Abstract

Mauidzul Amin Al-Islamy Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic Boarding School in Pamekasan that has undergone significant development in its educational system. This development includes integrating traditional salaf methods, such as the teaching of kitab kuning and Qur'an memorization (tahfidz), with modern education. This study aims to analyze the historical development of the pesantren, the curriculum system applied, and the impact of educational transformation on the quality of students (santri). The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a historical and case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and relevant document analysis. The findings reveal that the educational transformation at Mauidzul Amin Al-Islamy has successfully improved the quality of the santri, both in their religious understanding and academic competencies. The students excel not only in Islamic scholarly traditions but also possess the skills to compete in the broader world. Flagship programs such as Qur'an memorization, mastery of foreign languages (Arabic, English, Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese), and scientific activities like the Education Festival are the highlights of the pesantren.

Abstract

Islam encourages its followers to seek knowledge as an obligation that has the value of worship. In Islam, seeking knowledge not only contains academic aspects but also involves psychological and sociological dimensions. This study aims to explore the ethics of seeking knowledge in Islam and examine its psychological-sociological dimensions. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were obtained from the Qur'an, hadith, journals, and related literature. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models, including data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that Islam teaches various ethics in seeking knowledge, such as sincerity, respecting teachers, maintaining intentions, and practicing the knowledge gained. From a psychological perspective, the ethics of seeking knowledge are related to motivation, such as Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which explains that achieving knowledge is a human need towards self-actualization. From a sociological perspective, Durkheim's theory highlights the importance of social norms in maintaining balance and harmony in the education process. This study confirms the relevance of the ethics of seeking knowledge in shaping the character of individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and moral in the modern era.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery that students who graduated from Junior High School (SMP) were more active and superior than students who graduated from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Islamic Education learning. This is of course a problem, because basically, in PAI learning, students who graduate from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) must be superior to students who graduate from Junior High Schools (SMP) because students who graduate from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) are students with notaben educational backgrounds religion school. This is of course a problem that must be resolved. So this research aims to compare the PAI learning outcomes of the two graduates and see how comparable they are. The type of research used in this research is comparative with a quantitative approach. The population is all class The sample in this study used a cluster random sampling technique, and 4 classes were sampled, with details of 36 MTs graduate students and 71 junior high school graduate students. Data was collected through documentation and analyzed independent sample t tests. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, research results show that there is a comparison of student PAI learning outcomes between MTs and SMP graduates, which is proven by the results of the independent sample t test where the calculated t value > t table is 8.332 > 1.985. And student PAI learning outcomes are higher for MTs graduate students as evidenced by the mean difference value in the independent sample t test of 7.329, which means that MTs graduate students have an average PAI learning outcome score of 7.329 higher than the PAI learning outcomes of junior high school graduate students so that Ha accepted.

Abstract

Islam and democracy are often considered two concepts with fundamental differences, particularly in terms of sovereignty, law, and decision-making processes. However, in the context of Indonesia, these two concepts have interacted in a unique and dynamic way. As the largest democratic country with a Muslim majority, Indonesia serves as a social laboratory for testing the compatibility between Islam and democracy. This research examines the Muslim community's response to democracy through two main approaches: theological thinking rooted in Islamic values such as syura (consultation), ‘adalah (justice), and musawah (equality), as well as political practices reflected in Muslim participation in Indonesia's democratic system. Furthermore, this research explores the role of Islamic organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah in promoting inclusive democracy, as well as the challenges faced, such as radicalism and identity politics. The research findings indicate that Islam is not only compatible with democracy but also enriches democratic values through ethical and moral principles. Thus, this paper provides an important contribution to understanding the relationship between Islam and democracy, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Identity crisis is a problem that often occurs when someone is an adult or teenager. Self-identity is a sharpened awareness of one's self and is used to explain who one is, which includes one's character and also as a standard of action in evaluating one's self in the various things one does. The alpha generation, which was born in the digital era with unlimited access to information, is a huge challenge in building this self-identity. This research aims to examine that Islamic Religious Education has a strategic role in developing a person's self-identity, by providing guidance on spiritual, moral and social values ​​that can help this generation recognize and build a strong self-identity. This research was carried out using the literature study method by examining related references from books and scientific journals.

Abstract

This research is driven by curiosity and public concerns about the diverse characters of children or individuals in Indonesia. Society holds high expectations for children to receive proper character education so that they develop into individuals with strong character, noble morals, and the ability to live in accordance with Islamic law. Given this situation, it is necessary to conduct a study by examining various examples from the community who are currently or have previously engaged in the process of educating their children. The researcher conducted surveys and interviews with local people, obtaining a wide range of diverse responses. To achieve these objectives, this study employs qualitative-descriptive research methods with literature review techniques. The results indicate that early character education is crucial, and selecting appropriate methods aligned with Islamic teachings helps children develop faith, knowledge, practice, broad insight, good citizenship, and noble character that benefit all of humanity.

Abstract

This article aims to increase the understanding and internalization of character values ​​in class B children of RA 'Aisyiyah Tanjungsari through the use of Arabic mahfudzot with the singing method. This research was motivated by children's lack of understanding about the character values ​​being taught, as well as children's lack of interest in learning Arabic. This research was carried out in two cycles, with each cycle including planning, action, observation and reflection. Data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, performance tasks and documentation. The results of the research show that the use of Arabic mahfudzot with the singing method significantly increases children's understanding and internalization of character values. This is shown by the increasing ability of children to explain the meaning of mahfudzot, practice character values ​​in everyday life, and show enthusiasm in learning Arabic.

Abstract

Penerapan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) merupakan pendekatan integratif yang menggabungkan teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji tentang penerapan TPACK dalam memenuhi kebutuhan Guru Penggerak Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMKS Gotong Royong Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui data primer dan sekunder, dengan tehnik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan tehnik observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan informan. Penyajian data serta menarik kesimpulan yang berkaitan dengan penerapan TPACK dalam memenuhi kebutuhan Guru Penggerak Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMKS Gotong Royong Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TPACK di SMKS Gotong Royong Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo telah membantu guru PAI dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mereka untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pengajaran, sehingga dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan efektif. Selain itu, implementasi TPACK juga membantu dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Guru penggerak PAI merasa lebih siap dan percaya diri dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung berbagai strategi pengajaran yang inovatif.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the accentuation of the value of Insaniyah in the Somat Family Animation Film, where previous research has not been specific to this aspect. Qualitative setting with descriptive analysis is a form of this research, in order to describe the problem as findings from data in manuscripts and related writings. The findings show that the film has a storyline that is easy to digest, contains many human values and characters that are so attached to the reality of daily life. The implications of research on the importance of practicing human values in animated films for Islamic education. Research is expected to contribute to the meaning of a film from the aspect of social ethics.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of contextual learning strategies in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The method used in this research is literature study by analyzing various relevant literatures. The results of the study show that contextual learning can encourage students to find the relationship between the material learned and the real world situation, encourage students to apply their learning outcomes in real life, and involve students in discovering material through the process of direct experience. However, in its implementation there are challenges faced, such as the CTL strategy takes a long time for students to understand all the material, teachers must work extra to be more intensive in guiding, student errors in trying to connect subjects with the reality of everyday life. Therefore, proper handling is needed in optimizing the use of contextual learning in PAI learning.
