Abstract

The early childhood group is a group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems. Mothers' low knowledge about nutrition, infectious diseases and poor snacking habits often cause nutritional problems in early childhood. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about nutrition, infectious diseases and snack habits with the nutritional status of early childhood children in Kindergarten in Garessi. This research method is an analytical survey with a cross sectional research design with a total sampling technique. This research was conducted on April 13 2023 using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. The research results showed that there was a relationship between maternal knowledge and the nutritional status of early childhood with ap value of 0.004, infectious diseases with the nutritional status of early childhood with ap value of 0.001 and snack habits with the nutritional status of early childhood with ap value of 0.004. The conclusion is that the majority of mothers' knowledge about nutrition is lacking, namely 70.7%, 61% of young children who experience infectious diseases, 56.1% of young children who have bad snack habits and 56.1% of young children who experience abnormal nutritional status namely 53.7%. The research team hopes that mothers will maintain nutritional status in early childhood and prevent children from snacking carelessly.

Abstract

Sputum is a material expelled from the lungs and trachea through the mouth. Sputum expelled by a person should be able to be evaluated for its source, color, volume and consistency because the condition of sputum usually specifically shows the pathological process of the formation of sputum itself. The purpose of this study is to eliminate breathing difficulties caused by accumulation of secretions so that the client does not become tired when cleaning secretions and is able to expel phlegm optimally. The research method used is One Group Pre-test Post-test, which is a research design that only uses one group of subjects (without a control class) and carries out measurements before and after giving treatment to the subjects. The results of the study showed that the phlegm discharge in patients before the effective coughing exercise was carried out with the category of 54 people (60%) coming out and 36 people (40%) not coming out. The conclusion is that A significance value of <0.05 (p=0.000) was obtained, meaning that Ha was accepted, meaning that effective coughing exercises can increase phlegm excretion in patients.

Abstract

Oxytocin massage is also a solution to overcome irregular breast milk production. This massage is performed along the spine to stimulate the hormones prolactin and oxytocin after giving birth. The purpose of this study was to determine the role, benefits and functions of the combination of breast care and oxytocin massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers and to facilitate breast milk production. The research method was quasi-experimental, with a posttest-only control design. Using consecutive sampling techniques. Interventions were given from the first day to the third day postpartum, then observations were carried out. Data normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test, data analysis using the independent t-test. The research results obtained a significance value with the average number of the combination group and the control group. The conclusion of this study is that the combination of breast care and oxytocin massage is effective in breast milk production in postpartum mothers. When massaging the spine, it can cause a neurogenic reflex that speeds up the work of the parasympathetic nerves to convey commands to the back of the brain. As a result of the stimulatory signal, the potential action process of oxytocin is released into the systemic blood from the posterior pituitary. In the bloodstream, oxytocin is delivered to the myoepithelial cells of the alveoli and uterus so that oxytocin will stimulate these cells which cause the alveolar sacs to be compressed and the ducts to shorten and widen.

Abstract

Globally, pneumonia is one of the diseases that causes morbidity and mortality in low-income countries. Pneumonia is a major cause of death in toddlers and young children. Bacteria, viruses, and fungi are pathogenic agents and play a role in causing pneumonia. The etiology of pneumonia varies based on epidemiological circumstances, comorbidities and whether the pneumonia is community-acquired or hospital-acquired. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between the physical environment of the home and the incidence of pneumonia in toddlers in villages. This type of research is analytical quantitative research with a cross-sectional study approach with a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. Data collection techniques use observation sheets. The data analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test. The results of this study can be concluded that there is a relationship between housing density and the incidence of pneumonia in toddlers. It is expected that the Health Center will always monitor the development of pneumonia cases in toddlers that occur in the Work Area of the Health Center which are caused by the physical environment of the house that does not meet the requirements.

Abstract

The decrease in lung functional capacity will be followed by a decrease in the value of maximal inspiratory pressure and maximal expiratory pressure, both of these values indicate a significant decrease in respiratory muscle strength after the Coronary Artery Bypass Graft procedure, which can increase mortality rates and length of hospital stay. The purpose of this study was to repair blocked and narrowed arteries by cutting and replacing the blocked arteries from healthy vessels. The research method used the Patient method: Post ACBG; intervention: active cycle of breathing technique; comparison: other physiotherapy interventions; outcome: functional lung capacity. The results showed that active cycle of breathing technique and routine chest physiotherapy interventions had the same effect on reducing pain, this was evidenced by a p-value of 0.001 which means that active cycle of breathing technique and routine chest physiotherapy showed a significant effect on reducing pain in post coronary artery bypass graft patients. The conclusion of this study is that Active Cycle of Breathing Technique exercises have been proven to improve the functional lung capacity of post coronary artery bypass graft patients.
