Abstract

The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) media in education has emerged as a promising approach to enhance engagement and motivation among elementary students in the 5.0 Era. This study investigates the dual impacts of AR on student motivation and interest in learning. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, the research was conducted in a cyclical process of planning, action, observation, and reflection over four weeks at SDN XX Palembang, targeting sixth-grade students. A stratified random sampling method was used to select the participants. Data were collected through weekly surveys to quantitatively measure motivation and interest levels, and through direct observations and interviews to provide qualitative insights. The findings reveal a significant and consistent increase in both motivation and interest scores, with motivation rising from an average of 35.2 to 71.2 and interest from 33.7 to 72.3. Qualitative data corroborated these results, showing a transformation in student behavior from initial curiosity to collaborative problem-solving and independent learning. The study concludes that AR is a transformative and sustainable pedagogical tool that effectively fosters a dynamic and student-centered learning environment. This research provides a valuable model for educators seeking to integrate technology to enhance learning experiences

Abstract

Abstract

The Paluh Getah Mangrove Beach in Tanjung Rejo Village is a highly potential mangrove ecotourism site for carbon sequestration. This study aimed to assess the biomass content, carbon sequestration level, and comparative CO absorption in four mangrove leaf species (Avicennia marina, Excoecaria agallocha, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, and Ceriops tagal), as well as to analyze the effect of leaf thickness, width, and length on carbon uptake levels in Tanjung Rejo Village. Sampling was conducted at three stations determined using purposive sampling, each with three replications. Mangrove leaves were analyzed in the laboratory using the Walkley and Black method to determine carbon content. The results showed that Avicennia marina had the highest sequestration potential, followed by Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Ceriops tagal, and Excoecaria agallocha. Leaf length, width, and thickness measurements among the four species indicated variation in their CO absorption capacity.

Abstract

Abstract

This qualitative literature study explores the impact of organizational culture on job satisfaction and employee retention within multinational companies (MNCs). Drawing upon a comprehensive review of peer-reviewed scholarly sources, this research identifies how distinct cultural values, leadership styles, communication practices, and corporate philosophies shape the work environment and influence employee experiences. The study highlights that a strong, adaptive, and inclusive organizational culture significantly contributes to enhanced job satisfaction by aligning employee values with organizational goals, fostering trust, and promoting a sense of belonging. Additionally, such cultural environments are linked to higher retention rates, as employees are more likely to remain with organizations that support personal growth, cross-cultural collaboration, and transparent leadership. The findings of this literature-based inquiry emphasize the strategic importance of cultural alignment in talent management, particularly in the context of global operations where cultural diversity presents both challenges and opportunities. This study provides theoretical insights for scholars and practical implications for human resource professionals in formulating culture-driven retention strategies.

Abstract

Pangkalpinang City is the capital of Bangka Belitung Province, which has a strategic location as a transit city. Pangkalpinang City also has an important role as a center for offices, administration, economy, and transportation on Bangka Island. Pangkalpinang City's status as the capital of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the center of regional activities, and the center of office, administration, economy, and transportation activities on Bangka Island. Therefore, the need for the development of activity nodes that synergize with public transportation is very important, because the current condition of Pangkalpinang City has public transportation but it is not the main choice. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using an empirical analytic approach based on Node-Place Model analysis to identify the conditions of activity nodes that occur and the balance between nodes (public transportation networks) and places (potential places for interaction and activity between humans) or land use activities. This is because the node-place model is a concept used to analyze and balance two important elements in urban development, namely nodes and places. This concept was developed to understand how the interaction between transportation systems and land use can affect population mobility and regional development. This study concludes that mobility patterns in Pangkalpinang City are centered around activity hubs, including office complexes, educational institutions, recreational areas, residential areas, and trade and service areas. The development typology focuses on increasing transit points, parking availability, pedestrian paths, population growth, and infrastructure improvements to support transit-oriented areas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between academic stress and emotional eating behavior among high school students in Salatiga. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 105 students selected through an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using two psychological instruments: the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) to assess the level of academic stress, and the Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ) to measure emotional eating behavior. Data were analyzed using Spearmans Rho correlation test through IBM SPSS Statistics version 24.00. The findings indicate that there is no significant relationship between academic stress and emotional eating. However, the descriptive analysis reveals that a large number of students experience high levels of academic stress, and most students fall into the moderate category of emotional eating. These findings suggest that although no statistical correlation was found, both academic stress and emotional eating are prevalent phenomena among students. Therefore, it is important for parents and teachers to support students in healthily regulating their emotions and to be more aware of their psychological well-being.
