JATIMAS aims to provide a platform for publishing reports and research findings on community service activities conducted in rural areas, with a specific emphasis on addressing the needs and challenges faced by rural communities. The journal seeks to promote knowledge sharing and innovative approaches to enhance the well-being and development of rural areas. The journal scope includes (but is not limited to): 1. Community Service Activities: The journal welcomes reports on a wide range of community service activities undertaken in rural areas or related to agricultural activities, such as healthcare initiatives, educational programs, infrastructure development projects, environmental conservation efforts, social welfare projects, and more. These reports should highlight the impact and outcomes of the activities, providing valuable insights for future initiatives. 2. Rural Community Development: Manuscripts focusing on strategies, policies, and best practices for rural community development are encouraged. This may include topics such as capacity building, entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods, local governance, social inclusion, and empowering marginalized groups within rural communities. 3. Agricultural Innovations and Practices: The journal covers agricultural topics relevant to rural areas, including but not limited to agricultural practices, techniques, innovations, and technologies. Contributions may explore areas such as crop cultivation, livestock management, agroforestry, sustainable farming methods, organic agriculture, and the use of modern tools and machinery in rural farming. 4. Sustainable Resource Management: Manuscripts addressing the sustainable management of natural resources in rural areas are of particular interest. This includes research on land use planning, water resource management, soil conservation, biodiversity preservation, and the adoption of renewable energy sources in rural communities. 5. Policy and Governance: The journal encourages articles examining policy frameworks and governance mechanisms that influence rural development and agricultural practices. These may include analyses of government policies, regulations, funding mechanisms, and institutional arrangements relevant to rural community service and agricultural sectors. 6. Case Studies and Experiences: The journal welcomes case studies and practical experiences from researchers, practitioners, and community members engaged in rural community service and agricultural activities. These reports should provide valuable insights into successful models, challenges encountered, lessons learned, and recommendations for future endeavours. JATIMAS seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, bridge the gap between research and practice, and contribute to the overall development and sustainability of rural areas worldwide.

Abstract

Along with the use of chemical fertilizers, it hurts the environment and agricultural ecosystem. Increased awareness of the damage caused by synthetic chemical fertilizers has encouraged the search for more sustainable alternatives, such as organic fertilizers and the role of microorganisms such as Nitrobacteria in agriculture. Nitrobacteria are soil bacteria that play an important role in the natural nitrogen cycle. Nitrobacter's primary benefit in the nitrogen cycle significantly impacts plant growth and overall agricultural productivity. Training on making Nitrobacter was held in Sendangnongko, Wonoharjo, Kemusu, Boyolali, Central Java in July 2023. Participants in the Sido Mulyo Farmers Group activity were 18 people. The method of service activities was in the form of material counselling and then continued with the practice of making Nitrobacter. Participants were given material regarding the benefits of Nitrobacter, how to get it, how to reproduce it, and its application on agricultural land. The aim of this community service is that Sendangnongko residents can contribute to developing environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture in meeting food needs and reducing farming costs caused by synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides. By increasing the natural availability of nitrogen nutrients, Nitrobacter helps reduce the need for synthetic nitrogen fertilizers (Urea), which tend to cause negative impacts on the environment. Several previous studies related to Nitrobacter positively impacted the decreasing use of synthetic chemical fertilizers in rice farming. Plants are more resistant to pests and diseases and do not damage the environment. Another benefit is that farmers' finances can be reduced when spending on fertilizers and pesticides so that farming costs can be reduced. The results of this training have the impact of increasing agricultural productivity or improving the welfare of local communities. Seiring dengan pemanfaatan pupuk kimia, membawa dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan ekosistem pertanian. Peningkatan kesadaran akan kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh pupuk kimia sintesis telah mendorong pencarian alternatif yang lebih berkelanjutan, seperti penggunaan pupuk organik dan peran mikroorganisme seperti Nitrobakter dalam pertanian. Nitrobakter merupakan jenis bakteri tanah yang berperan penting dalam siklus nitrogen alami. Manfaat utama Nitrobacter dalam siklus nitrogen memiliki dampak signifikan pada pertumbuhan tanaman dan produktivitas pertanian secara keseluruhan. Pelatihan Pembuatan Nitrobacter dilaksanakan di Sendangnongko, Wonoharjo, Kemusu, Boyolali, Jawa Tengah pada bulan Juli 2023. Peserta kegiatan Kelompok Tani Sido Mulyo sebanyak 18 orang. Metode kegiatan pengabdian berupa penyuluhan materi lalu dilanjutkan dengan praktek pembuatan Nitrobacter. Peserta diberi materi terkait manfaat Nitrobacter, cara mendapatkan, cara memperbanyak, dan aplikasi di lahan pertanian. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini warga Sendangnongko dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan pertanian ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan serta mengurangi biaya usaha tani yang diakibatkan pupuk dan pestisida sintesis kimia. Dengan meningkatkan ketersediaan nutrisi nitrogen secara alami, Nitrobacter membantu mengurangi kebutuhan akan pupuk nitrogen sintetis (Urea) yang cenderung menyebabkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya terkait Nitrobacter berdampak positif pada penggunaan pupuk kimia sintetis yang makin berkurang di pertanian padi. Tanaman lebih tahan hama penyakit dan tidak merusak lingkungan. Manfaat lain keuangan petani untuk belanja pupuk dan pestisida bisa ditekan sehingga biaya usaha tani dapat berkurang. Hasil dari pelatihan ini berdampak peningkatan produktivitas pertanian atau peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Sustainable management of plastic waste is an important issue in the context of the environment and community welfare. This community service activity is intended to develop a method for processing plastic waste into eco-bricks in Kepuhdoko Village, Jombang, East Java. A participatory approach was used throughout the process to actively involve the community. The implementing team collects, separates and processes plastic waste into eco-bricks that comply with construction standards. The result was increased public awareness regarding plastic waste management and eco-bricks that can be used in local construction projects. These findings also provide a logical continuation of previous plastic waste management efforts. The implication is that processing plastic waste into eco-bricks is quite a solution in reducing the negative impacts of plastic waste and supporting sustainable development. Pengelolaan sampah plastik yang berkelanjutan menjadi isu penting dalam konteks lingkungan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan community service ini dimaksud untuk mengembangkan metode pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi eco bricks di Kelurahan Kepuhdoko, Jombang, Jawa Timur. Pendekatan partisipatif digunakan dalam seluruh proses untuk melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif. Tim pelaksana mengumpulkan, memisahkan, dan mengolah sampah plastik menjadi eco bricks yang sesuai dengan standar konstruksi. Hasilnya adalah peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terkait pengelolaan sampah plastik dan eco bricks yang dapat digunakan dalam proyek konstruksi lokal. Temuan ini juga memberikan kelanjutan logis dari upaya pengelolaan sampah plastik sebelumnya. Implikasinya adalah bahwa pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi eco bricks cukup solutif dalam pengurangan dampak negatif sampah plastik dan mendukung konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Community service in the farming environment is a concept that describes the active efforts of agricultural instructors and educators in making positive contributions to farming communities. This activity was carried out in the working area of the Sumber Rejeki Farmers Group, Durenan District, Trenggalek Regency, East Java. Target farmers will receive knowledge and implement best practices to increase agricultural productivity sustainably. The aim of preparing planting arrangements is to help with more efficient and sustainable agricultural planning by considering natural cycles and the characteristics of the plants to be cultivated. The planting plan was designed based on climate factors, temperature, rainfall and duration of sunlight. Plant characteristics were also an essential consideration in determining planting plans. Planting planning is an essential tool in modern agriculture because it will facilitate agricultural actors to plan and manage agriculture more effectively, increase productivity and maintain environmental sustainability. Integration between educators, agricultural extension workers and farmer groups provides tangible benefits for overcoming food problems and building solid foundations for sustainable agriculture. It also appreciates farmers' important role in maintaining communities' resilience and well-being. Pengabdian masyarakat di lingkungan petani merupakan konsep yang menggambarkan upaya aktif penyuluh pertanian dan tenaga pendidik dalam memberikan kontribusi positif kepada masyarakat tani. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Kelompok Tani Sumber Rejeki, Kecamatan Durenan, Kabupaten Trenggalek, Jawa Timur. Petani sebagai sasaran akan menerima pengetahuan dan melakukan praktik terbaik untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian secara berkelanjutan. Penyusunan tata tanam bertujuan untuk membantu perencanaan pertanian yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutan dengan memperhitungkan siklus alam dan karakteristik tanaman yang akan dibudidayakan. Rencana tata tanam dirancang berdasarkan faktor iklim, suhu, curah hujan, dan durasi sinar matahari. Karakteristik tanaman juga menjadi pertimbangan penting dalam menentukan rencana tata tanam. Rencana tata tanam adalah alat yang sangat penting dalam pertanian modern karena akan memfasilitasi pelaku pertanian untuk merencanakan dan mengelola pertanian lebih efektif, meningkatkan produktivitas, dan menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan. Integrasi antara tenaga pendidik, penyuluh pertanian, dan kelompok tani memberikan manfaat nyata untuk mengatasi masalah pangan serta membangun fondasi kuat untuk pertanian berkelanjutan. Hal ini juga menghargai peran penting yang dimainkan oleh petani dalam menjaga ketahanan dan kesejahteraan komunitas.

Abstract

Sweet potatoes have been used in various processed products such as flour, flakes, crackers and cakes. However, sweet potato leaves are still limited to animal feed. Sweet potato leaves contain fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidant compounds such as flavonoids, saponins and polyphenols, which have health potential. This community service was carried out in Kwagean Village, Nganjuk Regency, especially residents of RW 007. This community service aims to develop sweet potato cultivation in the yard and process sweet potato leaves into chips. The stages of this activity include situation analysis, licensing, outreach, cultivation practices, chip of sweet potato leaf processing practices, and mentoring for one year. The results of this activity were expected to increase knowledge and family income in Kwagean Village. This activity provided positive benefits in introducing sweet potato cultivation and sweet potato leaf processing to the Kwagean Village community, as well as enabling the transfer of knowledge and skills that can improve the welfare of residents Ubi jalar telah digunakan dalam berbagai produk olahan seperti tepung, flakes, kerupuk, dan kue. Namun, pemanfaatan daun ubi jalar masih terbatas pada pakan ternak. Padahal, daun ubi jalar mengandung serat, vitamin, mineral, dan senyawa antioksidan seperti flavonoid, saponin, dan polifenol yang memiliki potensi kesehatan. Penngabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Kwagean, Kabupaten Nganjuk khususnya warga RW 007. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan budidaya ubi jalar pada pekarangan dan pengolahan daun ubi jalar menjadi keripik. Tahapan kegiatan ini meliputi analisis situasi, perizinan, sosialisasi, praktek budidaya, praktek pengolahan keripik daun ubi jalar, dan pendampingan selama satu tahun. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pendapatan keluarga di Desa Kwagean. Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat positif dalam mengenalkan budidaya ubi jalar dan pengolahan daun ubi jalar kepada masyarakat Desa Kwagean, serta memungkinkan transfer pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan warga

Abstract

This community service activity aims to invite the people of Joho Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency to be active in greening the environment through cultivating avocado plants. This research responds to the increasingly pressing issues of climate change and environmental damage by offering sustainable and effective solutions. The methodology for this activity included a participatory approach involving local communities, starting from planning, counseling, and training, preparation for planting and plant maintenance, monitoring and evaluation by the team. The results of this activity included increasing public awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and the role of plants in absorbing carbon dioxide. Apart from that, it is hoped that the avocados produced can increase people's income through the sale of avocados. Avocado cultivation also contributes to improving the quality of the environment around Joho Village by improving air and land quality. This activity created a positive synergy between community empowerment and environmental conservation, as well as providing concrete examples of how plant cultivation can be a solution to overcoming climate change and supporting sustainable living.   Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengajak masyarakat Desa Joho, Kecamatan Semen, Kabupaten Kediri aktif dalam penghijauan lingkungan melalui budidaya tanaman alpukat. Penelitian ini merespons isu-isu perubahan iklim dan kerusakan lingkungan yang semakin mendesak, dengan menawarkan solusi berkelanjutan dan berdaya guna. Metodologi kegiatan ini mencakup pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan masyarakat setempat mulai dari perencanaan, penyuluhan dan pelatihan, persiapan penanaman, dan pemeliharaan tanaman, monitoring dan evaluasi oleh tim. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mencakup peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan dan peran tanaman dalam penyerapan karbon dioksida. Selain itu, buah alpukat yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat menambah pendapatan masyarakat melalui penjualan buah alpukat. Budidaya tanaman alpukat juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas lingkungan sekitar Desa Joho dengan perbaikan kualitas udara dan lahan. Kegiatan ini menciptakan sinergi positif antara pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pelestarian lingkungan, serta memberikan contoh konkret tentang bagaimana budidaya tanaman dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi perubahan iklim dan mendukung kehidupan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

One of the problems the agricultural sector faces is the control of plant pest organisms (OPT). OPT control usually carried out by farmers is the use of chemical pesticides. Excessive use of chemical pesticides harms the environment. Environmentally friendly pest control efforts can be carried out by using vegetable pesticides. The use of botanical pesticides to control pest attacks still needs to be widely used by farmers. One effort to introduce plant-based pesticides is by carrying out outreach to introduce and manufacture environmentally friendly plant-based pesticides. The outreach was carried out directly with residents in Joho Village, Semen District, and Kediri Regency, and the practice of making vegetable pesticides was continued. The outreach was conducted to familiarize Joho Village residents with plants that can be used as essential ingredients for making vegetable pesticides. Plants used as pesticides can be taken from the roots, seeds, and leaves. Plants used as essential ingredients for vegetable pesticides include garlic, shallots, neem leaves, seeds, papaya leaves, roto wali, and various spices. The results of making vegetable pesticides will be distributed to residents in Joho Village, most of whom are farmers. Apart from that, plant seeds were also distributed to residents. The plant used as a botanical pesticide is garlic. This is because garlic contains allicin, tannin, saponin, and flavonoids. These compounds can cause a decrease in appetite in insects, inhibit molting, inhibit reproduction of female insects, cause larval death, suppress pupa formation, increase mortality, and disrupt insect metabolism. Garlic-based vegetable pesticides can be applied to horticultural crops such as chilies and eggplants. Through socialization, village residents understand how to make vegetable pesticides Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh sektor pertanian adalah Pengendalian Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT). Pengendalian OPT yang biasa dilakukan oleh petani yaitu penggunaan pestisida kimia. Penggunaan pestisida kimia secara berlebihan memiliki dampak buruk bagi lingkungan. Upaya pengendalian OPT yang ramah lingkungan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pestisida nabati. Penggunaan pestisida nabati untuk mengendalikan serangan OPT masih belum banyak digunakan oleh petani. Salah satu upaya pengenalan pestisida nabati yaitu dengan cara pelaksanaan sosialisasi pengenalan dan pembuatan pestisida nabati ramah lingkungan. Sosialisasi dilaksanakan secara langsung dengan warga di Desa Joho, Kecamatan Semen, Kabupaten Kediri dan dilanjutkan praktek pembuatan pestisida nabati. Sosialisasi dilakukan dengan tujuan agar warga Desa Joho lebih mengenal tumbuhan yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan pestisida nabati. Tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai pestisida dapat diambil dari bagian akar, biji dan daun. Tumbuhan yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dasar pestisida nabati antara lain: Bawang putih, bawang merah, daun dan biji mimba, daun papaya, rotowali dan berbagai rempah-rempah. Hasil pembuatan pestisida nabati akan dibagikan kepada warga di Desa Joho, yang sebagian besar adalah petani. Selain itu juga dibagikan bibit tanaman kepada warga setempat. Tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai bahan pestisida nabati adalah bawang putih. Hal ini karena kandungan bawang putih yaitu, allicin, tannin, saponin dan flavonoid. Senyawan tersebut dapat mengakibatkan penurunan nafsu makan pada serangga, menghambat pergantian kulit, menghambat reproduksi serangga betina, menyebabkan kematian larva, menekan pembentukan pupa, meningkatkan mortalitas, serta menggangu metabolisme serangga. Abstract

As the nation's hope, the youth play a crucial role in developing a country. They represent the next generation expected to bring progress and prosperity to the nation. However, the potential of the youth cannot be fully realized if the dangerous habit of smoking compromises their health. Smoking can have severe implications for the health of the youth, including risks of heart disease, respiratory issues, and cancer. Moreover, it can hinder academic and overall achievements in various fields. Therefore, educating the youth about the dangers of smoking, encouraging them to steer clear of this habit, and providing access to a healthy lifestyle are vital steps in the context of building a healthy and high-achieving nation. A community engagement program was conducted in Grojogan Village, Nganjuk District, East Java Province, to educate the youth about the hazards of smoking and motivate them to lead a smoke-free, healthy life. The method employed was an educative and participatory approach, utilizing a peer education model that involved groups of youths who had successfully quit smoking in providing guidance and information to their peers. The target participants were youths aged 15 to 25 from various youth communities. The respondent selection was carried out through an initial survey to identify youths who were currently smokers or at high risk of becoming smokers. The outcomes of this program include an increase in the knowledge of the youth regarding the dangers of smoking, a boost in motivation to quit smoking, and heightened awareness of the benefits of a smoke-free life. Furthermore, the program effectively mobilized groups of youths who had quit smoking to offer support and guidance to their peers. Consequently, this program has the potential to reduce the prevalence of smoking among the youth, positively impacting their health and achievements. Pemuda harapan bangsa memiliki peran krusial dalam pembangunan sebuah negara. Mereka adalah penerus generasi yang diharapkan membawa kemajuan dan kesejahteraan bagi bangsa. Namun, potensi pemuda tidak akan terwujud dengan baik jika kesehatan mereka terganggu oleh kebiasaan merokok yang berbahaya. Merokok dapat berdampak serius pada kesehatan pemuda, termasuk risiko terhadap penyakit jantung, penyakit pernapasan, dan kanker. Selain itu, rokok juga dapat menghambat prestasi akademik dan prestasi dalam berbagai bidang lainnya. Oleh karena itu, mendidik pemuda tentang bahaya merokok, mendorong mereka untuk menjauhi kebiasaan merokok, dan memberikan akses untuk hidup sehat merupakan langkah yang sangat penting dalam konteks pembangunan bangsa yang sehat dan berprestasi. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Grojogan, Kabupaten Nganjuk, Provinsi Jawa Timur, dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi kepada pemuda mengenai bahaya merokok dan mendorong mereka untuk hidup sehat tanpa rokok. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif, dengan model pendidikan sebaya yang melibatkan kelompok pemuda yang telah berhasil berhenti merokok dalam penyuluhan kepada teman sebaya. Sasaran kegiatan adalah pemuda usia 15 hingga 25 tahun dari berbagai komunitas pemuda. Seleksi responden dilakukan melalui survei awal untuk mengidentifikasi pemuda yang merokok atau berisiko tinggi menjadi perokok. Hasil dari program ini mencakup peningkatan pengetahuan pemuda tentang bahaya merokok, peningkatan motivasi untuk berhenti merokok, dan peningkatan kesadaran akan manfaat hidup tanpa rokok. Program ini juga berhasil memobilisasi kelompok pemuda yang telah berhenti merokok untuk memberikan dukungan kepada rekan-rekan sebaya. Dengan demikian, program ini berpotensi mengurangi prevalensi merokok di kalangan pemuda, yang akan berdampak positif pada kesehatan dan prestasi mereka.

Abstract

Tanjungsari Village is located in Karangrejo District and consists of 2 hamlets, namely Tiyang Hamlet and Tanjung Hamlet. However, there are problems with fishing using chemicals and electric shock devices. Therefore, the service team conducts outreach activities to increase awareness of maintaining the aquatic ecosystem environment. The stages of implementing service activities included initial coordination with stakeholders and Neighborhood heads, then analysis of the location situation and observation of the service site, next installation of appeal plaques, and finally, evaluation of the results. The result of this service was that implementing a service activity program with the residents of Tanjungsari Village can increase their insight into caring for the surrounding environment. Young people must understand the role of protecting ecosystems, especially in water. It is necessary to carry out further services to monitor the success of previous services Desa Tanjungsari terletak di Kecamatan Karangrejo dan terdiri dari 2 dusun yaitu Dusun Tiyang dan Dusun Tanjung. Namun, terdapat permasalahan penangkapan ikan menggunakan bahan kimia dan alat setrum. Maka dari itu tim pengabdian melaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dalam pemeliharaan lingkungan ekosistem perairan. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian meliputi koordinasi awal kepada stakeholder dan ketua RT, kemudian analisis situasi lokasi dan observasi tempat pengabdian, selanjutnya, pemasangan plakat himbauan, dan terakhir evaluasi hasil. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah Terlaksananya program kegiatan pengabdian dengan warga Desa Tanjungsari dapat menambah wawasan tentang kepedulian menjaga lingkungan sekitar. Pentingnya peran pemuda mengerti menjaga ekosistem khususnya di perairan. Perlu dilakukan pengabdian lanjutan untuk memonitoring keberhasilan dari pengabdian sebelumnya

Abstract

Inorganic waste is generally difficult to decompose, so that it can pollute the environment. One of the inorganic wastes that can be reused is plastic bottle waste, which can be used as a planting medium. Based on the background of this problem, community service was carried out by involving the community from various representative elements, including LPMD (Empowerment Community Village Institution), PokMas (Group Community), Karang Taruna, PKK (Fostering Family Welfare), and youth from the Joho Village mosque, Semen District, Kediri Regency. The aim of this activity is outreach and education to the public to reduce the production of plastic waste because of its dangers to health and environmental sustainability (reduce principle) and training and direct practice in skills for reusing plastic bottle waste into more valuable goods (reuse principle). The emancipatory participation method was applied to activities so that interaction and dialogue occur with residents through education and training activities with three stages: survey stage, preparation stage, and implementation of education and practical skills training. From this community service activity, it was concluded that education about the dangers of plastic waste for health and environmental sustainability can run well and smoothly. The participants were enthusiastic about participating in the skills training for making plant pots from various waste plastic bottles. Limbah anorganik umumnya sulit terurai sehingga dapat mencemari lingkungan. Salah satu sampah an-organik yang dapat dimanfaatkan kembali (reuse) adalah limbah botol plastik yang dapat digunakan sebagai tempat media tanam. Dari latar belakang permasalahan tersebut, maka pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan masyarakat dari berbagai unsur perwakilan, di antaranya dari LPMD, PokMas, Karang Taruna, PKK, dan remaja masjid Desa Joho, Kecamatan Semen, Kabupaten Kediri. Adapun tujuan kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi ke masyarakat untuk mengurangi produksi limbah plastik karena bahayanya bagi kesehatan dan kelestarian lingkungan (prinsip reduce) dan pelatihan dan praktek langsung ketrampilan pemanfaatan kembali limbah botol plastik menjadi barang yang lebih bernilai (prinsip reuse). Metode partisipasi emansipatoris diterapkan pada kegiatan sehingga terjadi interaksi dan dialog dengan warga melalui kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu: tahap survei, tahap persiapan, dan pelaksanaan edukasi dan pelatihan praktek ketrampilan. Dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa edukasi tentang bahayanya limbah plastik bagi kesehatan dan kelestarian lingkungan dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Para peserta antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan ketrampilan pembuatan pot tanaman dari berbagai limbah botol plastik.

Abstract

Counseling in Musi Lor Village, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency, regarding the use of drones in agriculture has shown significant results in increasing the efficiency of agricultural processes. Using drones in fertilizing and exterminating pests replaces conventional methods, providing benefits in time efficiency, reduced labor, technological education, and spraying accuracy. Time efficiency can be seen with the drone's ability to spray ten minutes per hectare, reaching four hectares per hour, far exceeding manual methods. Reducing the workforce also contributes to lower operational costs. In addition, technology education and adaptation to the latest innovations are significant added values. However, there are several disadvantages, such as high initial costs and the effect of wind on spraying accuracy. The survey of training participants' satisfaction results showed that 75% agreed with the effectiveness of drones as the main tool in agriculture. Meanwhile, 60% believe that using drones can reduce labor costs. A positive response was also given to using village funds to procure agricultural drones, considering the adequacy of funds in Musi Lor Village. Despite obstacles such as high initial costs and environmental factors, such as wind, agricultural drones offer a long-term solution with efficiency and accuracy benefits. The reliability, durability and adaptability of drone technology were the main factors when considering the adoption of this technology in the agricultural sector Penyuluhan di Desa Musi Lor, Kecamatan Rejoso, Kabupaten Nganjuk, mengenai penggunaan drone dalam pertanian telah menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi proses pertanian. Penggunaan drone dalam pemupukan dan pembasmian hama menggantikan metode konvensional, memberikan keuntungan berupa efisiensi waktu, pengurangan tenaga kerja, edukasi teknologi, dan akurasi penyemprotan. Efisiensi waktu terlihat dengan kemampuan drone menyemprot sepuluh menit per hektar, mencapai empat hektar per jam, jauh melebihi metode manual. Pengurangan tenaga kerja juga berkontribusi pada penurunan biaya operasional. Selain itu, pendidikan teknologi dan adaptasi terhadap inovasi terbaru menjadi nilai tambah signifikan. Namun, terdapat beberapa kekurangan, seperti biaya awal yang tinggi dan pengaruh angin terhadap akurasi penyemprotan. Hasil survei kepuasan peserta pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 75% setuju dengan efektivitas drone sebagai alat utama dalam pertanian. Sementara itu, 60% percaya bahwa penggunaan drone dapat mengurangi biaya tenaga kerja. Tanggapan positif juga diberikan terhadap penggunaan dana desa untuk pengadaan drone pertanian, mengingat kecukupan dana Desa Musi Lor. Meskipun terdapat hambatan seperti biaya awal yang tinggi dan faktor lingkungan, seperti angin, drone pertanian menawarkan solusi jangka panjang dengan manfaat efisiensi dan akurasi.
