Abstract

The development of information technology provides a great opportunity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to market their products digitally, including in the agricultural sector. However, there are still many agricultural MSME actors who have not utilized this technology optimally. This research aims to build a webbased information system called TaniMarket, which can be used as a means of marketing agricultural products by MSME actors. Application development is carried out using the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application is built using PHP programming language version 8.1, the CodeIgniter 4 framework, and the MySQL database. This system consists of two main roles, namely admin and user. Admins have full access to product and category management features, including adding, modifying, and deleting data, as well as uploading images and order information. Meanwhile, users can view a list of products by category and place orders directly through the WhatsApp button that has been provided with automatic messages. The results of the system test show that all features run according to the design that has been determined. The TaniMarket application is considered to be able to provide convenience for MSME actors in marketing their garden products more widely and efficiently. With a simple and responsive interface, this system also supports users in accessing product information quickly and practically. Overall, this application is an effective digital solution in supporting the increase in the competitiveness of agricultural MSMEs in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health challenge globally, particularly affecting children's growth and development. This study investigates the strategies used by healthcare workers at Brayan health center to search for and promote health information related to stunting, as well as the obstacles they encounter in these efforts. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed qualitatively. Results show that healthcare workers primarily use exploration strategies by searching for information through Google and collect relevant data for dissemination. The main promotion strategy involves social support through multi-sectoral meetings to enhance collaboration. However, several challenges hinder these efforts, including restricted access to scientific articles behind paywalls, a shortage of dedicated health promotion staff, and limited feedback from local stakeholders, especially village leaders. These barriers affect the efficiency and reach of stunting-related health promotion activities. The study concludes that addressing these constraints by improving information access, increasing human resources, and fostering stronger stakeholder engagement is essential to optimize stunting prevention programs at Brayan health center .

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of crisis communication conducted by the government in responding to disasters during the post-truth era, where facts are often overshadowed by opinions and emotions in the dissemination of public information. The aim of this research is to analyze the government’s crisis communication strategies, the challenges in building public trust, and the impact of disinformation on the effectiveness of disaster response. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, focusing on a specific natural disaster that reflects the complexity of communication in the digital age. Data were collected through documentation, in-depth interviews, and content analysis of social media and mass media. The findings indicate that effective and responsive crisis communication is crucial for governments handling disasters in the post-truth era, where opinions and emotions frequently override facts, and misinformation spreads rapidly through social media. In such situations, governments need to deliver information quickly, accurately, and empathetically, while upholding values of honesty and transparency to build public trust. Communication strategies must be adaptive and collaborative, involving various stakeholders such as the media, community leaders, and the use of digital technology. A humanistic approach based on empathy and public education is also key to controlling public narratives and mitigating the overall impact of misinformation in disaster management.

Abstract

The Grid Zero trend on Instagram has become an intriguing phenomenon among Gen Z, including in Pekanbaru, Riau. This generation, born between 1997–2012, grew up alongside the rapid rise of social media, making Instagram their primary platform for self-expression. Grid Zero initially referred to a minimalist aesthetic concept with a neat and consistent feed, but it has now evolved to encompass how Gen Z manages their digital presence. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, involving several Gen Z individuals in Pekanbaru through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, with data validation carried out via triangulation and prolonged engagement. The findings reveal that Gen Z in Pekanbaru chooses Grid Zero primarily to protect their privacy, ensuring their personal lives are not easily accessible to the public, especially considering the strong local social norms. The pressure of Instagram’s aesthetic standards also makes them more comfortable not posting at all rather than worrying about being judged. The fear of being compared within closely connected social circles further influences this choice, as does their rejection of an image-centric culture that demands perfection. They prefer more temporary platforms like Stories or TikTok to express themselves without leaving a permanent trace. For some, an empty feed is even perceived as cool, mysterious, and exclusive. These findings highlight that Grid Zero is not merely an aesthetic trend, but a strategy employed by Pekanbaru’s Gen Z to cope with social pressure, protect their mental health, and maintain a more authentic self-image in the digital era.
