Abstract

Village Community Empowerment is a process that aims to increase the ability and capacity of communities at the village level in managing existing resources, meeting basic needs, and playing an active role in development. The utilization of village fund allocations in 148 villages in Gayo Lues district is still not utilized optimally every year for community empowerment activities even though village fund allocations have been provided by the government for each village. This research aims to analyze the empowerment of village communities through the use of village fund allocations and the factors that influence the use of village fund allocations in empowering communities. The theory used is the theory of community empowerment according to Adisasmita with 3 aspects, namely the input aspect (Human Resources, Budget, Facilities and Infrastructure, Data, Planning and Technology), the process aspect (Implementation, Monitoring and Supervision), and the output aspect (Target achievement, Effectiveness and Efficiency). The research results show that the empowerment of village communities through the allocation of village funds in Gayo Lues Regency based on research results has not yet been achieved as expected. The allocation of village funds which is expected to be able to achieve 70% use in the field of community empowerment, is in fact not used optimally by the village government in Gayo Lues Regency. The factor that influences the use of village fund allocations in empowering village communities in Gayo Lues Regency is the inconsistency of village officials in using village fund allocations in community empowerment programs between community proposals during village musrenbang and the realization of the implementation of community empowerment programs.

Abstract

This study explores the role of collaborative academic supervision in optimizing teacher performance within the framework of the Independent Curriculum. The Independent Curriculum, implemented in Indonesia, emphasizes student-centered learning and encourages teachers to adopt innovative teaching strategies. However, effective implementation requires a supportive environment, where academic supervision plays a crucial role. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews and focus group discussions with educators and school administrators from various educational institutions. The findings reveal that collaborative academic supervision fosters a culture of shared responsibility among teachers, enhancing their professional development and instructional practices. Participants reported that engaging in collaborative supervision activities, such as peer observations and joint lesson planning, significantly improved their teaching efficacy and motivation. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of building strong relationships among educators, as trust and open communication are essential for effective collaboration. The research also identifies challenges, including time constraints and varying levels of commitment among teachers, which can hinder the effectiveness of collaborative supervision. Based on these findings, the study recommends that schools prioritize collaborative academic supervision by providing structured training and allocating time for teachers to engage in these activities. This approach not only improves teacher performance but also contributes to a more dynamic and responsive learning environment for students. Overall, this research underscores the significance of collaborative academic supervision as a strategy to optimize teacher performance and enhance the quality of education within the Independent Curriculum framework.

Abstract

The existence of myths in the ponan tradition according to the Samawa community is very important and sacred. In addition to being a tradition passed down from generation to generation, the myth of the ponan tradition is also a tourist destination that is always crowded with tourists not only from the local community, but also visitors or tourists from various countries. The purpose of this research is to describe the transformation of the mythical ritual of the ponan tradition which is considered sacred and can be a tourist attraction, as well as mapping the character of visitors to find out how much influence the myth of the ponan tradition can affect visitor interest. The method in this research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The method in this research has five main stages, namely literature study, research implementation, data analysis of research results, providing conclusions and suggestions, and compiling reports and dissemination of research results. Data collection methods in this study include observation, interviews, and documents. The data analysis technique used in this research is interactive analysis. In the rituals of the ponan tradition, there are several myths that develop, namely the pilgrimage to the grave of H. Batu and pasaji ponan. In addition, there are cultural activities and folk entertainment, in the form of ratib rabanna ode, sakeco, lawas, and trif tours around Sumbawa. In essence, the activities that occur in it have automatically been commodified as added value that has an impact on the economic growth of the surrounding community, especially tourism actors. In the celebration of the ponan tradition, several types of visitors were also found, including pilgiaris and generalais visitors. These two types of visitors are evidence that in the ponan tradition there are visitors who come with special intentions, such as wanting to get blessings, have their affairs expedited, and avoid disasters. This type of visitor is called the pilgiaris type of visitor, then in the generalist type, visitors only come to enjoy entertainment, and vacation to fill empty time. This type of generalist visitor has no specific purpose and knowledge related to the ponan tradition.

Abstract

This program aims to implement appropriate technology, specifically, the Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), to optimize tilapia breeding in the fish farmer groups in Pudak Payung Village, Semarang. The RAS technology is applied to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity in the breeding process, hoping to enhance fish seed quality and survival rate. The results show that this technology has reduced water usage, and decreased seed mortality rates. The training provided has also improved the knowledge and skills of farmers in managing the RAS system and water quality. The level of satisfaction among the served community is extremely high, although challenges related to excellent seeds, access to capital, marketing, and harvest management still pose some obstacles. In conclusion, RAS technology has great potential to improve the welfare of tilapia farmers, but further support from the government, academics, and stakeholders is needed for the sustainability and development of the program.

Abstract

Wages are a fundamental right of workers regulated by laws, including policies issued by the government regarding minimum wage. Non-compliance by companies with these policies can lead to various legal consequences, including administrative, civil, and criminal sanctions. This research discusses the legal consequences faced by companies that pay workers' wages, not by government policies, and the legal remedies available to workers when they receive wages that do not align with these policies. The research employs a normative juridical method to deeply analyse the legal consequences for companies that pay wages violating government policies. The findings indicate that companies paying wages below government standards face criminal and civil sanctions, including breaches of minimum wage laws, unlawful wage deductions, or delayed payments. Workers receiving wages that do not comply with government policies can also report to investigators or file civil lawsuits through bipartite negotiations, mediation, and the Industrial Relations Court

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between organizational commitment and teacher professionalism in improving the quality of education in vocational high schools. Organizational commitment is defined as the emotional and psychological attachment teachers have to their institutions, and its positive impact on teacher engagement and student outcomes has been well-documented. Teacher professionalism, which includes continuous development, ethical practices, and alignment with industry needs, is particularly crucial in vocational settings. The synergy between these two factors leads to a culture of excellence where teachers are highly motivated and dedicated to delivering quality education. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, focus group discussions, and thematic analysis to explore these dynamics in vocational high schools. The findings highlight the importance of professional development opportunities and supportive work environments in fostering teacher commitment and professionalism. Furthermore, school leadership plays a vital role in cultivating this synergy by providing recognition, creating collaborative environments, and offering incentives for professional growth. The study concludes by recommending policy interventions that focus on enhancing both organizational commitment and professionalism to ensure sustainable improvements in vocational education quality.
