Abstract

The principle of justice is the main foundation that must be upheld regardless of gender, race, or social background. However, in reality, women in conflict with the law often face different challenges and discrimination compared to men. It must be recognized that women are vulnerable in the legal and social context. They often experience structural and cultural inequalities, which can affect their access to justice. For example, negative perceptions and gender stereotypes sometimes affect the objectivity of law enforcement officials in handling cases involving women, both as victims and suspects. Therefore, providing justice to women in the legal process is a necessity that is not only normative but must also be realized in real terms through special policies, approaches, and protection. This article analyzes how gender-responsive legal protection and assistance mechanisms are crucial for women dealing with the law. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to gain an in-depth understanding of the problems faced by women in the legal process. The results showed that providing justice to women in conflict with the law requires a real commitment from various parties, from law enforcement agencies and legal counsel through mechanisms to strengthen advocacy and gender mainstreaming. Thus, justice can be felt and given without gender discrimination, and women can be protected, treated fairly, and have their rights by applicable regulations.

Abstract

Land consolidation is a land management policy that aims to improve land efficiency and productivity. However, in Maluku, this policy often causes agrarian conflicts due to discrepancies between regulations, government interests, and the rights of indigenous peoples. One notable case is the agrarian conflict in the Aru Islands, where the granting of land concessions to PT Menara Group without the consent of indigenous communities sparked widespread resistance. The Protestant Church of Maluku (GPM) plays an important role in advocating for the rights of indigenous communities through the #SaveAru alliance and various environmental advocacy policies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyze land consolidation policies, socio-economic impacts, and the role of GPM in advocating for the rights of indigenous communities in Maluku. The results of the study show that weak regulations and the neglect of indigenous peoples' rights have contributed to the failure of land consolidation, leading to prolonged agrarian conflicts. Therefore, stricter regulations and the active role of civil society, including religious institutions, are needed to oversee equitable agrarian policies.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) within the financial sector, aiming to provide a systematic overview of the field's development, key themes, and intellectual structure. Using data from the Scopus database, the study analyzes publication trends, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrences, and country collaborations from 2000 to 2024. The findings reveal a growing emphasis on digital finance technologies, particularly cryptocurrency, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, highlighting the evolving challenges in AML. While traditional themes like financial crime, terrorist financing, and regulatory frameworks remain central, the integration of technological innovations such as AI and blockchain is reshaping AML strategies. The study also identifies key authors, institutions, and global research collaborations that have significantly contributed to AML scholarship. Based on these findings, the paper suggests several directions for future research, including the exploration of emerging technologies in AML systems, cross-border regulatory alignment, and empirical assessments of AML effectiveness. The study underscores the interdisciplinary and global nature of AML research, which is essential for combating financial crimes in an increasingly digital financial landscape.
