Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the evaluation of education and training programs organized by the Human Resources Development Agency of North Sumatra Province. The main focus of this study is to assess the effectiveness of training using the four-level evaluation approach developed by Kirkpatrick, namely evaluation at the level of reaction, learning, behavioral change, and final results. The methodological approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through direct observation and in-depth interviews with training participants and program organizers. The study shows that the training program makes a significant contribution to improving participant competence, especially in terms of technical skills and professional attitudes. In addition, there was also a positive shift in the work behavior of participants after participating in the training. However, the implementation process still faces several obstacles, such as limited facilities and less than optimal training time. This evaluation has a strategic role in ensuring the quality of the training program and becoming the basis for decision making for continuous improvement. Therefore, the results of this evaluation are not only useful in the context of the program being studied, but can also be a reference in designing training policies based on needs for human resource development in the public sector in general.

Abstract

This research examines the Realization of Kaluna’s Character in the Home Sweet Loan Film in Real Life using Literary Psychology Theory through a qualitative approach. This film tells the story of Kaluna’s struggle to realize her dream of owning her own home but she must face economic problems, family problems and toxic relationships. This research aims to explain the realization of kaluna’s character in real life such as family and romance problems, economic problems, being the backbone of the family, burying dreams. This research uses Abraham Maslow’s theory. The results of this study are that in the movie Home Sweet Loan there are several scenes which show symptoms of literary psychology. Then in this study found several solutions based on questionnaires that have been distributed to respondents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) di Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2022–2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi linier log-linier dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan data sekunder dari 35 kabupaten/kota. Variabel independen yang dianalisis meliputi PDRB per kapita, persentase penduduk miskin, jumlah penduduk, dan angka harapan hidup. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap IPM. Model regresi log-linier yang dibangun telah memenuhi asumsi klasik seperti normalitas, homoskedastisitas, dan tidak adanya autokorelasi. Evaluasi model menggunakan Mean Absolute Error (MAE) sebesar 0,0167 dan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,8062, yang menunjukkan bahwa model memiliki kemampuan prediksi yang baik dan dapat menjelaskan sekitar 80,62% variasi dalam IPM. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi, pengurangan kemiskinan, pertumbuhan penduduk yang terkendali, serta peningkatan angka harapan hidup berperan penting dalam meningkatkan pembangunan manusia di Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan dalam perumusan kebijakan pembangunan daerah yang lebih tepat sasaran dan berbasis data.

Abstract

Arabic-Malay writing, or aksara Jawi, is a writing system adapted from the Arabic alphabet and used to write the Malay language. Since its emergence in the 13th century, it has played a significant role in the Islamization process, education, and the formation of Malay cultural identity in Southeast Asia. This writing system has not only functioned as a medium for religious propagation but also as a vehicle for literary, administrative, and scholarly activities in the Malay world.This journal aims to examine the origins, development, and functions of Arabic-Malay writing in Nusantara society. By using a descriptive-historical approach, the study explores how aksara Jawi evolved over time and contributed to shaping the identity of the Malay Muslim community. Furthermore, the article discusses the current challenges in preserving this writing tradition in the face of modernization and the dominance of the Latin alphabet in education and communication.The findings indicate that Arabic-Malay script is a valuable cultural heritage that reflects the intertwined history of language, religion, and identity in the region. As a symbol of Malay Islamic civilization, its preservation is crucial for maintaining cultural continuity and fostering appreciation for local traditions among future generations.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) plays a crucial role in supporting individuals’ optimal development across academic, social, personal, and career aspects. The effectiveness of counseling services relies heavily on two key elements: ethics and counselor competence. Ethics serve as a moral framework that ensures integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in the counseling relationship, while competence reflects the counselor’s knowledge, skills, and professional attitude in managing various client issues. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach, aiming to examine the interrelation between ethics and competence in counseling practice. The findings highlight that integrating ethical principles with professional competence is essential in establishing effective, safe, and client-centered counseling services. Counselors are expected to continuously enhance their capabilities through ongoing education, training, and updated ethical understanding aligned with technological and societal developments.

Abstract

The phenomenon of boycott campaigns against certain products and brands in Indonesia, particularly in the context of the Palestine-Israel conflict, reflects the significant role of propaganda in shaping public opinion. This study aims to examine how propaganda serves as both a tool for building collective awareness and a medium for ideological manipulation in society. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research analyzes boycott narratives disseminated through online and social media platforms. The findings reveal that propaganda operates effectively through media framing, moral authority, and the exploitation of collective emotions such as anger and empathy. Nevertheless, it also indicates the presence of hegemonic processes infiltrating public discourse, potentially oversimplifying complex issues into dangerous moral dichotomies. This study highlights the urgency of media literacy and critical awareness towards boycott narratives to prevent society from being trapped in manipulative information flows. Propaganda, in this regard, functions as both a means of constructing consciousness and an ideological instrument that must be critically addressed within Indonesia’s digital public sphere.

Abstract

In today’s digital era, legal literacy among young people remains relatively low, despite the increasing accessibility of digital media. This article aims to analyze how podcasts can serve as an effective medium for legal literacy, particularly in promoting awareness of national defense values. This study adopts a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. The data source is taken from the podcast episode on the Endgame YouTube channel featuring Prof. Mahfud MD as a guest speaker. Data collection was conducted through a listening and note-taking technique to identify key legal and national messages conveyed in the podcast. The results show that podcasts are capable of delivering legal and national issues with a casual yet substantial communication style, making the content more accessible and relevant to young audiences. Moreover, podcasts encourage listeners to think critically, participate actively, and foster a sense of justice and legal awareness. Therefore, podcasts have the potential to serve as alternative media for enhancing legal literacy and strengthening national defense consciousness in the digital era.

Abstract

Interpersonal intelligence in early childhood is important to support children’s ability to socialize, cooperate, and build healthy social relationships. This type of intelligence is not innate but can be developed through early stimulation, especially by teachers in educational environments. This study uses a literature review method to examine the role of teachers in developing children’s interpersonal intelligence. The findings show that teachers can stimulate children’s interpersonal intelligence through social activities, empathy learning, communication development, positive reinforcement, and collaboration with parents.

Abstract

Self-acceptance and self-deprecation are two forms of self-evaluation that have a significant influence on the formation of irrational beliefs in students, especially students with low learning outcomes. Self-acceptance reflects an individual’s acceptance of themselves as a whole, including shortcomings and failures. While self-depreciation is a tendency to belittle themselves and judge themselves negatively. This study aims to examine theoretically the influence of self-acceptance and self-depreciation on irrational beliefs in students who experience academic difficulties. Through literature reviews and findings from various empirical studies, it is known that students with high levels of self-acceptance tend to have rational beliefs and can face failure healthily. However, students with high self-depreciation are more prone to developing irrational beliefs such as feeling unworthy, fearing rejection and absolutist thinking. These findings emphasize the importance of a psychological approach that supports self-acceptance in counseling interventions to reduce irrational beliefs and improve students’ academic mental health.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pemerintah Indonesia dalam mengatasi dua persoalan utama ekonomi makro, yaitu pengangguran dan inflasi. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan analisis terhadap berbagai sumber literatur, ditemukan bahwa pengangguran di Indonesia dipicu oleh faktor struktural seperti mismatch tenaga kerja, ketimpangan pertumbuhan sektoral, serta ketidaksiapan SDM menghadapi perubahan teknologi. Sementara itu, inflasi dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor moneter dan non-moneter, termasuk tekanan harga global, distribusi barang yang terganggu, serta penyesuaian kebijakan subsidi. Pemerintah telah mengimplementasikan berbagai kebijakan seperti pelatihan vokasi, program padat karya, stimulus ekonomi, serta intervensi harga dan subsidi langsung. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun kebijakan tersebut memberikan dampak jangka pendek yang cukup signifikan, efektivitas jangka panjangnya masih terbatas olehkurangnya koordinasi antar lembaga, ketidaktepatan sasaran, dan lemahnya evaluasi kebijakan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi terpadu danlintas sektor yang mampu menyentuh akar persoalan ekonomi secara lebih menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan.
