Abstract

English is an international language, some countries make English a second language after their native language. Learning English from an early age is certainly a good thing, because it cannot be denied that learning English is important and beneficial for a person’s future. In the initial stages of learning English, what is very important to learn first is learning vocabulary, because vocabulary will help someone to learn someone to learn English at the next step and help someone be able to cummunicate using English well. SDN 039 Air Terbit applies singing activities in carrying out English vocabulary learning, singing activities can help students develop and memorize English vocabulary easily, especially for class 1 students, this activity will certainly make class 1 students more antusiastic in memorize English vocabulary. The purpose of this research is : (1) to find out how singing activities are implemented in learning english vocabulary for class 1 students at SDN 039 Air Terbit, (2) to determine the effectiveness of singing activities in developing the vocabulary of class 1 students SDN 039 Air Terbit. This research method is qualitative research, the data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

There are many cases of bullying at school so it can have a bad impact, bullying among students is a serious problem that has a negative impact on the victim and the school environment as a whole and bullying can also reduce the level of self-confidence of students who experience bullying. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and bullying behavior. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data was obtained through questionnaires distributed in schools. The research results show that self-efficacy has a significant relationship with bullying behavior.

Abstract

Whether or not an education in a country is successful is one of the learning models. One of the problems faced in learning Civics is the low learning outcomes of students. The use of conventional learning models causes students to be passive and have difficulty in understanding learning. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes, one of the efforts that can be made to improve student learning outcomes is to use the Think Pair Share (TPS) type cooperative learning model in the learning process. The research method used in this research is Descriptive Quantitative with a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach which was carried out in 2 cycles. The results of the research obtained in cycle I of the material on the relationship between the Pancasila principles in Civics subjects by using the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model achieved classical completeness of 50% and increased to % in cycle II. The results obtained in this study indicate that the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of Civics class V odd semester students of SD Negeri 15 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability to write descriptive essays in Indonesian language lessons for class V students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru. The researcher found a way to solve this problem by applying poster media as an effort to improve the ability to write descriptive essays for class V students. The research method that the researcher used in this research was Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle having 2 meetings. Each cycle in this research consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The data that researchers obtained was then analyzed descriptively. This research involved 30 Sa'ad class V students. Researchers found that the results of teacher and student activities developed significantly in each cycle using poster media. In the first cycle of teacher activities, the results were 53% and 58%. In cycle II teacher activity increased to 66% and 96%. Student activity in cycle one was 34% and 52%. Meanwhile in cycle II it rose to 60% and 79%. The learning outcomes obtained at the pre-cycle stage were 58.10%. After the first cycle was held, the results obtained were 74.43% and the results obtained in the second cycle were 85.07%. The percentage of classical completion in the pre-cycle was 43%, increasing in cycle I by 60% and the percentage obtained in cycle II increased by 90%. Abstract

One of the important components in learning is the learning method. There are many types of learning methods, one of which is the problem-based learning method. The problem-based learning method is one of the active learning methods that can be applied by teachers when carrying out the learning process in the classroom. Through problem-based learning, students will be invited to learn independently, find information related to the problem, conduct discussions, find solutions in solving problems and can make conclusions. This article aims to find out how the implementation of problem-based learning methods to improve students' analytical skills in Islamic religious education subjects, the steps in applying problem-based learning methods and the factors that support and hinder the application of problem-based learning methods in Islamic religious education subjects at SMAN 10 Sijunjung. The method used in this research is field research through a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis of the data obtained through observation and interviews. The results of the research in this article are that teachers are able to apply problem-based learning methods through the right material, teachers are able to apply the steps and guide students with problem-based learning methods and teachers are able to overcome some of the obstacles faced in applying problem-based learning methods.

Abstract

Bundo Kanduang traditional clothing is one of the important symbols in West Sumatra's cultural heritage, especially among the Minangkabau people. In addition to serving as a body covering, this garment symbolizes social status and a strong ethnic identity. This study aims to document and analyze the characteristics and social significance of Bundo Kanduang traditional clothing in the context of Minangkabau culture. The method used in this study is qualitative, which includes literature studies and interviews with the manager of the West Sumatra pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta. Data was collected through direct observation during visits to the platform, as well as analysis of written sources regarding traditional Minangkabau clothing. The results of the study show that Bundo Kanduang clothing has striking characteristics, such as a headdress that resembles a buffalo horn, which symbolizes the strength and dignity of women in the Minangkabau community. This clothing also reflects the cultural values and traditions that are upheld by the local community. The implications of this study are very significant for cultural preservation. This finding can be used as a reference for cultural education in schools and as research material for future researchers. In addition, a deeper understanding of Bundo Kanduang traditional clothing can encourage people to better appreciate and preserve their cultural heritage.

Abstract

This article examines the education system in Malaysia, focusing on key aspects such as the structure of education, curriculum, government policies, as well as the challenges and opportunities within the country's educational landscape. The research also highlights how technological advancements and social shifts impact the delivery of education. Additionally, this article will analyze a news example related to Malaysia's education system, with an emphasis on identifying spelling errors found within the text. These errors will be analyzed to enhance the understanding of the importance of using correct language, especially in media that addresses educational topics.

Abstract

Human resource (HR) management in small and medium scale furniture businesses has a crucial role as the main driver of business success, as well as making a significant contribution to the national economy through absorbing labor and increasing people's income. However, this sector faces various challenges, such as limited capital, technology and effective workforce management. In contrast to large companies, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the furniture sector have limitations in employee development due to limited financial resources, which has an impact on training, skills development and incentives. With increasing demands for globalization and digitalization, SMEs are required to adapt and optimize HR management to increase competitiveness. Therefore, a strategic approach in HR management, such as continuous training, performance evaluation, and implementation of a structured management system, is very important to increase employee productivity and work quality. This research aims to identify effective strategies that can optimize employee potential, increase business productivity, and have a positive impact on local economic growth. Implementation of the right strategy is expected to be able to improve the performance of furniture SMEs and the welfare of the workforce in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Education is one of the efforts to improve the quality of human resources. The purpose of this study is to examine the current poor quality of education in Indonesia. Indeed, education is something that is agreed upon as the main concern of every nation. The quality of education of a nation is one of the determinants of the progress of a nation. In other words, the progress of a nation or country can be measured by the quality of education of that nation or country. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Literature research is used as the method. The author collects information from newspapers and books that are believed to be true and relevant to the discussion of this article. According to the results of the study, education in Indonesia is still of low quality. The low quality of education in Indonesia can be attributed to the many educational problems faced by Indonesia. These problems are classified into two types, namely macro education problems, which consist of confusing and overly complicated curricula, unequal education, costs, teacher placement, and poor teacher quality. The problems with microscopy are the monotonous method, inappropriate equipment and infrastructure, and poor student performance. The discussion includes several solutions that are expected to solve Indonesia's education problems and Indonesia can improve the quality of its education so that it can be compared or even outperformed by other countries. This letter is expected to increase the awareness of each individual to build a better and more advanced Indonesia to prepare quality human beings.

Abstract

Character education plays an important role in forming students who are not only academically intelligent, but also have strong morals and positive behavior. Character education is a process of developing moral values, ethics and virtues to create individuals who are virtuous, responsible and able to respect human values. The main factor in character formation is oneself, but family and environment also have a crucial role. At SMK Negeri 2 Panyabungan, character education is implemented through the integration of character values in learning and extracurricular activities, supported by collaborative learning methods that teach cooperation, responsibility and empathy. The implementation of character education has been proven to increase student learning motivation, discipline and interest in learning. Values such as honesty, hard work and discipline are involved in learning activities and are internalized by students through direct experience and example from teachers. Strengthening this character also reduces the level of delinquency and conflict at school, creates a conducive learning environment and supports students’ personal development. Consistent character education has a positive impact, both on academic aspects and on the formation of attitudes and behavior needed in the world of work and social life. In this research, it is found that education has an important role in forming character and increasing students’ interest in learning. This research aims to analyze the application of character education in improving the moral values, ethics and learning motivation of students at SMK Negeri 2 Panyabungan. Character education is integrated through innovative approaches such as project-based learning, involving schools and families in forming children’s character. The research results show that character education significantly supports students’ personality development, increases interest in learning, and helps them face life’s challenges positively.
