Abstract

This study aims to provide education and utilize the Toga Ceria planting program as a living pharmacy at SD N 1 Demulih. This program aims to improve students' understanding of various medicinal plants, while maximizing the use of empty land at school as a means of learning and health. Through this activity, students are taught how to plant, care for, and utilize medicinal plants as natural remedies. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that planting Toga Ceria not only improves students' understanding of the benefits of medicinal plants, but also encourages independence, entrepreneurial spirit, and concern for the environment. This program plays an important role in introducing natural medicine to students and supporting health and environmental preservation in schools.

Abstract

Learning that lacks variety makes students less enthusiastic in learning activities which results in low motivation to learn in students. Therefore, the researcher applied wordwall learning media to increase the learning motivation of grade IV students of SD Taman in the science and science subjects for the 2024/2025 school year. This research aims to increase students' learning motivation through the use of word wall media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. There are 4 stages in each cycle, namely: Planning, Implementation, Observation, Reflection. The results of the study show that the application of Wordwall media has an impact on the change in attitude that occurs in students after applying learning with Wordwall media. The results of the research obtained were that the learning motivation of students in cycle 1 was 47% in the high category, in cycle II it increased to 93.47% in the very high category. The conclusion of this study is that the use of wordwall media can increase students' learning motivation in learning social studies in grade IV of SD Taman.

Abstract

In learning, there are components related to the learning process, one of which is the learning method. In connection with the learning process under study, it was found that so far the learning material at SMP IT Al-Kahfi was taught through relatively conventional methods, so that the absorption of material for some students seemed monotonous and boring. This study aims to describe the learning methods applied at SMP IT Al-Kahfi. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with primary data collection through interviews and observations As for secondary data obtained through documentation. The results showed that the application of active learning methods at SMP IT Al-Kahfi was 100% unsuccessful, this was indicated by the results of observations and interviews with PAI teachers at SMP IT Al-Kahfi. This is also influenced by 2 factors, namely supporting factors such as the existence of adequate learning facilities and resources, high student interest in learning, and the enthusiasm and professionalism of Islamic education teachers in guiding their students and inhibiting factors, namely the existence of some students who are still reluctant to express their opinions, and different student backgrounds. Active learning methods need to be improved so that students can be actively involved in learning activities.

Abstract

Child exploitation is a serious problem that affects the future of the nation's next generation. Even though the Child Protection Law Number 23 of 2002 regulates the prohibition of child exploitation, various forms of exploitation such as economic, social and sexual exploitation are still widespread in Indonesia. Based on data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), cases of child exploitation have increased significantly from year to year. Exploited children often work in inappropriate conditions, such as being "silvermen" for busking or begging, which affects their physical, psychological and social conditions. This research aims to explore the impact of exploitation on children as a whole, especially in terms of physical health, psychological development and educational opportunities. Apart from that, economic factors which are the main triggers for exploitation are also discussed as the root of the problem. The long-term impacts of child exploitation, such as trauma, low educational opportunities, and limited access to escape the cycle of poverty, are the main concerns in this paper. It is hoped that this research will provide a deeper understanding of the urgency of protecting children from exploitation and the importance of collective efforts in breaking the cycle of exploitation for a better future for children.

Abstract

Euthanasia and suicide are complex ethical and legal issues, especially in a religious context. Suicide is an act of destroying oneself by using substances (poison/drugs) which results in death. A person commits suicide due to frustration and considers that suicide is the only alternative to change his life and that death is not the opposite of life. This research aims to analyze Islamic views on the practice of euthanasia and suicide. Through an in-depth study of the Quran, hadith, and opinions of ulama, this research concludes that both euthanasia and suicide are strictly prohibited in Islam. This prohibition is based on the belief that life is a gift from Allah SWT that should not be taken carelessly. This research also discusses the legal and ethical implications of this prohibition in the context of modern society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which fifth grade students of SDN Kertobanyon were able to master the science subject "Hearing Because of Sound" with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning approach. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology, the process and influence of PBL implementation on student understanding were studied. Direct observation, in-depth student interviews, and document analysis were used to collect data, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis methods, the form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that the implementation of PBL succeeded in significantly increasing student engagement, with students showing improvements in communication skills, group work, and critical thinking. In addition, students said that the PBL paradigm improved their understanding of good ideas and made learning more interesting and participatory. However, this study also identified several challenges, including differences in student ability levels and limited time available for problem solving. To overcome these challenges, teachers are advised to provide additional support to students who need it and develop more efficient learning strategies. In conclusion, the PBL model is effective in improving students' understanding of science and science concepts and can be applied more widely in the context of elementary school learning, as long as it is carried out with careful planning and adaptation to classroom conditions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to use the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) paradigm to improve the understanding and application of Pancasila values in fifth grade students of Kertobanyon Elementary School. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was the methodology used; this study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Observation data from the first cycle showed that students' understanding of Pancasila values was still limited to theoretical knowledge and involvement in group discussions was still low. After adjustments were made in the second cycle, such as a more in-depth explanation of PBL and stronger motivation, student participation increased significantly. They became more active in discussions, expressed opinions, and worked together with group members to solve problems. In addition, students' understanding of Pancasila values also developed, and they were able to recognize and use these principles in authentic situations. Students' ability to collaborate and think critically was positively impacted by the use of the PBL model. Overall, this study shows that the PBL paradigm has succeeded in improving the standard of teaching of Pancasila Education while also fostering students' capacity to think critically and work together in teams. Therefore, the PBL model is worthy of evaluation as a teaching strategy that can be used more widely to instill Pancasila values in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research was conducted by Intan Mutiara Iriani Romiro with the title "The Values and Meaning of Tebe Dance in Babotin Maemina Village, Botin Leobele District, Malaka Regency." The aim of this study is to reveal the values and meaning of the Tebe Dance performed by the community in Babotin Maemina Village. Tebe Dance is a cultural heritage rich in traditional values passed down from generation to generation. This dance not only serves as an artistic expression but also as a means of social communication that strengthens the sense of togetherness and the identity of the local community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with cultural figures, dancers, and direct observation of the dance performance. In addition, literature studies were utilized to enrich the understanding of the cultural and historical context of the dance. The results of the study indicate that Tebe Dance embodies important values such as togetherness, respect for ancestors, as well as symbols of unity and cultural identity. The philosophical meaning of the movements in the Tebe Dance also reflects a harmonious relationship between humans and nature, as well as among community members. In conclusion, Tebe Dance functions not only as entertainment or ritual but also as a medium to strengthen social solidarity and preserve the cultural identity of the Babotin Maemina community. Therefore, efforts to preserve and reintroduce these values to younger generations are essential to ensure they remain intact in the future.

Abstract

Sekaf and Tsiom Manikin in wedding traditions Ketmoen tribe in Kuluan Village, Biboki Feotleu District, North Central Timor Regency. The problem in this research is what the process and stages of implementing the Sekaf and Tsiom Manikin are in the marriage traditions of the Ketmoen Tribe in Kuluan village, Biboki Feotleu District, what is the meaning of Sekaf and Tsiom Manikin in the traditional marriage traditions of the Ketmoen Tribe in Kuluan village, Biboki Feotleu District. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collected is both primary data and secondary data that has been obtained from the field. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this research were village heads and tribal heads. This research shows that the traditional marriage process in Kuluan village generally has the same process and stages, but is then divided into rules regarding the size of the dowry according to the statutes/ART in each tribe. The process and stages in the marriage tradition consist of four stages, namely: (a). tois tua (get to know), (b). onaf hauno'o (proposing marriage), (c) puah manus (lifting the first Belis), (d) tsiom manikin (accepting blessings). The meaning of Sekaf itself is as a substitute, in this case taking the place of her mother who has gone to follow her husband's family, while Tsiom Manikin has the meaning of receiving a traditional blessing from the woman's tribal house as a blessing to go and follow her husband.

Abstract

MIN 20 Aceh Besar is one of the state schools in the science learning process using package books in the form of teacher's books and student learning books provided by the government, which is a publication outside the Aceh region, where the package book itself does not discuss the local wisdom that exists in Aceh, especially in Aceh Besar so that students still do not understand the meaning and examples of local wisdom that exist in the local area, namely Aceh Besar. The teacher delivers material according to the textbook without using learning models, especially science material. The aim of the research is to analyze the feasibility test of an inquiry model learning device based on Aceh Besar's local wisdom on material on the digestive system and balanced nutrition that is appropriate for class V students of MIN 20 Aceh Besar. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The data collection technique uses a feasibility test sheet. The data analysis technique uses a percentage formula. The research results of the feasibility test of the learning device based on local wisdom, Aceh Besar obtained a result of 98.3% with a very feasible category, the results of the feasibility test on the digestive system material and balanced nutrition with a model of inquiry based on local wisdom, Aceh Besar obtained a result of 94% with a very feasible category and The results of the language feasibility test on local wisdom-based inquiry learning tools, Aceh Besar, obtained 80% results with adequate national education. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the feasibility test of the Aceh Besar local wisdom-based inquiry model learning device on digestive system and balanced nutrition material is suitable for use in the learning process.
