

This research have purposes for describe (1) drama text structure of “Jenggit Cembeng” creation of Trisno Santoso, (2) character education values on “Jenggit Cembeng” creation of Trisno Santoso, and (3) compatibility drama text “Jenggit Cembeng” creation of Trisno Santoso as alternative learning material on drama text study on Lower Secondary School students. Method of this research is descriptive qualitative research. Data resource on this research is document and informan. Content analysis and interview technical is using for collected data. Furthermore, data is ben analysis and then checked using resource and theory triangulation. Result of this research is: (1) structural result analysis is theme on this text is about human capability to manage egoistic. Theme of the text is related with chracters, that is the main or protagonist characters (Pak Wida and Bima) which have function to bring theme of story. Except protagonist characters, there are antagonist characters (Bu Mahanani and Panjang), tritagonist characters (Senen, Arum, Si Mul, and Palupi), and accomplice characters (Polisi, Tiar, and his friends). This text is using progressive plot and settle, based from time setting. Dialogue is using Javanese language register. Dialog have function to explain conflict, is talk about family and teenager conflict. Technical direction is written using capital letter and put on brackets sign. Furthermore, command from this text is context with theme of this text, that is importance to manage egoistic on our self so that can live in harmonious; (2) There are character education values including on this text. The most dominant is value about responsibility and hardworking based from the main characters; (3) Furthermore, this text will gived for teacher to conclude as alternative learning material on drama text study on SMP students, because have completed learning material criteria based from language, story, and character education values in this text.
