Abstract

Brand loyalty is crucial in the highly competitive smartphone market, where consumer preferences rapidly evolve. There are still not many studies that link brand loyalty to consumer risk aversion, so further research is needed. This study aims to examine the effect of risk aversion and customer attitudes on brand loyalty, with brand trust as a mediating factor, among Samsung smartphone users in Semarang, Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting survey data from 217 respondents using purposive sampling. The data that has been obtained is analyzed using SmartPLS 4.1. The results of the study show that risk aversion, customer attitude, and brand trust have a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty. In addition, risk aversion and customer attitude have been proven to have an effect on brand loyalty through brand trust. These findings underscore the critical role of brand trust in fostering loyalty. Smartphone companies should prioritize trust-building strategies, such as consistent quality, reliable after-sales service, and interactive social media engagement, to enhance consumer loyalty.

Abstract

Smallholder goat farmers in Jabung Village, Malang Regency, face significant challenges related to manual milking, including prolonged labor time and limited access to appropriate technologies. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a portable, battery-powered milking device in enhancing labor efficiency, technical knowledge, and economic outcomes for these farmers. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the research involved 50 farmers through a baseline survey, co-design process, a six-hour training session, and follow-up evaluation. The results showed that the device reduced the average milking time for five goats from 64 ± 4 minutes to 55 ± 3 minutes, indicating a 14% improvement. Farmers’ technical knowledge also increased significantly, from 42% to 85% after training. User satisfaction was high, averaging 4.2 out of 5, with women reporting greater ergonomic benefits. Economically, the device demonstrated an eight-month payback period based on a milk price of 12,000 Indonesian Rupiah per liter. Furthermore, 80% of farmers were able to operate the device independently after training. These findings suggest that the device holds strong potential to improve smallholder productivity and resilience, contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 and 7. However, limitations include the small sample size and the absence of data on milk quality, indicating the need for broader, long-term research.

Abstract

The residential property market in Indonesia has experienced significant growth, with a 1.89% increase in the Residential Property Price Index and a 31.16% rise in sales in the first quarter of 2024, though Surabaya recorded the lowest price growth in Java at 0.34%. This study aims to examine the determinants of home purchase decisions, including purchasing power, price, location, marketing advertisements, and developer brand image, with technology adoption as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 225 respondents across four housing projects in Gresik, East Java, through questionnaires analyzed with Moderated Structural Equation Modeling. The findings reveal that all determinants significantly influence home purchase decisions, with developer brand image having the strongest effect. Technology adoption enhances these relationships by improving information access and consumer trust through digital platforms. The study concludes that developers should prioritize digital marketing strategies, such as virtual tours and social media campaigns, to boost consumer engagement and address declining sales trends. These insights offer strategic guidance for enhancing marketing effectiveness in the evolving digital landscape of the housing sector.

Abstract

Generation Z, characterized by their preference for meaningful work, increasingly dominates the workforce in non-governmental organizations in Indonesia. Quality of work life is critical for fostering work engagement in this demographic, yet its impact remains underexplored in the non-governmental organization’s context. This study investigates the influence of quality of work life, based on Walton’s model, on work engagement among Generation Z employees in Indonesian non-governmental organizations. A quantitative survey design was employed, involving 286 Generation Z employees selected through accidental sampling. Data was collected using the Utrecht work engagement scale and a quality of work life scale adapted from Walton’s framework, analyzed via multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that quality of work life significantly predicts work engagement, with constitutionalism and total life space (13.73% contribution) as the most influential dimensions, supporting the hypothesis that quality of work life enhances engagement. Quality of work life plays a pivotal role in fostering vigor, dedication, and absorption among Generation Z in non-governmental organizations, confirming its importance in mission-driven settings. This study extends Walton’s quality of work life model to a new demographic and context, offering practical insights for non-governmental organizations to enhance engagement through fair policies and work-life balance initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived benefits, and perceived risks on the intention to use QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) in Semarang City, while also evaluating the role of trust as a moderating variable. The background of this research lies in the increasing adoption of digital payment systems in urban environments and the need to understand the behavioral drivers that shape user acceptance. Employing a quantitative explanatory approach, this study uses Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. A total of 200 active QRIS users in Semarang participated in the survey. The findings indicate that both perceived ease of use and perceived benefits significantly and positively influence the intention to use QRIS. Perceived risk also shows a positive but weaker impact. Trust does not moderate the relationship between perceptions and intention to use, nor does it directly affect intention. However, trust is significantly influenced by ease and benefits, but not by perceived risk. These results refine the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and suggest that promoting usability and visible benefits is key to accelerating digital payment adoption.
