Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and engagement through the use of technology-based introductory learning media in the Fiqh subject at MI Al-Ma’arif Sidolaju Ngawi. The problem underlying this study is the low level of student participation and learning outcomes that have not yet met the Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM), caused by the dominance of traditional teaching methods and the limited use of learning media appropriate to the students’ characteristics. This study employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 22 Year 5 pupils in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included observation of pupil activities, learning outcome tests, interviews, and documentation. Each cycle comprised the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of the study showed an increase in student learning activity from 51.6% in cycle I to 57.92% in cycle II. Furthermore, the average learning outcome score increased from 63 in cycle I to 80 in cycle II. These findings indicate that the use of technology-based introductory learning media is effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in the subject of Fiqh. This study is limited by a small sample size, the scope of a single class, and a relatively short research duration, so the results cannot yet be generalized widely. Therefore, future research is recommended to involve larger samples, more diverse contexts, and longer implementation periods to obtain more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

This study is motivated by persistent disparities in access to Islamic education influenced by economic, geographical, and socio-cultural factors, particularly at SMP Muhammadiyah Pinrang. These conditions indicate that the existing curriculum has not fully reflected principles of equity and justice, thus requiring an inclusive curriculum design. This study aims to analyze the concept of an inclusive Islamic education curriculum, identify the principles of its design, and formulate curriculum development strategies that can improve access and educational equity. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were obtained from primary and secondary sources, including books, scientific journals, and policy documents, which were analyzed using content analysis techniques. Research results show that an inclusive Islamic education curriculum must be based on the principles of accessibility, equality, learning flexibility, and recognition of student diversity. The developed curriculum model emphasizes the integration of Islamic values with a student-centered learning approach and differentiated instruction. The implementation of this curriculum requires teacher competency support, integration of educational technology, as well as supportive policies. The application of an inclusive curriculum has been proven to increase participation, motivation, and fairness in education, as well as promote the creation of an Islamic education system that is more adaptive and relevant to the demands of the times.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an aid for PPKn (Pancasila and Citizenship Education) teachers in designing Pancasila character-based assessments. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, this study involved 45 PPKn teachers from public junior high and senior high schools in the city of Bandung as participants. Quantitative data were collected thru a structured questionnaire developed from the adaptation of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the TPACK framework, while qualitative data were obtained thru in-depth interviews with 12 informants selected thru purposive sampling. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression, while qualitative data were analyzed thru six-phase thematic analysis. The results show that 82.2% of teachers using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot) experienced a statistically significant improvement in the quality of character assessment instruments across all measured dimensions, with the most notable improvements in the completeness of rubric descriptors and alignment with Pancasila values. The efficiency of assessment design increased on average by 63.4% in terms of time saved. Multiple regression analysis reveals that teachers' digital competence is the strongest predictor of the quality of AI-assisted assessments, emphasizing that AI functions as a collaborative tool rather than an autonomous substitute for professional assessments

Abstract

The post-truth era and the disruption of artificial intelligence (AI) present major challenges to the digital education ecosystem, where learners are highly vulnerable to algorithmic bias and misinformation. Classical and contemporary learning theories, including connectivism, can be comprehensively expanded to address the internal critical adaptation strategies required by learners in navigating such environments. Therefore, this conceptual study aims to formulate the Dynamic Cognitive Learning Theory (DCLT) to bridge existing theoretical gaps, employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on 56 reputable scientific publications. The research results formulate DCLT based on three main pillars: Adaptive Cognition for mental flexibility, critical Digital Literacy and Navigation, and Learning Ecosystem Synergy that positions AI as a partner and teachers as cognitive mentors. The learning mechanism operates through four stages: input, evaluation, integration, and reflection. DCLT successfully bridges human internal cognitive capacity with external technological networks. Consequently, DCLT advocates for curriculum restructuring and the adaptation of educators' roles to cultivate epistemically resilient learners in the 21st century. However, this conceptual study is limited as it has not been empirically validated in the field, and its effectiveness is assumed in environments with adequate infrastructure. Therefore, it is recommended that future research empirically test the DCLT operational framework through experimental studies and design more specific instructional models.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the RQA (Reading, Questioning, and Answering) learning model on the science concept comprehension of fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cimanggu. The research method used is pre-experimental with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design involving 24 students. Data collection was carried out through tests, observations, and documentation, with tests as the main instrument. Data analysis used a quantitative approach through comparison of pretest and posttest, followed by normality test, homogeneity test, and paired samples t-test at a 5% significance level. The results show that the average posttest score of 72.0286 is higher compared to the pretest score of 64.3216. The hypothesis test using a paired samples t-test at a 5% significance level yielded a sig. value of 0.016, which is smaller than 0.05. This indicates that the RQA (Reading, Questioning, and Answering) learning model has a significant effect on improving the science concept understanding of fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cimanggu. This study has limitations in the use of a design without a control group, a limited number of subjects, and a relatively short research duration. Therefore, it is recommended that future research involve a larger sample, use a stronger experimental design, and extend the research duration so that the results obtained are more comprehensive and generalizable.
