Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze the disruption of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies on the academic integrity crisis among higher education students and to propose a new adaptive evaluation framework. The research methodology employed is library research with a critical study approach. Data collection was conducted through a systematic digital search protocol across indexed scientific databases for literature published between 2021 and 2026. The gathered secondary qualitative data were then analyzed using qualitative content analysis techniques. The results indicate a radical shift in how students utilize AI chatbots, mutating from tools for conceptual brainstorming (cognitive augmentation) into shortcuts for instant assignment completion (cognitive outsourcing). This phenomenon has triggered a new form of academic dishonesty termed "AI-giarism" and fostered moral neutralization techniques among students, exacerbated by a vacuum in formal institutional policies. Furthermore, the study reveals the total failure of technical enforcement instruments (AI detectors), which prove to be systematically biased against non-native English writers and highly vulnerable to simple text manipulation. As its core scholarly contribution, this paper pioneers the Authentic Evaluation & Adaptive-Ethical (EA2) Framework, which centers on process-based assessment, prompt literacy transparency, and micro-scale oral verification. This conceptual model shifts institutional focus from a punitive-technological stance toward a preventive-pedagogical approach to restore academic integrity in the era of artificial intelligence.

Abstract

The integration of global diversity into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesian multicultural high schools remains fragmented. This study developed and validated the Integrative Kebhinekaan Global-PAI (IKG-PAI) model using the ADDIE framework and a convergent mixed-methods design. Participants included 312 students and 27 PAI teachers from five schools in Bandung, Brebes, and Temanggung. Quantitative data from student questionnaires (α=.94) and teacher self-efficacy scales (α=.92) were analyzed via t-tests and ANCOVA; qualitative data from interviews, focus groups, observations, and 150 reflective journals were thematically analyzed. The model yielded significant improvements in all four global diversity elements (p<.001, Cohen’s d=2.05), with ANCOVA showing the experimental group (adjusted M=4.28) outperforming controls (adjusted M=3.52, η²=.32). The highest gain was in reflection and responsibility (d=2.03). Qualitative findings confirmed transformative shifts in intercultural perspectives, empathy, and interfaith engagement. The IKG-PAI model successfully transforms the P5 project from ceremony to substantive learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning evaluation based on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in strengthening students’ inclusive attitudes in inclusive schools. The study is motivated by the dominance of cognitive-oriented evaluation practices in PAI learning, which have not optimally assessed students’ tolerance, empathy, and respect for diversity. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of GCED-based learning evaluation practices within educational contexts. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving PAI teachers, students, and school administrators selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, method triangulation, and member checking, while data analysis employed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that GCED-based PAI evaluation was implemented through authentic assessment practices such as attitude observation, collaborative projects, reflective journals, and group discussions aimed at strengthening tolerance, empathy, and respect for diversity. The study also found that learning evaluation plays a significant role in fostering an inclusive and democratic school culture, although its implementation still faces challenges related to limited attitude assessment instruments and teachers’ competencies in affective evaluation. This study contributes to the development of GCED-based PAI evaluation concepts and provides practical implications for developing more humanistic and contextual learning evaluation practices.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education has driven a paradigm shift in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction, particularly regarding the implementation of Distance Learning (PJJ). The evolution of digital learning platforms necessitates instructional designs that go beyond mere knowledge transfer to foster interaction, collaboration, and inclusivity within the learning process. While prior research indicates that digital platforms can enhance learning effectiveness, challenges persist—specifically the digital divide, low technological literacy, and students' limited self-regulated learning skills. This article aims to analyze the revitalization of PAI instruction in the digital era through interactive, collaborative, and inclusive distance learning designs. A library research method was employed, utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach to examine national and international literature on digital learning and distance education. The findings indicate that revitalizing PAI instruction requires integrating digital technology, strengthening teachers' digital literacy, implementing collaborative learning strategies, and creating instructional designs that adapt to student diversity. The article’s novelty lies in the development of a PAI distance learning framework that simultaneously integrates interactivity, collaboration, inclusivity, and the reinforcement of Islamic values within the context of educational digital transformation. Such innovative distance learning designs offer a solution for enhancing the quality of PAI instruction, ensuring it remains relevant to 21st-century educational needs.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the 21st century requires a paradigm shift in the learning process, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). PAI learning is no longer merely oriented toward the transfer of religious knowledge, but also toward the development of 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration (4C). This article aims to analyze the transformation of Islamic Religious Education learning design in addressing the challenges of the 21st century through the integration of Islamic values, active learning approaches, the utilization of digital technology, and the strengthening of students’ character. This study employed a qualitative approach using the library research method by analyzing various literature sources, scientific journals, and relevant references related to 21st-century learning and Islamic Religious Education. The findings indicate that the transformation of PAI learning design needs to be systematically implemented through student-centered learning, contextual teaching and learning, technology integration, and the application of innovative learning models such as Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, and inquiry learning. In addition, learning evaluation should be directed toward authentic assessment covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects comprehensively. This transformation is expected to make PAI learning more relevant, adaptive, and contextual, enabling students not only to understand Islamic teachings theoretically but also to apply them in daily life amid the challenges of the digital era and globalization.
