Abstract

According to World Bank data in 2010, the existence of latrines in Indonesia is around 22%. Nationally, for urban areas it is 79% and for rural areas 49%. Most of the waste disposal is still carried out into rivers or using dug wells that do not meet the requirements, thereby polluting groundwater. Health development is essentially an effort made by all components of the Indonesian nation which aims to increase awareness, ability and desire to live healthily for everyone in order to achieve the highest level of public health (Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health of 2009 Article 3). One of the health developments carried out is the development of adequate sanitation for the community. This research aims to determine the factors related to the use of family latrines in Pangkep Village. Based on data from the Community Health Center, Pangkep Village is the village with the lowest percentage of households with access to healthy toilets. Research methods; using quantitative analytics with cross sectional methods complemented by qualitative analytics. The population of all 433 family heads living in Pangkep Village using stratified random sampling obtained a sample of 228 family heads. Research results; shows that there is a significant relationship between family latrine use and knowledge (p value 0.019), attitude (p value 0.014), economic status (p value 0.000), latrine ownership (p value 0.000), availability of clean water (p value 0.029 ), role of health workers (p value 0.000), as well as support from community and religious leaders (p value 0.000). The variable of latrine ownership is the most dominant in family latrine use with a prevalence risk (5.879), which means that respondents who do not have a latrine have a 5.879 times greater chance of not using a family latrine. So it can be concluded that there is still low awareness of the community in Pangkep Village using family latrines. For this reason, it is recommended that health workers continue to provide guidance and education to the community and include community participation in implementing the program.

Abstract

Introduction: The global economy is affected by Indonesian migrant workers' destinations in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Poor housing and cleanliness make it hard for Indonesian workers, especially cleaning service workers, to stay healthy. Employees in the cleaning service business may not understand how to manage their health or navigate the healthcare system due to health literacy issues. Indonesian workers in Malaysia are assessed for workplace health literacy and empowerment. Addressing these issues and improving health literacy can enhance public health, eliminate health inequities, and empower people to make health decisions. Methods: The cross-sectional accidental sampling study involves 23 Indonesian workers from a prominent Malaysian university. All Indonesian workers were given a full explanation of the 15-question healthy living questionnaire. Results: 47.9% of migrant workers had sufficient knowledge, 39.1% had poor knowledge, and 13% had good knowledge. Conclusion: Poor personal hygiene affects Indonesian workers in Malaysia, focusing on workplace health knowledge and empowerment. It stresses health literacy, especially for the poor. To improve public health, reduce health inequities, and empower people to make health decisions, these concerns and health literacy initiatives are crucial.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media among teenagers has served as an easily accessible communication tool, creating new trends in society, namely cyberbullying. One's self-esteem is influenced by social relationships and how they feel valued. Many cases indicate that teenagers often experience low self-esteem, one of which is due to cyberbullying. This study aims to determine the relationship between cyberbullying and self-esteem in teenagers at Edu Global High School. The study employed a correlational design with a cross-sectional research approach. The population consisted of 61 active 10th-grade students at Edu Global High School, with 61 respondents as the research sample. The data collection technique used total sampling. Data collection employed two types of questionnaires, namely the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and the Cyberbullying and Online Aggression Survey Instrument. Data analysis utilized univariate analysis presented in the form of distribution and bivariate analysis using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that in the case of cyberbullying, the majority (87%) were perpetrators with a low category (53 respondents), while the majority (82%) were also victims with a low category (50 respondents). Regarding self-esteem, the majority (67%) had high self-esteem (41 respondents) and almost entirely (33%) were in the low category (20 respondents). The research results indicated a p-value of 0.011 < 0.05, which means there is a significant relationship between cyberbullying and self-esteem in a negative direction, indicating that the higher the level of cyberbullying experienced by teenagers, the lower their self-esteem. In conclusion, this study found a significant negative relationship between cyberbullying and the self-esteem of teenagers at Edu Global High School. The higher the level of experienced cyberbullying, the lower their self-esteem. This emphasizes the importance of the role of nurses and the school in enhancing student self-esteem and addressing cyberbullying issues. These findings provide important insights into the impact of social media on teenagers. Therefore, it is hoped that nurses and the school authorities can work to help improve student self-esteem.

Abstract

Antenatal care, often known as ANC, is the foundation of programs assisting reproductive health. It is particularly significant in the field of maternal and child health because it offers services to pregnant women from the time of conception until the delivery of the baby. These services are designed to ensure a safe pregnancy and delivery, hence preventing difficulties. The problem of pregnancy difficulties unquestionably has a bad influence on both the mother and her fetus. As a result, it is the reason for the high maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia. Some of the complications that contribute to this rate include bleeding, eclampsia, complications during abortion, sepsis, and extended partus. By providing routine prenatal care and examinations to medical professionals, it is possible to save the lives of pregnant women who experience problems. Distance is one of the numerous elements that can function as a barrier, and there are many others. During this digitalization era, technology makes it possible to disseminate information to pregnant women to enhance antenatal care. One example of this is using mobile phones in health services, referred to as m-Health. This is a promising option to improve the health outcomes of both mothers and children. This research was conducted to conduct a literature review to assess the advantages of mobile health in enhancing antenatal care. This literature study technique was selected from January 2019 to January 2024. The study approaches chosen are randomized trials, pseudo-experiments, and cluster randomization, designed to adhere to specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study utilizes the PRISMA protocol. A thorough electronic search across many databases yielded 683 articles, with 274 from PubMed and 409 from Google Scholar. After independently obtaining and rigorously filtering publications, 6 studies were included in the review. Final Thoughts Based on the findings of the six chosen publications, a critical analysis was carried out, and the conclusion reached was that MHealth is highly significant and beneficial in pregnancy care.
