Abstract

People with mental disabilities, especially people with mental disorders (ODGJ) and individuals with Down Syndrome, face significant challenges in their daily lives. This journal explores the main problems they face. The purpose of this community service activity is to identify problems and solutions that must be taken for people with mental disabilities. The empowerment method used in this community service activity is the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. This journal proposes several strategic efforts to overcome these problems. Increasing public awareness through education and counseling can help reduce stigma. Strengthening mental health services by increasing access and quality of services is essential. Support for inclusive education and vocational training for people with mental disabilities can improve their skills and job opportunities. Psychosocial support and family training are also very important to help care for family members with mental disabilities. Collaboration with various parties is also needed to create an inclusive and supportive environment for people with mental disabilities. They can live better and have equal opportunities to contribute to society through the right solutions.

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in the Indonesian economy, but barriers to digital adaptation often hinder their growth and competitiveness. This digital marketing mentoring program aims to optimize the sales of MSME Toko Besi Garuda Steel through branding and utilization of digital platforms. The initial stage includes in-depth interviews to understand the needs and challenges of MSMEs, followed by mentoring in creating a logo as a visual identity element that reflects business values. The next step is to help MSMEs create and manage Instagram accounts, focus on profile settings, and attractive content strategies. Education about digital platform features also provides insight for MSME owners in utilizing online marketing opportunities more effectively. This program not only helps MSME Toko Besi Garuda Steel build a digital presence, but also increases understanding of the importance of branding and communication strategies to increase consumer purchasing power. This mentoring is a strategic step to build a strong foundation for MSME Toko Besi Garuda Steel in facing competition in the digital era. With the implementation of the right strategy, Toko Besi Garuda Steel is expected to be able to increase productivity, competitiveness, and turnover sustainably. This program provides an implementation model that can be replicated to empower other MSMEs in similar sectors.

Abstract

This community service aims to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) improve their financial recording capabilities through the Teman Bisnis application. The research method uses a socialization approach. This socialization activity was carried out at the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Regional Revenue Management Technical Implementation Unit (UPT PPD) of Madiun City. The results of the activity showed that the Teman Bisnis application had a positive impact on MSME financial recording. Business actors felt helped in preparing neater and more structured financial reports. However, one of the obstacles found was limited access to premium features that require a subscription fee.

Abstract

Mada Oi Tula, as the main water source for the residents of Punti Village, plays a crucial role in supporting daily needs and local agricultural activities. This study aims to explore the practices of preserving this water source and the challenges faced by the community. Employing a qualitative method with a case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with traditional leaders, community members, and village authorities, as well as through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). The findings reveal that the preservation of Mada Oi Tula is significantly influenced by local cultural values and the community's spirit of mutual cooperation. However, challenges such as deforestation and land use changes pose major threats, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts between the community and relevant stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of this water source.

Abstract

The purpose of washing hands is to provide socialization to children so that children know how to wash their hands properly and correctly in children at Al Fatah Kindergarten Merauke. Children become better able to keep their hands clean. After socialization, children become adept at washing their hands properly and correctly using soap.

Abstract

The socialization of making organic fertilizer from cow dung by the Sebelas Maret University (UNS) KKN Team was carried out in Srimulyo Village, Gondang District, Sragen Regency, on 21 August 2024, with the aim of increasing awareness of farmers and breeders about the importance of organic fertilizer and offering environmentally friendly agricultural solutions. The partners for this activity are local communities, especially farmers and livestock breeders. Through socialization and direct demonstration methods, the KKN team introduced a simple method of processing cow dung into organic fertilizer. This activity not only emphasizes the benefits of organic fertilizer in increasing soil fertility, but also encourages reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers. The implementation of this activity received a positive response from the community, with the results showing an improvement in soil quality after using organic fertilizer. It is hoped that the impact of this activity can support the sustainability of organic farming in Srimulyo Village. In conclusion, this outreach activity succeeded in providing a new understanding for the community regarding the management of livestock manure as organic fertilizer and has great potential for further development.

Abstract

Technology is a system used to market via social media in the current era of globalization. The socialization activity with the theme “The Role of Technology in Improving the Economy in Mojowatesrejo Village” was held on December 13, 2024 at the Mojowatesrejo Village hamlet hall. This socialization activity is carried out to teach the public about the role of digital technology, not only that, but also to carry out socialization and direct practice in using digital through social media. Business activities in Mojowatesrejo village include the agricultural, livestock and craft sectors. After learning about the important role of digital technology, people were very enthusiastic and began to actively use social media to promote their products.

Abstract

Drug abuse has become one of the most alarming social issues in Indonesia, particularly among the younger generation. This community service activity aims to enhance public awareness and understanding of the dangers of drug abuse through a socialization program conducted in Mojodowo Village, Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency. The methods employed include lectures, interactive discussions, and evaluations in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The socialization materials cover the definition of drugs, their impact on health and society, and preventive measures that can be taken by the community. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants' understanding of drugs and the importance of preventing their misuse. This program positively influenced participants, especially the youth, by fostering collective awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and emphasizing the critical role of the community in creating a drug-free environment.

Abstract

Batik Mangklek MSME, located in Margosari Village, Kendal Regency, faces challenges in strengthening its visual identity and branding. These MSMEs need a logo design as a symbol of identity that can increase the attractiveness and differentiate the products in the market, especially in supporting online marketing. The objective of this activity is to design a logo that represents the cultural values and creativity of Batik Mangklek, which is expected to support their digital marketing strategy. The logo creation process involved surveys, interviews, and research on design trends and logo philosophies that match the characteristics of local batik. As a result, the logo successfully combines elements of local culture and creativity, with a philosophy that reflects the character of Batik Mangklek. The logo was handed over to Batik Mangklek MSMEs, along with usage guidelines on online promotional media and product packaging. In conclusion, the creation of this logo has a positive impact on strengthening the visual identity of Batik Mangklek MSMEs and increasing the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies, so that their products are more easily recognized and demanded by consumers.

Abstract

Kalianyar Village, known as the center of the tofu manufacturing industry with 22 active tofu factories, has great economic potential. However, the products produced are mostly still in the form of traditional tofu, which does not provide added value and new business opportunities for the community. The purpose of this Community Service Program (PKM) is designed to empower mothers in the village by providing training in processing tofu into various innovative products with high economic value. This training method involves direct demonstrations, joint practice, and interactive discussions, participants are introduced to various tofu processing techniques into products such as thau donuts, tofu sticks, Kentucky tofu and tofu meatballs. This training not only focuses on the technical aspects of processing, but also on marketing strategies to increase product competitiveness in local and regional markets. The results of this activity show an increase in participants' skills in processing tofu and the emergence of initiatives to start small businesses based on tofu processing. The positive impact of this program can be seen from the opening of new business opportunities that are expected to contribute significantly to improving the economy of families and communities in Kalianyar Village.
