Abstract

This article explores Peusijuek, a traditional Acehnese ritual deeply rooted in the regions cultural and Islamic values. As a symbol of blessing, peace, and harmony, Peusijuek is practiced during various life milestones, including weddings, pilgrimages, new beginnings, and personal achievements. Using a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach and supported by historical research, this study examines the symbolic meanings and cultural significance of Peusijuek, as well as the challenges it faces in the modern era. The findings show that Peusijuek reflects a harmonious integration of Islamic teachings and local traditions, making it an essential part of Acehnese identity. However, globalization and individualism have weakened the traditions transmission to younger generations. The study highlights the vital roles of traditional leaders, the Majelis Adat Aceh (MAA), educational institutions, and digital media in preserving and revitalizing this cultural heritage. Ultimately, Peusijuek serves not only as a ceremonial practice but also as a medium for cultural continuity, spiritual reflection, and social unity in Acehnese society.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the role of group counseling using CBT in reducing anxiety about speaking in front of the class among students of SMP Negeri 3 Luwuk. This research design is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. A total of 62 students from grade VIII-B and VIII-C of SMP Negeri 3 Luwuk were the population. A sample of 16 students was selected using purposive sampling. Based on the research results on these 16 students, they were divided into two groups. The experimental group consisted of 8 students and the control group also consisted of 8 students. An Independent Test was conducted using SPSS 27 software to analyze the data. Based on the results of data analysis, there are 8 students in the experimental group and 8 students in the control group who experience a fairly high level of speaking anxiety. Then, the experimental group conducted group counseling for the 8 students and took post-tests for both the experimental and control groups. The research results showed that the average difference in anxiety for the experimental group was 88.5 in the high category and decreased to 72 in the low category.

Abstract

The training and counseling program for optimizing human resource management in the Luwuk city community organization, banggai, aims to overcome challenges in human resource management which often hinder organizational effectiveness. This program is designed to improve managerial skills, provide psychosocial support, and strengthen networks between communities. The methodology applied includes training workshops, counseling sessions, mentoring programs, and discussion forums. Training covers aspects of effective communication, leadership, conflict management, and strategic planning, while counseling sessions focus on personal and professional development. Mentoring and coaching programs are implemented to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experience. The discussion forum aims to share knowledge and best practices between community members. The expected impact of this program is increasing human resource management capacity, member welfare, forming a stronger network, and developing future leadership. The program presents a holistic approach that prioritizes not only skills development but also emotional and psychosocial support, which is essential for the sustainability and growth of the community in Luwuk. In conclusion, this program aims to create a significant positive impact on community organizations in Luwuk, through improving the managerial skills and welfare of community members.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat ditingkatkan melalui proses pembelajaran, termasuk dalam pendidikan sejarah. Akan tetapi, di SMA Negeri 1 Baros, pembelajaran sejarah belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar sejarah lokal Banten berbasis digital terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan melibatkan kelas eksperimen (XI 4) dan kelas kontrol (XI 1). Analisis menggunakan uji-t Two Sample Assuming Equal Variances menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan (thitung = -8,28 ttabel = 1,99) sehingga H ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi bahan ajar sejarah lokal Banten berbasis digital memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

The economic progress of a region in Indonesia is often caused by an institution, be it an educational institution or other institutions. The openness of an institution to the surrounding community greatly influences the community's economy. The study entitled "The Influence of the Darussalam Al-Waliyyah Islamic Boarding School on the Economy of the Blang Poroh Village Community, West Labuhan Haji District, South Aceh (1980-2020)" is to find out the conditions of the Blang Poroh Village community before the Darussalam Al-Waliyyah Islamic boarding school existed, and to find out what factors influenced the Blang Poroh Village community to switch livelihoods and to find out how the Darussalam Al-Waliyyah Islamic Boarding School influenced the economy of the Blang Poroh Village community, West Labuhan Haji District, South Aceh. This study uses a historical method with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques are carried out with the stages of field observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of this study describe that economic changes in the Blang Poroh Village community are caused by the openness of the Darussalam Al-Waliyyah Islamic boarding school to the community. Before the existence of the Islamic boarding school, the economy of the people of Blang Poroh Village still depended on the agricultural and marine sectors. Significant changes in the economy of the people of Blang Poroh Village occurred in 1980 which was in line with the development of the Islamic boarding school. The economic development of the people of Blang Poroh Village occurred in the trade sector so that many people changed their livelihoods and chose to trade. The economic progress that occurred in Blang Poroh Village can be seen from the number of shophouses in Blang Poroh Village reaching 50 shophouses and the number of entrepreneurs in Blang Poroh Village. From the results of this study, the existence of the Darussalam Al-Walliyah Islamic boarding school is very influential in advancing the economy of the people of Blang Poroh Village.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the history of Prince Kuning's struggle against the Dutch colonialists during the Tebidah War in 1856-1857. The method used is a historical research method consisting of topic selection, heuristics, verification, interpretation, historical writing. The research approach used by researchers is sociology, because it involves the royal family, social layers of society such as the Dayak and Malay tribes. Research results: Ade Hasan, whose title is Pangeran Kuning Suryapati or better known to the public as Prince Kuning, was a figure opposing Dutch colonialism in the 19th century. The spirit and courage of the Yellow Prince were embedded and burning. Together with the Dayak and Malay tribes in Nanga Kayan, Prince Kuning opposed Dutch colonialism which was marked by the Tebidah War which occurred in 1856-1857. The role and values that Prince Kuning instilled in fighting Dutch colonialism were deeply embedded in the Sintang people. Prince Kuning had shaken the position of the Dutch government which at that time ruled the land of the Sintang Kingdom. So with their nationalist attitude, the people of Sintang honored Prince Kuning with the erection of the Prince Kuning Statue Monument in the city of Sintang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena masih banyak guru yang belum memaksimalkan media dalam proses pembelajaran. Media Tutup Botol Pintar ini merupakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti dari media aslinya ke dalam bentuk yang lebih menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan media pembelajaran, kelayakan media pembelajaran tutup botol pintar dan respon siswa di SMAN 13 Banda Aceh tentang pembelajaran tutup botol pintar pada mata pelajaran sejarah, jenis penelitian yang digunakan Research and Development (RD) yang dikembangkan 5 langkah model ADDIE. Adapun populasi yaitu seluruh kelas XI yang terdiri dari 2 kelas XI IPS, XI IPA, sedangkan sampelnya yaitu kelas XI IPS IPS. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan lima langkah model ADDIE, yaitu: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, 5) Evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan validasi yang telah dilakukan kepada para ahli, hasil validasi materi memperoleh hasil sebesar 94% dengan kategori Sangat Baik, dan untuk validasi media memperoleh sebesar 90,29% dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Berdasarkan validasi materi dan media yang telah dilakukan media yang dikembangkan telah layak diimplementasikan. Adapun untuk hasil respon siswa didapatkan persentase sebesar 80% dengan kategori layak. Dengan demikian produk media pembelajaran tutup botol pintar pada pelajaran sejarah SMAN 13 Banda Aceh dengan materi Perkembangan Kerajaan Hindu-Buddha di Indonesia yang dibuat oleh peneliti layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Sejarah

Abstract

This study examines students' perceptions and experiences in using ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence-based application, in learning English writing. Using mixed methods, data was obtained through questionnaires involving 40 students and interviews involving 3 students from the English Education program in 1st semester at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur (UMKT). The findings indicated that while ChatGPT is perceived as accessible and easy to use, a significant number of students expressed neutrality or concerns regarding its efficacy in supporting English writing development. However, many students were uncertain about its contribution to improve their writing skills, with some expressing doubt about the accuracy of its suggestions and concerns about over-reliance on the tool. This study concluded that despite its potential, ChatGPT's effectiveness in enhancing English writing remained debatable due to these reservations.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum and the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia's education system. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various academic sources related to curriculum policies, learning approaches, and their impact on the teaching and learning process. The results show that the 2013 Curriculum emphasizes a scientific approach and authentic assessment, while the Independent Curriculum focuses on flexibility in student-centered learning. Although the 2013 Curriculum has been widely implemented, challenges remain, such as teacher readiness and limited facilities. On the other hand, the Independent Curriculum provides greater freedom for teachers and students in determining learning methods and materials, but it still faces obstacles in resource readiness and equitable infrastructure. In conclusion, the comparison between the two curricula indicates a shift from a structured approach to a more flexible system, highlighting the need for continuous policy support to enhance the effectiveness of curriculum implementation in Indonesia.

Abstract

Berbicara soal politik yang identik dengan kekuasaan, tentu banyak sekali kekisruhan, dan perpecahan yang terjadi saat pemilihan pemimpin politik atau yang sering disebut pemilihan umum (pemilu), baik dalam ruang lingkup regional maupun nasional. KPU dalam mengedukasi masyarakat agar menghindari politik kotor, serta menjadi tuntunan masyarakat pada pemilu serentak 2024 membuat film yang berjudul Kejarlah Janji. Dimana pada film ini terdapat tokoh Janji Upaya yang berperan sebagai tokoh politik yang mempunyi banyak kendala saat mengkomunikasikan pesan politik kepada warga desa Bangun Mapan dan berhasil banyak menghadapi black campaign (kampanye politik hitam). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi politik yang dilakukan tokoh Janji Upaya dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Pada penelitian ini, tokoh Janji Upaya berhasil mengkomunikasikan pesan politik dengan baik kepada warga desa Bangun Mapan dan berhasil menciptakan politik demokratis walaupun dalam perjalanannya, harus banyak menghadapi black campaign (kampanye politik hitam), atau beberapa atribut manipulasi komunikasi yang berat, yang kirimkan kubu lawan. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menonton film Kejarlah Janji setelah atau sebelum membaca penelitian ini, agar dapat memperoleh sudut pandang baru.
