Abstract

This research aims to explain the types of contexts in the Qur'an and to elucidate their significant impact on the interpretation of the Qur'an. The research follows a descriptive analytical approach by examining the words of Imam Sheikh Muhammad Al-Tahir Ibn Ashur in his interpretation, as well as relevant reference materials and books of tafsir associated with his work. The approach involves classifying, collecting, analyzing, and presenting the data while understanding the rules and foundations of his interpretation.This research demonstrates that Imam Muhammad Al-Tahir Ibn Ashur placed great emphasis on the context of the Qur'an. It also proves that there is no repetition within the Qur'an and that understanding its context is highly beneficial for interpreting its texts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the iqra learning paradigm in building the nation's character. This research uses a qualitative approach and a literature study method. Based on the results of the study, the iqra paradigm in learning is able to touch the substantive meaning, namely the ruhiah aspect, where education almost loses this aspect. There are at least two aspects that must exist in the world of education today, namely the aspect of affection and directionality of values. The approach of compassion and the development of divine values should be integral in the entire educational effort. Because the success of education cannot be separated from these two aspects. How these aspects are read and absorbed by students in educational communication delivered by the teacher.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the learning methods of the Abbasid Caliphate. The research method used is qualitative with a literacy study approach. The results show that the 'ilmiyyah learning method is directed to form a level or type of deep thinking, but it is not allowed to release the spirit of the teaching-learning process in the theme of creation, khashiyyah (characteristics of objects and potential for life), and utilization according to shara' law "axiological aspects". Regarding the techniques, it is obligatory to increase the atmosphere of thinking and linking with facts, such as hands-on practices and laboratory experiments. The format of education during the Abbasid Caliphate, whether formal (madrasas, Sufi dormitories), non-formal (halqahs in mosques or shaikhs' houses), or informal (home education) was part of the technique, so it was dynamic according to the situation and conditions surrounding it.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of Bandera Islam newspaper in the Caliphate movement from 1924 to 1927. The current study was conducted by using a historical approach in four stages: searching of historical sources (heuristics), critics, interpretation, and historical writing (historiography). Bandera Islam was a newspaper in Melayu language published by an Islamic organization movement in Hindia Belanda (Indonesia) called Sarekat Islam. At that time, newspaper publishing was a well-known method used by organizational movements to socialize their thoughts to the public. Bandera Islam had been published since 1924 until 1927, along with the period in which Sarekat Islam involved in the Caliphate movement. Therefore, many articles written by Sarekat Islam activists were found in Bandera Islam.

Abstract

Religious Values ​​are a character or ethical way of thinking and behaving that characterizes each individual in relation to good and bad values, so that the characters that will appear become habits that are actualized in attitudes and behavior to always do good things continuously. Dasa Darma is an educational value in the Scout Movement. The formulation of the problem in this study is What are the Religious Values ​​in the Scout Movement from the formulation of the problem, the objectives to be achieved in this research are; To understand what religious values ​​are in the Scout Movement. The research method used is a qualitative research method and is a library research, namely by conducting research on written sources that are relevant to the research topic. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that religious values ​​in the Scout Movement can foster a spirit of mutual respect which aims to form good people who have good morals in accordance with the call of Rasulullah SAW and the goals of Indonesian education.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the majority of Muslims in Indonesia are still unable to read the Qur’an in accordance with the science of recitation. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of planning, implementing and evaluating fashohatul lisan learning activities at the Indonesian Al-Qur'an Center institution. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive method. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis from Miles & Huberman which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion/verification. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The findings of this study are that the fashohatul lisan method is the basic method of learning the Qur'an at the Indonesian Al-Qur'an Center which focuses on fluency letter by letter in reading the Qur'an, has an urgency as a first step for standardizing recitation in verse until Rasulullah saw. The fashohatul lisan method has an influence on improving the quality of reading the Qur’an, namely the reading of the Qur’an which is standardized according to the reading of the Prophet Muhammad.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the obscured and buried history of Islamic caliphate relations in Sundanese Tatar. The purpose of this research is to find traces of Islamic caliphate relations in the Sundanese region. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Based on the results of the research, Islamization in Sundanese Tatar is closely related to the preaching of Islam in the early era of the Companions and Tabi'in, which was famous for various futuhat led by the Caliphs. During the Abbasid Caliphate, there was a cultural relationship between the Caliphate and Islamization in Sunda.  During the Uthmanid Caliphate, there was a structural relationship with evidence of the title of Sultan from the Uthmanid Caliphate through the Sharif of Makkah as the guardian of the Caliphate, indicating the delegation of imarah 'ammah 'ala al-bilad to the Sultans to represent the Caliph in implementing Islamic Sharia and implementing Ri`ayah ash-Syu`un (managing the affairs) of the Muslims in their territory. This is because one of the functions of the Caliphate is to spread Islam to various countries, both through Da'wah and Jihad.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the weak arguments according to Imam Ibn Juzay in his interpretation. This study follows an analytical descriptive approach, by following the arguments weakened by Imam Ibn Juzay in his interpretation of the facilitation of the sciences of revelation, then collecting, classifying, presenting, and analyzing them, in accordance with their origins and rules of interpretation. This study proves that the arguments weakened by Imam Ibn Juzay in his tafsir from Sūraħ Al-An-Nazi'at to Sūraħ At-Tariq number eleven places. This study reveals that the arguments weakened by Imam Ibn Juzay are not all correct, and the knowledge of the arguments weakened by Imam Ibn Juzay in his tafsir is something that should be considered and explored by tafsir teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to identify hoaxes and the main factors of their spread through social media and understand their history through Quranic studies, to find out the Quranic attitude towards rumors in the modern era and address them through its verses and interpretations. This research follows a descriptive and analytical approach, and the methods of collecting information in this research are library and documentary research methods. The researcher traced Quranic verses related to hoaxes, collected and interpreted them carefully through books of tafsir, then related them to hoaxes. The researcher also used previous research on the subject with detailed attribution of references to the research and the book. This research proves that hoaxes have a long history, as they have existed since the time of our father Adam and our mother Eve, who were only ordinary humans back then, and their spread has increased in our own time.

Abstract

Behavioral modification-based learning model is considered necessary as it helps achieve learning outcome, that is to modify learners’ behavior to get expected personality. This model includes physical and biological aspects of learners. The model also requires a comprehensive and detail account of certain behaviors so that it can provide a comprehensive alternative to change the behavior.  This literature study aims to explore how this behavioral modification-based learning model can be implemented in Islamic education. Data of the study are derived from relevant articles and books on behavioral modification and its relevance to Islamic education. Findings and analysis show that many aspects, principles, purposes, methods, and procedures of behavioral modification theory are applicable in the area of Islamic education. This is because the main of Islamic education is to change learners’ maladaptive behaviors into the adaptive and acceptable behavior. This modification is necessary to develop Muslim students with good characters.
