Abstract

Principal leadership was a determining factor in the education process in MI Muhammadiyah Special Program Kartasura. Principal leadership emphasized the formation of student character and not on student grades. The purpose of this study was to describe the leadership style applied and the role of principals as leaders in building high-quality school. This type of research was qualitative research. The research design used was phenomenology. Research used primary data in the form of interviews and observations and used secondary data in the form of documents obtained from school. The data analysis used was an interactive model analysis with source triangulation and methods. The results of this study were: First. Principal leadership had a democratic-monarchic leadership style. This was based on the system that applied in the process of determining policies and decision-making processes carried out jointly. Second, the role of the principal included several aspects that had been carried out, namely: as an educator, as a manager, as an administrator, as a supervisor, as a leader, as an innovator, as a very good motivator. The principal could be an example in carrying out their duties. Therefore, the type and character of the leader must be observed and assessed properly.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) has been contributing to build moderate character for Muslims in Indonesia towards globalization. However, amid peaceful Islam disseminated in the country, nowadays, radical Muslim movement challenges this character. This study aims to describe the construction of turats (traditional Muslim virtues), which has been taught in pesantren as an orthodox teachings legacy, to create young Muslim with moderate attitude through character education. It will also highlight about how and why character education with Islamic orthodoxy content is necessary to be inculcated in pesantren to produce moderate Muslim. Qualitative research was employed in this study, with a case study approach. In doing so, data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documents analysis techniques. The results demonstrated that the moderate character building based on the modernization of turats is derived from the renowned dogma of the ushul fiqh (traditional Islamic Jurisprudence); al muhafadhatu 'ala al-qadim as-sholih wal akhdu bi al-jadid al-ashlah (maintaining good tradition and employing the new-better one). It also revealed that within 24 hours pesantren learning activities, this jargon is disseminated to the students through the concept of Islamic guidance. In this concept, moderate character values infused to the student’s activities are rooted to the Qur'an (Muslim holy book) and Hadits (Prophet’s wisdom) as the religious foundation, the founding fathers’ vision (historical foundation), the pesantren mission (institutional foundation), and the contextual experience (empirical foundation) as well as the dynamic challenges of the globalization. The entire character education process paves a pivotal way to the moderate Muslim generation creation.

Abstract

Layanan bimbingan dan Konseling di berbagai institusi, universitas, perguruan tinggi baik swasta ataupun negeri merupakan bagian penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat luas, terutama mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mendeskripsikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di PTKIN. Lokasi penelitian yang di ambil yakni IAIN Surakarta dan UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni diskripsi kualitatif dengan intrument pengumpul data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian yang dilibatkan yakni, 2 orang psikolog, atau konselor, 2 orang dosen pendamping akademik dan 3 mahasiswa   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk  mendeskripsikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di PTKIN. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pada setiap PTKIN memiliki program khusus dalam mefasilitasi mahasiswa. Di UIN Sunan Kalijaga terdapat terapi menulis bagi mahasiswa sementara di IAIN Surakarta terdapat Hypnoteraphy.

Abstract

Rencana penerapan pembelajaran tatap muka di Indonesia selama pandemi sedianya dilakukan pada Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Kebijakan ini disambut baik oleh sekolah dan orang tua. Meskipun demikian, kebijakan ini kurang didukung dari aspek kesiapan sekolah dalam penyelenggaraan belajar tatap muka yang mengalami hambatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data yang digunakan adalah data dari hasil angket terbuka, data interview dan data hasil pengamatan, sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru, murid, orang tua dan kepala sekolah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket terbuka, melakukan wawancara dan melakukan pengamatan serta mereview beberapa kebijakan formal secara online, selanjutnya data yang telah diperoleh divalidasi melalui triangulasi teknik.  Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Langkah analisis data Cresswell dengan lima tahapan yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 1. kesehatan siswa, ketersedian sarana kebersihan, dan akses fasilitas kesehatan jumlahnya masih kurang ; 2. kepatuhan pada protokol kesehatan juga kurang; dan 3. izin dan persetujuan penyelenggaraan belajar tatap muka selama pandemi Covid-19 belum sepenuhnya diberikan. Dari temuan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa sekolah kurang siap menyelenggarakan belajar tatap muka.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah guna mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan juga pengendalian untuk strategi penyelenggaraan penguatan pendidikan karakter yang ada pada MAN 1 Klaten. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan ialah memanfaatkan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Metode analisis data kualitatif ini dalam pelaksanaannya melewati tiga tahapan tertentu, di antaranya ialah proses reduksi data, penyajian data dan juga penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan tiga hasil kesimpulan penelitian, di antaranya ialah ialah Perencanaan strategi yang mencakup dengan: (1) Proses dari penyusunan visi dan misi madrasah yang berlandas terhadap karakter bangsa, nilai keimanan, dan juga terampil berbudaya, dan (2) Penyelenggaraan penguatan pendidikan karakter didesain dan dirancang dengan sistematis. Kedua, Pelaksanaan strategi ini mencakup dengan: (1) Pemanfaatan lingkungan madrasah, (2) Program pembiasaan kegiatan yang terdapat dalam lingkungan madrasah, (3) Menjalin dan menjaga hubungan kerjasama dengan pihak yang lainnya, (4) Memberi keteladanan pada lingkungan madrasah, (5) Melaksanakan pengembangan budaya madrasah, (6) Menyelenggarakan program layanan belajar, (7) Penguatan tata tertib madrasah, dan (8) Penguatan pendidikan karakter dengan melalui program ko-korikuler dan ekstrakurikuler dengan berkesinambungan dan juga sistematis. Ketiga, Pengendalian dari strategi penyelenggaraan penguatan pendidikan karakter ini mencakup dengan: (1) Pengendalian oleh seluruh guru dengan melewati beberapa tahapan, di antaranya ialah proses mengamati, pemberian instrumen penelitian diri dan juga teman sebaya, (2) melaksanakan penganalisisan pada fakta temuannya, serta (3) Melakukan penindaklanjutan serta perbaikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan evaluasi program Kembara Bahasa Arab di Universitas Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Proses pembelajaran terdiri dari persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, 2) Problematika pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada program Kembara Bahasa Arab terdiri dari beberapa faktor antara lain faktor peserta yang terdiri dari latar belakang pendidikan peserta, motivasi, kesulitan berbicara bahasa Arab dan kurangnya kosakata, 3) Evaluasi dan solusi dari problematika pada proses pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada program Kembara Bahasa Arab yaitu untuk peserta dengan cara selalu mempraktikkan kosa kata yang telah dihafal dan menyempatkan diri untuk mengikuti kegiatan kelompok belajar bahasa Arab. Oleh karena itu, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa program pembelajaran “Kembara” sudah cukup baik dan sesuai dengan indikator pembelajaran yang baik, meskipun ada beberapa problematika yang perlu diperhatikan dan dicarikan solusi agar program pembelajaran dapat lebih baik. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah dengan melakukan penelitian lain yang membahas mengenai evaluasi program pembelajaran lain. Kata Kunci: Evaluasi, pembelajaran, bahasa Arab, program kembara, mahasiswa ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the evaluation of the Arabic Language Tour program at Darussalam University, Gontor Ponorogo. This study uses a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis method. The results showed that 1) The learning process consisted of preparation, implementation, and evaluation, 2) The problems of learning Arabic in the Arabic Language Tour program consisted of several factors, including participant factors consisting of participants' educational background, motivation, difficulty speaking Arabic. and lack of vocabulary, 3) Evaluation and solutions to problems in the Arabic learning process in the Arabic Language Tour program, namely for participants by always practicing memorized vocabulary and taking the time to take part in Arabic learning group activities. Therefore, it can be concluded that "Kembara" learning program is quite good and in accordance with good learning indicators, although there are some problems that need to be considered and solutions are found so that the learning program can be better. Suggestions for further researchers is to conduct other research that discusses the evaluation of other learning programs.Keywords: Evaluation, learning Arabic, Arabic, traveling programs, students

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on the quality of work life on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and work motivation. The results showed that work-life balance had a significant effect on job satisfaction, but work-life balance did not have a significant effect on organizational commitment and work motivation. This research is a descriptive study – single cross sectional. The type of data used in this study is primary data in the form of a questionnaire. The population of this study is an educator at the University of Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin. The number of samples required in this study were 25 respondents from a total population of 100 people. The main problem in this research is that educational institutions or companies must be able to provide a proper place for their employees considering that their contribution is very important in carrying out activities so that an institution or company can be sustainable.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the social development and behavior of autistic children and find ways to develop the social skills and behavior of autistic children during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method is qualitative research. The data ware collected using interviews, documentation studies, and observations on parents and special assistant teachers for children with autism spectrum disorders of primary and secondary school age. Check the validity of the data used source triangulation. The results showed that autistic children during this pandemic experienced a decline in behavioral, social, and communication aspects. The method that is considered effective in overcoming this is by using daily activities for the development of social skills and behavior. The components of these activities are 1). Creating communication using verbal and visual language. 2). Develop new routines by forming new habits. 3). Monitor the mental development and physical health of children. 4). Establish regular collaboration and communication with schools. 5). Utilize existing human resources at home. 6). Literacy practice in children. 7). Always involve children in daily activities at home. 8). Encouraging children's social relations to connect with friends and teachers by utilizing technology media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe collaboration-based learning in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The speakers in this study were teachers and principals. Collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. The validity of the data used was the triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis in this study used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show in 2 ways: 1). Collaborative learning where students do more learning through class discussions and completing assignments in groups. The implementation of this collaborative learning is carried out to create child-friendly schools that always involve students in real activities. teachers who teach learning in both high and low classes orientate their students to always communicate and interact in the teaching and learning process. 2). The implementation of the outing class is carried out programmatically by each class teacher to suit the theme being studied. This activity is carried out in places that have a value following the theme being studied for the achievement of student attitudes. This activity has been programmed in all classes with the scheduling system for each class.
