Abstract

Using a case study at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara (UNIWARA), this study tries to find out the function of digital immigrant instructors in virtual communication. According to Marc Prensky's theory, this study uses a qualitative descriptive method with lecturer informants born before 1980 and involves students as source triangulation. Snowball sampling was the method used in this study, and data literacy and interviews were used for data collection. According to the study's findings, Zoom and WhatsApp are the most commonly used virtual communication platforms among digital immigrant professors. By raising courses that are relevant to the professional background of the participants, reviewing case studies of problems in the workplace related to communication science theory, and evaluating the effectiveness of communication by examining the results of assignments or students' reactions to the content and discussions in online lectures, lecturers can attract students to participate.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in addressing differences in student abilities. Teachers employ individual and group approaches, along with methods such as lectures, discussions, and exercises to enhance student absorption. Factors influencing these differences include family background, interest, and environment. The study aims to identify how teachers motivate students and create a conducive learning environment.

Abstract

Preparing for primary school is an important phase in a child's educational development. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between strengths and difficulties identified through the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) with school entry readiness in prospective elementary school students in Deli Serdang Regency. The study involved data collection using the SDQ which covers five main domains: emotional problems, behavioral problems, hyperactivity, relationships with peers, and pro-social behavior. The results showed that children with high scores on pro-social behavior and low scores on behavioral problems had better readiness to adapt to the school environment. In contrast, high scores on emotional problems and hyperactivity indicate potential obstacles in the adaptation process. This study confirms the importance of using the SDQ as an evaluation tool to identify areas in need of intervention, thereby supporting children's optimal transition to formal education. The implications of the results of this study can serve as a reference for parents, teachers, and policy makers in developing strategies that support children's readiness to enter primary school. Abstract

This study aims to analyze human freedom to will and act based on philosophical, theological, and practical views, and explore its application in national life in Indonesia. The main focus of this study is to find thoughts that can lead the Indonesian nation to progress, be respected, and continue to receive the grace of Allah SWT. The method used in this study is a literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach, in which various expert views, theories, and concepts about freedom are analyzed and adjusted to the context of social, political, and economic life in Indonesia. The results of the study show that human freedom to will and act must be integrated with the values ​​of Pancasila and theological principles of Islam, such as ikhtiar and destiny, to create responsible freedom. In addition, freedom of opinion needs to be managed wisely in order to strengthen democracy and maintain socio-political stability. In the economic sector, freedom must be combined with policies based on social justice to reduce inequality and create inclusive growth. This study also highlights the importance of responsible freedom thinking, as offered by Nurcholish Madjid, to encourage national progress that remains based on spiritual values. The results of this discussion show that human freedom in various aspects of life can be the foundation for the progress of the nation, as long as it is managed with the values ​​of responsibility and spirituality. With this approach, Indonesia can become a nation that is advanced, competitive, and full of blessings.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of quality control for sponge cake products in the Pastry Section of Harris Hotel & Conventions Bundaran Satelit Surabaya. The primary objective is to analyze how quality control is applied across raw materials, production processes, and product presentation. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. Findings reveal that raw material quality control includes inspecting quality, maintaining recommended storage temperatures, and utilizing FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) systems. The production process adheres to standardized recipes and precise oven temperature settings to ensure consistent results. Mixing and baking are carried out with attention to detail to minimize errors. Presentation emphasizes aesthetic appeal, including the addition of garnishes, to enhance visual attractiveness. The study also highlights the importance of staff training in maintaining consistent quality control. In conclusion, effective quality control not only improves product quality but also enhances customer satisfaction, which is critical for success in the hospitality industry. Recommendations include enhanced staff training, SOP updates, and stricter supervision to maintain quality standards.

Abstract

The development of instructional media encompasses all tools that can be developed to assist teachers in delivering messages to students, thereby creating a clearer, engaging, efficient, and effective learning process. The aim of this research is to understand the development of instructional media in Islamic Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam or PAI) focusing on PowerPoint. The research method employed is qualitative with a field study conducted at SMA Misbahul Khair, South Kotabumi, North Lampung. The results of this study indicate that the development of learning media based on PowerPoint for the subject of Islamic Education has a positive and responsive impact on class XI students at Misbahul Khair High School. The material, which was previously somewhat abstract due to a reliance on textual explanations, becomes more concrete and easily comprehensible when presented using PowerPoint, directly aiding students' understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of Friday prayer material through the application of the role playing method in class VII MTs Roudhotul Huda. The background of this study is the low learning outcomes of students on Friday prayer material as indicated by daily test scores and minimal participation in class discussions. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The instruments used include pre-test and post-test, observation sheets, and documentation of the learning process. The results of the study indicate that the role playing method can significantly improve students' understanding and increase student activity during the learning process. Thus, the role playing method is effective for use in fiqh learning, especially Friday prayer material.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' prayer practice skills through the application of demonstration methods in Islamic Jurisprudence learning. The study was conducted in class 2 of MI Golempang using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which was implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation and literature studies. Based on the results of problem identification, it was found that there were still students who had difficulty in practicing prayer, both in terms of movement and reading. Through the application of the demonstration method, it is expected to be able to correct these errors so that the quality of students' prayer practice increases. The results of the study showed that the demonstration method was able to increase students' concentration in learning and direct the learning process more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of direct learning models in improving the understanding of Fiqh material in elementary school students. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which is implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The direct learning model was chosen because of its systematic and structured approach, which is considered capable of helping students understand Fiqh material which tends to be considered difficult and abstract. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student understanding, both in terms of academic test results and activeness in class discussions. This model not only helps students understand the basic concepts of Fiqh, but also encourages them to relate the material to everyday life practices. Although challenges are still found, especially in delivering more complex Fiqh material, the implementation of direct learning generally has a positive impact on the quality of Fiqh learning at MI Nurul Yaqin Donoyudan.

Abstract

This study focuses on the application of the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, and Test) method in Fiqh learning in class V of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Al Ikhlasul Hidayah. The methods that have been used in class tend to be conventional, where the material is taught through lectures, followed by memorization, and practice. This condition often causes students to feel bored, tired, and less interested in learning, which ultimately hinders the achievement of optimal learning outcomes. In this study, the approach used is classroom action research with qualitative methods, where data is obtained through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the application of the PQRST method in Fiqh learning in class V MI Al Ikhlasul Hidayah succeeded in increasing students' interest in learning. The learning process becomes more interesting, effective, and optimal, which in turn contributes to increasing students' understanding of the material and interest in Fiqh lessons.
