Abstract

The Prophetic Sunnah has urged the protection of  environment and forbade   it with anything, because damage is forbidden in Islam in all its forms and manifestations, just as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, commanded to stop and remove harmful things from the roads, and commanded to be cleaned  because the Creator is beautiful and loves beauty, and as the purified Sunnah focused on Great interest in planting and afforestation, the human relationship with the surrounding universe is based on the basis of harnessing and empowerment, as Ibn Abbas said: And harnessing necessitates empowerment, and the condition for this empowerment is the achievement of the principle of succession, so it is necessary to have sublime directives to direct human behavior in dealing With this planet, which is the seat of the human caliphate,  it is not surprising then that we find that the Sunnah of the Prophet celebrates the resources of the environment, disciplines man with a rational environmental system, and precedes human systems to preserving the environment in the best way and the highest law. On this basis, this paper aims to shed light on the issue of environmental protection in the light of the purified Prophet's Sunnah, and its justifications in this modern era. The researcher used the descriptive approach; This is done by following the scientific materials on the importance of the environmental protection and society on the Islamic perspective, especially with regard to the noble prophetic sayings, which are considered the second source of Islamic law. The focus of this study is to discuss how significance Islam has given towards environmental protection in the light of prophetic traditions. the study concluded that Islam is the only religion that encourages man to protect himself and his environs at the same time without discrimination or prejudice.

Abstract

This study illuminates a crucial yet underexplored mechanism: how international legal norms were adapted to safeguard the caliphate’s legitimacy and continuity under European hegemony. It examines how the Hamidian regime both adopted and reshaped international law—as a regulatory framework and as a strategic bargaining tool to preserve dynastic survival. Drawing on a historical-critical methodology that combines primary-source archives with Ottoman intellectual discourse, this research uncovers the dialectical interaction between the Islamic legal tradition of siyar and modern international-law constructs. Findings reveal a fundamental paradox: Ottoman integration of international norms both signified subordination to European diplomatic standards and served as an adaptive realpolitik strategy amid shifting global geopolitics. By reconstructing Ottoman international relations from a non-Western perspective, the study offers historiographical innovation and yields conceptual insights for contemporary Muslim-majority states formulating foreign policy in the face of enduring hegemonic pressures.

Abstract

The story of the Prophet Joseph is one of the most prominent narratives in the Qur'an and has the title ahsan al-qasas because it contains a life journey full of trials, emotions, and exemplary. This research is important because it analyzes how social media-based da'wah is able to represent Qur'anic values relevant to modern life. This study aims to examine Ustaz Firanda's interpretation of the maghza of the Prophet Joseph's story, as well as analyze the structure and discourse strategies he uses. The research method used is qualitative with the maghza approach and Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis. The results showed that Ustaz Firanda highlighted moral values including patience in facing trials, guarding oneself from the temptation of women, not showing off favors, doing ihsan, and using tawriyah to avoid false speech. From the discourse aspect, this story is presented representatively as a reflection of contemporary life, building a communicative relationship with the audience through light language and contextual analogies, and creating an identity as an academic preacher. The YouTube dissemination strategy makes this lecture flexible and accessible. Socio-culturally, this lecture serves as a space for the formation of religious awareness and moral reflection that is relevant to the challenges of the times, and answers the needs of the people for digital da'wah.

Abstract

Fî Zhilâl Al-Qur'ân by Sayyid Qutb is one of the most influential works in the field of contemporary Qur'an interpretation, offering a unique and reflective approach to understanding the Qur'ân. Instead of focusing on technical linguistic analysis or classical historical narratives, this work emphasizes the internalization of the spirit and message of the Qur'an. Qutb's reflective method highlights resistance to tyranny and promotes the establishment of divine values in socio-political life. However, this work is not immune to epistemological criticism, especially regarding the lack of scientific references, ideological subjectivity, and oversimplification of complex meanings. This paper aims to analyze the interpretive methodology used in Fî Zhilâl al-Qur'an, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and place it in a broader landscape of modern Qur'anic interpretation. Using a qualitative approach and content analysis, the study found that although this work lacks academic rigor in some respects, it significantly contributes to resurrecting the Qur'an's role as a dynamic and revolutionary guide to life.

Abstract

This study addresses the growing need for moral and spiritual educational models in contemporary Islamic education, especially amidst the dominance of formalistic and secular approaches. It aims to explore the Qur’anic-based educational values exemplified by Abu Darda’ raḍiyallāhu ‘anhu, a Companion of the Prophet renowned for his spiritual wisdom and contribution to Islamic learning. Employing a qualitative method with literature-based conceptual and historical analysis, this research finds that Abu Darda’s educational model is integrative—combining moral exemplarity, inner purification (tazkiyah al-nafs), and the lived application of Qur’anic values. The model emphasizes holistic character formation beyond cognitive achievement. This study contributes new insights by positioning Abu Darda’s model as a strategic alternative for Islamic educational transformation. Its implications include curriculum reform, teacher empowerment as spiritual mentors, and a shift toward value-based pedagogy in policy development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) strategy, analyze teachers' and students' perceptions, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing learning interest in ISMUBA at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Bandung. A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving ISMUBA teachers, students in grades 4–6, and the principal. The results show that IBL was implemented through discussions, case studies, role-playing, and field practice, creating an active, contextual, and enjoyable learning environment. Teachers and students had positive perceptions, feeling more enthusiastic, confident to express opinions, and better understanding Islamic teachings and Muhammadiyah history. Supporting factors include school management support, teacher competence, and a collaborative school culture, while inhibiting factors involve limited modules, varied student characteristics, time constraints, and limited facilities. The novelty lies in applying IBL to ISMUBA by integrating Islamic and Muhammadiyah values, and the implication is to strengthen value-based active learning policies to develop noble-character Muhammadiyah cadres.

Abstract

Some of the leftover from conflict such as unresolved status of ISIS-linked detainees, including women and children held in overcrowded and poorly managed facilities such as Al-Hol camp, continue to pose pressing humanitarian and security risks. This study aims to analyze the implications of prolonged detention on regional stability and radicalization efforts. By using a qualitative descriptive method, the research utilizes purposive sampling of secondary data from 2015–2024, which includes academic works, NGO and UN reports, and journalistic investigations. Our findings reveal that legal ambiguity, substandard living conditions, and lack of adequate oversight create a volatile environment that may deepen the spread extremist ideologies. The study also explores the role of geopolitical dynamics, especially Turkey’s involvement in northern Syria and the questions involving Kurdish groups. The paper contributes to current discourse by offering a unique approach of the ISIS remnant issue in postwar Syria. The authors emphasize the need for a coordinated international policy response, urging the need for detainee rights protection, rehabilitation efforts, and sustainable reintegration programs within the region.
