Abstract

This study investigates how integrating Literature Circles with the Teaching and Learning Cycle enhances junior secondary English as a Foreign Language students engagement, comprehension, and motivation in extensive reading of narrative texts. Using a qualitative classroom action research design with phenomenological orientation, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, reflective journals, and classroom observations. The intervention followed four Teaching and Learning Cycle stagesBuilding Knowledge of the Field, Modelling of the Text, Joint Construction of the Text, and Independent Construction of the Textcombined with rotating Literature Circle roles to scaffold comprehension and collaboration. Findings reveal that students progressed from supported participation to independent analysis, showing gains in vocabulary noticing, inferential reasoning, and critical response. Students also reported heightened intrinsic motivation, confidence, and ownership of learning, facilitated by structured peer interaction and equitable participation. Challenges such as time constraints, text difficulty, and performance anxiety emerged but also suggested avenues for refinement in instructional design. This study contributes conceptually by bridging constructivist, sociocultural, and genre-based perspectives, pedagogically by operationalizing scaffolding through structured roles, and contextually by adding evidence from Indonesian junior secondary classrooms. These findings highlight the potential of Literature Circles integrated with the Teaching and Learning Cycle as a sustainable model for student-cantered reading instruction and provide directions for future research on scalability, digital mediation, and application across genres

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah Pertama; Untuk menganalisis strategi kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis-spiritualis dalam peningkatan lembaga Pendidikan Islam di SMP Islam Terpadu Insan Mulia Manokwari. Kedua; Untuk menganalisis peran keteladanan kepala sekolah dalam membangun budaya kerja yang demokratis-spiritualis di lingkungan SMP Islam Terpadu Insan Mulia Manokwari Ketiga; Untuk menganalisis Dampak kepemimpinan demokratis-spiritualis Kepala Sekolah dalam peningkatan lembaga Pendidikan islam di SMP Islam Terpadu Insan Mulia Manokwari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, jenisnya field research. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara: Pertama; Observasi semi partisipan, Kedua; Wawancara semi terstruktur, dan Ketiga; Dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model intraktif Miles Huberman dan Saldana dengan langkah-langkah: Pertama; Pengumpulan data, Kedua; Kondensasi data, Ketiga; Penyajian data dan, Keempat; Penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi dan member chek. Triangulasi yang digunakan ada dua yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode. Hasil Penelitian: Pertama; Kepala sekolah SMP Islam Terpadu Insan Mulia menerapkan kepemimpinan demokratis dengan melibatkan guru dan staf dalam setiap keputusan melalui musyawarah dan rapat terbuka. Kebijakan disampaikan secara transparan kepada seluruh pihak, menciptakan komunikasi yang terbuka dan partisipatif. Kedua; Peran keteladanan pada nilai-nilai spiritual seperti kejujuran, amanah, dan ketakwaan, yang diwujudkan melalui keteladanan ibadah, disiplin, dan akhlak. Kepala sekolah juga aktif dalam mentoring ruhani dan pembinaan keagamaan untuk guru dan siswa. Ketiga; Dampak Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memberikan dampak positif dengan mendorong musyawarah, aktif, dan kepercayaan yang memotivasi guru dan bertanggung jawab. Nilai-nilai spiritual seperti kejujuran dan kasih sayang memperkuat budaya kerja yang disiplin. Keteladanan serta pembinaan melalui kegiatan keagamaan rutin menanamkan akhlakul karimah pada siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in the Merdeka Curriculum as a means of strengthening student character at Uswatun Hasanah Elementary School in Lubuklinggau. The focus of the study is on the extent to which differentiation strategies can foster values of responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and curiosity in students. The research uses a quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and student character assessment questionnaires filled out after the learning process. The research subjects involved teachers and 52 fourth and fifth grade students. The questionnaire analysis results showed that 82% of students were in the excellent category in the responsibility indicator, 79% in the cooperation indicator, 75% in the discipline indicator, and 81% in the curiosity indicator. These findings were reinforced by observation results showing an increase in student active participation in group discussions and perseverance in completing project-based assignments. Interviews with teachers also confirmed that differentiation of content, process, and product helped students learn according to their individual needs and learning styles. In conclusion, the implementation of differentiated IPAS learning in the Merdeka Curriculum has proven to be effective in strengthening the character of elementary school students, with questionnaire data showing positive improvements in almost all aspects of character. This study recommends that teachers continue to develop differentiation strategies as an integral part of character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ilmiah ini adalah, sebagai berikut: 1) Untuk menganalisis bentuk-bentuk moderasi beragama yang ada pada Kampung Patimburak di Fakfak; 2) Untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi moderasi beragama pada kampung Patimburak di Fakfak; dan 3) Untuk menganalisis penerapan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama yang tercermin pada masjid tua Patimburak di Fakfak Papua Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualiatif dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah penelitian deskriptif. Lokasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Kampung Patimburak Distrik Kokas Kabupaten Fakfak, Provinsi Papua Barat. Jumlah subjek yang diteliti sebanyak sebanyak 21 orang. Hasil penelitian ilmiah ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Bentuk-bentuk moderasi beragama yang ada pada Kampung Patimburak di Fakfak Papua Barat yaitu dengan menggunakan indikator Moderasi beragama Kementrian Agama RI adalah Komitmen Kebangsaan; b) Toleransi; c) Anti Kekerasan; dan d) Adaptif Terhadap budaya Lokal. Cerminan moderasi beragama ini dapat dilihat secara langsung dalam bentuk arsitektur masjid tua Patimburak yang menggabungkan arsitektur gereja dan masjid dalam bentuk bangunannya. 2) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi moderasi beragama pada kampung Patimburak di Fakfak papua Barat antara lain a) menjaga warisan leluhur; b) masih hubungan keluarga; c) sikap gotong royong; d) penguatan kegiatan kerja sama. 3) Penerapan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama yang tercermin pada masjid tua Patimburak di Fakfak Papua Barat: a) nilai gotong royong; b) nilai silturahmi; c) nilai adaptif terhadap budaya lokal; d) nilai anti kekerasan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: pertama, mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan bahan ajar Ilmu Falak Ruhani berbasis Android pada materi perhitungan waktu terbaik doa hari Jumat di Madrasah Al-Hikam Jakarta Selatan; kedua, menilai tingkat kevalidan dan kepraktisan bahan ajar berbasis Android yang dikembangkan; dan ketiga, menguji efektivitas penggunaannya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep serta praktik perhitungan waktu mustajab doa dalam Ilmu Falak Ruhani. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (RD) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup lima tahap, yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar memperoleh persentase kelayakan tinggi dari ahli materi (92%), ahli bahasa (96%), dan ahli desain (96%), sehingga dikategorikan sangat valid. Uji kepraktisan juga menunjukkan rata-rata respon 92,46% dari guru, individu, kelompok kecil, maupun uji lapangan, sehingga dikategorikan sangat praktis. Selain itu, bahan ajar ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap perhitungan hisab abjadiyyah dan penentuan waktu terbaik doa, yang sebelumnya sulit dipahami melalui cara manual. Integrasi ilmu keislaman dengan teknologi digital dalam penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pembelajaran yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan menarik. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan dasar dalam pengembangan kurikulum Ilmu Falak Ruhani berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Household consumption is one of the main drivers of economic growth, but the differences in consumption patterns between regions have not been studied in depth. This study aims to analyze the contribution of interprovincial consumption patterns to economic growth by sampling five representative provinces, namely Aceh, Jakarta, West Java, Bali, and West Papua, which were selected based on the diversity of economic structure and consumption characteristics. The study used a quantitative approach with annual data for the period 20152024 and was analyzed through panel regression to see the relationship between household consumption and economic growth. The results showed that household consumption had a positive and significant effect on economic growth across the sample provinces, with variations in the level of influence reflecting the economic conditions of each region. Provinces with urban consumption bases such as Jakarta and West Java contribute more than areas with low consumption capacity such as West Papua. This study concludes that consumption patterns between regions not only reflect differences in people's purchasing power, but also become an important factor in the direction of national economic development, so that it can be the basis for more inclusive and equitable policy formulation.

Abstract

Fenomena pernikahan dini masih menjadi persoalan serius di berbagai wilayah Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Medan. Salah satu faktor strategis yang dapat mencegah pernikahan dini adalah pendidikan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan keluarga dalam mencegah pernikahan dini di lingkungan V Kelurahan Padang Bulan Kecamatan Medan Baru Kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi keluarga yang memiliki anak usia remaja, tokoh masyarakat, dan kepala lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pernikahan dini berdampak negatif pada aspek pendidikan, kesehatan, dan kondisi psikologis remaja, serta berpotensi menimbulkan masalah sosial baru seperti perceraian dan kemiskinan. Pendidikan keluarga berperan penting dalam mencegah pernikahan dini melalui komunikasi yang intensif antara orang tua dan anak, pembinaan nilai keagamaan, serta pengawasan sosial di lingkungan rumah. Namun, pelaksanaan pendidikan keluarga masih menghadapi kendala seperti rendahnya tingkat pendidikan orang tua, tekanan ekonomi, serta kurangnya sinergi antara keluarga dan institusi sosial. Penelitian ini menawarkan model pendidikan keluarga berbasis nilai agama dan kearifan lokal yang adaptif terhadap konteks masyarakat urban. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi keluarga, lembaga pendidikan, dan pemerintah daerah dalam merumuskan strategi intervensi yang efektif untuk mnekan angka pernikahan ini.

Abstract

The development of the circular economy requires accounting practices that are able to comprehensively record, measure, and report social and environmental impacts, especially in social enterprises that are oriented towards social missions in addition to economic goals. This research aims to explore sustainability accounting practices in social enterprises, focusing on how sustainability recording and reporting is carried out and the extent to which circular economy concepts influence the process. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving three social enterprises engaged in waste management and community empowerment in the Bandung area. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with 12 key informants, direct observation of operational activities, and analysis of internal documents, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results show that sustainability accounting practices are still in their early stages, characterized by informal recording of social and environmental contributions, despite a high awareness of the importance of transparency. The implementation of the circular economy encourages companies to integrate sustainability indicators into their reporting systems, although limited resources and technical capacity are major challenges. In conclusion, this study makes a theoretical contribution by expanding the understanding of sustainability accounting practices in the context of social enterprises, as well as practical contributions in the form of recommendations for strengthening accounting systems that are adaptive to circular economy principles to support long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Abstrak:This study investigates the influence of reward and punishment policies on employee performance at PT. Rezeki Perkasa Sejahtera Lestari, specifically examining the mediating role of perceived justice. Ineffective leadership, often stemming from poorly managed reward and punishment systems, significantly impacts employee performance. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 35 employees via questionnaires distributed through Google Forms. Path analysis using SmartPLS 8.0 was utilized for data analysis. The findings reveal that while reward and punishment directly show a weak and non-significant impact on employee performance, perceived justice positively and significantly influences performance (H3 accepted). Reward also shows a weak but positive influence on perceived justice (H4 rejected at =0.05, but with a weak significance tendency at =0.10), suggesting an indirect effect on performance through perceived fairness. Conversely, punishment's impact on both performance (H2 rejected) and perceived justice (H5 rejected) was found to be insignificant, indicating potential inefficiencies in its application. This research highlights the critical importance of fairness in human resource management and recommends that companies prioritize the perceived justice of their reward and punishment systems to enhance employee performance effectively. Future research should verify this model in similar companies and explore the specific mediation mechanisms of perceived justice.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance (WLB) on academic achievement in the University of Terbuka who work part-time. Work-Life Balance or the balance between life on work is an important global issue, especially among students who have a two activity, namely study and work part-time. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and linear regression, processed using SPSS version 27 for windows. The results of the validity and reliability tests indicate that all research instruments are valid and reliable. Work-Life Balance shows a significance value of 0.001 with an Unstandardized Beta value of 0.164, which indicates a positive influence on the students' academic achievement. These results support the research hypothesis that students' work-life balance plays a significant role in determining their academic achievement. The implications of this study highlight the importance of WLB for part-time students in achieving optimal academic achievement and provide recommendations for students, educational institutions, and organizations to support work-life balance.
