Abstract

Many students can read English texts with the right pronunciation but do not comprehend the meaning of the text. Thus, their competence to reason in translating the text is still lacking. One of the competencies that must be learned in the English subject curriculum is reading. This study aims to analyze the use of the PORPE strategy in teaching reading recount text for the tenth-grade students of SMA Mardisiswa Semarang in the academic year 2023/2024. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative research. The data of this study were collected by using observation and interview to the process of PORPE strategy in teaching reading recount text and students’ self predicted essay questions and answers as supported data/questionnaires. The results of observations, interviews and questionnaires prove that the PORPE strategy has been used in teaching reading recount texts for tenth grade students at Mardisiswa High School. The implementation of the PORPE strategy in teaching recount texts has been effectively structured through five stages. Implementing the PORPE strategy for teaching recount texts faces several barriers. Students struggle to extract main details from text titles due to a lack of effective prediction strategies, hindering their ability to formulate specific and relevant questions.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food for most Indonesians and is also one of the main export agricultural commodities. Based on Indonesia's GDP report, the contribution of the agricultural sector to national income (GDP) has declined over the years, from 24.8% in 1980, 19.4% in 1990, to 14.4% in 2012. In addition, agricultural businesses in the villages are still lacking in terms of capital strengthening because there are not many formal institutions that provide loans to farmers. Paguyuban Petani Penyangga Ketahanan Pangan Indonesia (P3KPI) has a goal stated in its Articles of Association to realize Indonesia's food security. The purpose of this research is to examine the practice of mudharabah muqayyadah in rice farming financing. The research method is a qualitative approach. In this study, 2 resource persons from the Indonesian Islamic Boarding School Foundation and 8 respondents who cultivate agricultural land owned by YPI, namely P3KPI members, were taken. After the data collection process is complete, the collected data will be analyzed systematically. The results show that the practice of mudharabah financing at P3KPI Al-Zaytun involves signing an MoU, where farmers work on nursery activities, land cultivation, planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting, then farmers apply for financing in writing to the Foundation. The foundation checks the results of the work and the supervisor signs the submission, then the funds come down from finance. It is concluded that P3KPI Al-Zaytun has carried out a mudharabah muqayyadah contract on rice crop agricultural financing in accordance with the established regulations and P3KPI Al-Zaytun has carried out alternative solutions to obstacles and defaults properly.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is abnormally high blood pressure and is often called the silent killer. In general, a person is considered to have hypertension if their blood pressure is higher than 140/90 mmHg. Efforts to control hypertension require patient knowledge and attitude. Objective: This study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of patients with efforts to control hypertension in the internal medicine polyclinic of the Hospital. Methods: This study used an analytic survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 569 and the sample size was 64 respondents. Data obtained from respondents in this study using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Results: Analysis of the relationship between patient knowledge and hypertension control efforts using the Chi Square test obtained a p-value = 0.001, which is p < 0.05 and analyzing the relationship between patient attitudes and hypertension control efforts using the Chi Square test obtained a p-value = 0.000, which is p < 0.05. Conclusion: There is a relationship between patient knowledge and attitude with hypertension control efforts. It is recommended for further research to conduct research on other factors that influence hypertension control efforts.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of competence and performance allowances on employee performance, with motivation as an intervening variable, in the OPD of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The results are expected to provide recommendations for HR development policies to improve the quality of public services. These findings are important to support the efficiency and effectiveness of local government administration in serving the community. This quantitative study examines the effect of competence and performance allowances on employee performance, with motivation as an intervening variable, in the OPD of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Using a correlational survey model, the sample was taken using the Slovin Formula (305 respondents from 1,282 population, 5% error). Data analysis was conducted using the PLS method on SmartPLS 4, testing the causal relationship between variables to improve the quality of public services. This study tested seven hypotheses regarding the effect of competence and performance allowances on employee performance, with motivation as a mediating variable, in the OPD of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The results of the analysis show that competence and performance allowances have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both directly and through motivation. This finding supports policies to improve human resources and employee welfare. This study concludes that competencies and performance allowances have a positive and significant effect on employee performance in the OPD of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency, both directly and through motivation. Competencies and performance allowances increase motivation, which in turn has a positive impact on employee performance, supporting the improvement of the quality of public services.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the policy of providing medical scholarships in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency with a focus on policy objectives, with the research results showing that a thorough evaluation of success indicators is needed to ensure that the objectives of this policy are achieved effectively, in addition to human and financial resources as well. plays an important role where budget limitations and human resource capacity have an impact on program sustainability. The success of policy implementation is greatly influenced by the characteristics of the implementing organization which has good structure and coordination, as well as the attitude of implementers who support the policy. However, the lack of effective communication between organizations and the impact of social, economic and political conditions are significant obstacles in implementing this policy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis perencanaan manajemen pendidik dan tenaga pendidik dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. 2) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengorganisasian manajemen pendidik dan tenaga pendidik dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. 3) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pelaksanaan manajemen pendidik dan tenaga pendidik dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. 4) Untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis evaluasi manajemen pendidik dan tenaga pendidik dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMK Muhammadiyah Talun Kabupaten Pekalongan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Analisis data dengan tiga langkah: reduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) perencanaan dengan melakukan identifikasi kebutuhan sekolah, jumlah guru yang di perlukan, kriteria guru yang di perlukan dan posisi guru yang di perlukan. 2) Pengorganisasian dengan melakukan rekrutmen, seleksi, orientasi, penempatan dan pelatihan pengembangan karir. 3) Pelaksanaan dengan mengarahkan guru untuk melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan dalam pembelajaran dan memberikan motivasi yang disampaikan dalam proses pembelajaran dan pembinaan upacara bendera serta disampaikan secara personal. 4) Evaluasi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah meliputi kedisiplinan, kesetiaan, prestasi kerja, tanggung jawab, ketaatan, kejujuran, kerja sama, dan kemampuan dan dilakukan pula penilaian yang berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to examine more deeply the implementation of e-government in the Blessing of Dayanan Public Service Mall of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency and to understand the extent to which this innovation has improved the quality of public services and what are the challenges faced in the implementation process. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation on government employees, stakeholders and service user communities. The results of this study show that e-government policy has been established to improve the quality of public services, but its implementation has not been optimal. In terms of effectiveness, digital services are still constrained by technical disruptions and the low digital literacy of the community. The efficiency expected through service digitization has also not been achieved due to limited technological infrastructure and inadequate internet connectivity. Service transparency shows potential for improvement although public trust in digital systems is still low. The main obstacles include suboptimal availability of human resources, resistance to technological change within the organization as well as limited technological infrastructure and budget. In addition, the community's digital literacy gap is a significant obstacle in utilizing technology-based services.The findings contribute to the development of more adaptive policies to support the success of e-government in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of the LAPOR! (People's Online Aspiration and Complaint Service) platform as a tool to improve the quality of public services in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. LAPOR! is designed to facilitate the public in submitting aspirations and complaints through digital channels. Although it has been implemented since 2018, the number of complaints submitted in the district is still very low compared to the national average, indicating challenges in its adoption and utilization. The research used a case study approach to explore the level of community participation, the admin's ability to manage reports, and the platform's role in supporting government transparency and responsiveness. The results show that low digital literacy and limited infrastructure are major barriers. However, when optimized, LAPOR! has the potential to be an effective tool to improve government-community relations, accelerate complaint handling, and promote public service accountability. This research recommends strengthening digital literacy, training admins, and improving access to technology to maximize the function of LAPOR! in South Bolaang Mongondow District.

Abstract

This study aims 1) to know and analyze the implementation of human resource management in an effort to improve school quality at SMP Negeri 5 Semarang City. 2) to know and analyze the evaluation of the implementation of human resource management in an effort to improve school quality at SMP Negeri 5 Semarang City. The research approach used is qualitative. This type of research is a case study. This research uses triangulation of sources and methods. Data were analyzed using three steps: data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of human resource management in an effort to improve school quality at SMP Negeri 5 Semarang showed that 1) the principal by identifying the needs of the school program involved mobilizing all citizens. The principal determines school resources by paying attention and considering the ability and competence of teachers. then the principal conducts organizational development by providing training to teachers, conducting comparative studies to schools that are considered better. Principals give assignments to teachers and delegation always pay attention to the level of ability and expertise of teachers. 2) Evaluation is carried out by conducting monthly meetings then the results of the evaluation of activities are used as a basis for determining follow-up and solutions to be carried out.

Abstract

This research examines the interpretation of Al-Baqarah verse 30 which explains the role of humans as caliphs on earth, both from the perspective of classical and modern interpretations. The method used is a literature study by analyzing the interpretations of major sources such as Ibn Katsir and Sayyid Qutb. The results show that although humans have the potential to do damage, they are also given the ability to do greater good. Classical commentaries emphasize that humans are appointed as caliphs to carry out God's will, while modern commentaries highlight the moral and social responsibilities of humans in maintaining harmony with nature and others.
