Abstract

The background of study was because of the low writing skills of seventh grade students in Indonesian language subject, specifically in Procedure Text. In addition, the lack of various learning models and media application affects the students' activeness and their understanding towards procedural text material during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) learning model with the help of Prezi media on the skill of writing procedure text. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 22 Setiabudi Pamulang. This research uses experimental method with true experimental design and posttest-only control design. The result showed that AIR learning model influenced the procedure text writing skill of seventh grade. The findings was proved by the average posttest score in the experimental class which reached 82.50, while the average posttest score in the control class was only 67.72. Data analysis was conducted by calculating the Independent Sample t-test which showed the result of Sig. (2-tailed) results obtained 0.000> 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of data analysis that has been completed, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) learning model assisted by Prezi media on procedure text writing skill in class VII.

Abstract

Education is a process that takes place continuously and without end, aiming to change human attitudes and behavior so as to produce quality individuals. Language acts as a means of communication used to convey thoughts and feelings through symbols or signs. The ability to speak allows someone to convey ideas or messages orally clearly to others. In a formal context, the use of good and correct Indonesian is very important to convey information accurately. The ability to speak Indonesian has a strategic role because it is the unifying language and is widely used in education. However, in several regions such as Aceh, Madura, West Kalimantan, and Papua, the ability to speak Indonesian is still relatively low. Therefore, this study aims to examine learning methods that can improve students' speaking ability in Indonesian. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the literature review, several effective learning methods were found, such as the carousel method, discussion, assignments, utilization of the environment as a learning resource, and audio-visual methods. The results of the study showed that these methods made a significant contribution to improving students' Indonesian speaking skills. In addition, technology has also proven effective in supporting the improvement of good and correct Indonesian speaking skills.

Abstract

The era of globalization and digitalization brings new challenges in shaping the morals of the younger generation, such as the degradation of ethical values and the prevalence of unethical behavior in cyberspace. Character education is a strategic solution to build a generation with integrity and ethics. This study employs a literature review method with a systematic analysis of various scholarly sources related to character education from 2014 to 2024. The findings indicate that character education based on holistic values, such as wisdom, courage, and justice, has a positive impact on ethical behavior, academic achievement, and students' social interactions. The main challenges lie in the consistency of program implementation, the limited competencies of educators, and the lack of synergy among stakeholders. Moreover, the digital era demands character education integrating digital ethics to equip the younger generation with critical thinking skills and responsible media use. Through a collaborative approach, teacher training, and the development of relevant curricula, character education can create a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also morally mature.

Abstract

Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, has grown up in the digital era and is highly familiar with technology. Social media, particularly YouTube, has become one of the primary sources of information and learning for this generation. This study aims to explore the role of YouTube as an educational medium in the learning process of Generation Z.The research findings indicate that YouTube has become an effective learning resource for Generation Z. The platform provides access to a variety of educational content, ranging from tutorial videos, online lectures, to documentaries. Additionally, YouTube enables interaction among users, facilitating discussions and collaborative learning. However, the study also identifies several challenges in using YouTube as an educational tool. One challenge is the inconsistent quality of content, which requires careful filtering and evaluation. Furthermore, using YouTube for educational purposes necessitates critical and analytical skills to distinguish between accurate and inaccurate information. Overall, the study demonstrates that YouTube can be an effective educational medium for Generation Z, but it requires strict oversight and evaluation to ensure the quality of content and effective learning outcomes.

Abstract

The digital era of the 21st century has introduced transformative changes across various fields, including education. The deployment of digital resources and online services devices has facilitated learning that is more flexible, interactive, and accessible. However, effectively integrating technology into education demands a comprehensive understanding, particularly from educators. This study examines the Problems and Prospects associated with adopting technology in education, with a focus on the Indonesian context. Teachers in the digital age face substantial demands to innovate, develop digital skills, and align teaching methods with the needs of Generation Z, who have grown up surrounded by technology. Teachers who are professional, adaptable, and technologically skilled play a crucial role in driving educational innovation, improving teaching quality, and preparing students to meet the expectations the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This research aims to investigate the potential of technology to enhance educational access, develop innovative teaching approaches, and promote the success of technology-driven learning in Indonesia. The results are expected to offer strategic insights for building an efficient education system tailored to the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has become a crucial tool for achieving educational objectives more effectively and efficiently. However, it also presents a significant challenge for lecturers or teachers to enhance their skills in mastering technology and learning media. The role of learning media in the teaching and learning process is essential, as it serves as a tool to deliver messages from the sender to the recipient, while also helping students grasp the information shared by educators. Therefore, lecturers or teachers should incorporate media into the process. By doing so, using learning media can make the teaching and learning process more effective and efficient, while also fostering a stronger connection between teachers and students. Additionally, media can help alleviate boredom in the classroom. In summary, learning media is a method that addresses various challenges in teaching and provides students with comprehensive information.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of a guided inquiry-based Biology practicum guide with a contextual approach to the material on Mushrooms for class X MIPA. This research is Research and Development (R&D) which adopts the 4D development model which is modified to 3D (Define, Design, Development). The population in this study were students of class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 5 Jeneponto. The data collection technique was by using a validity and practicality assessment questionnaire. The data collected were data on the validity and practicality of the developed practicum guide. The results of the validity analysis showed that the Biology practicum guide that had been developed obtained a value of 0.82 which was in the valid category. While the results of the practicality analysis were in the range of values> 47.6 with a percentage of 100% of respondents, namely teachers and students, saying that the practicum guide was in the practical category so that it could be concluded that the biology practicum guide based on guided inquiry with a contextual approach on the Mushroom material in class X MIPA was valid and practical.

Abstract

This thesis is motivated by the observed issue that students in Class V at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Ishlah have low learning motivation during the teaching and learning process. Therefore, to attract students’ attention and enhance their motivation in learning Fiqih, the Resource-Based Learning (RBL) method can be applied. The purpose of this research is to identify the improvement in students’ learning motivation through the implementation of the Resource-Based Learning (RBL) method in Fiqih learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Ishlah.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The types of data used in this study are quantitative and qualitative data. The sources of data required and used include interviews with informants, documentation, and the teaching and learning process. Data collection instruments include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation.The results of this study indicate that the research process from the first cycle to the second cycle was carried out well. Students’ learning motivation in the Fiqih subject through the Resource-Based Learning model significantly improved. This is evident from the teaching and learning activities in the classroom. In the pre-cycle, the score showed 35.9%. This increased to 74.75% in the first cycle and further to 83% in the second cycle. Although the pre-cycle results did not meet the expected criteria, and the first cycle showed improvement but still fell short, the second cycle demonstrated significant improvement and met the established criteria.This indicates that the use of the Resource-Based Learning method in Class v MI Al ishlah can apparently increase atudents learning motivasi in fiqih subjects.

Abstract

The development of Indonesian in the digital era is a complex phenomenon influenced by information and communication technology (ICT), globalization, and the behavior of modern society. This transformation presents challenges in maintaining the authenticity and quality of Indonesian, especially with the widespread use of slang, abbreviations, and foreign terms on social media. This study aims to increase language awareness among the community, especially the younger generation, through effective education and training. The method used is a literature study, which collects and analyzes various sources of related literature. The results of the study show that high language awareness can encourage the use of good and correct Indonesian, and avoid the negative influence of foreign languages. Efforts to increase language awareness must involve various parties, including the government, educational institutions, and the community, to ensure that Indonesian remains sustainable and relevant amidst the development of the times. Thus, the importance of integrating digital literacy education and language policies that support the use of standard language is key to maintaining the existence of Indonesian in this digital era.

Abstract

Writing skills are one of the four language skills acquired by students. In the 5th-grade class at MI Muhammadiyah 1 Gumeno, there is an issue where students take a long time to complete writing compositions and struggle to arrange words. One solution to address this problem is the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model on the nonfiction text writing skills of 5th-grade students. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a weak experimental design (Pre-Experiment) involving only one treatment group without a control group. The subjects of this study were all 14 5th-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 1 Gumeno. The data collection technique used was testing, consisting of pre-tests and post-tests. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test, the Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These findings indicate that the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model has a significant effect on the nonfiction text writing skills of 5th-grade students
