Abstract

The use of technology can be integrated into early childhood education up to college. Several studies explain that technology can improve the learning process in early childhood education. This study aims to investigate teachers' perceptions of technology integration into early childhood learning. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method that applies a case study as a research design. The data obtained are primary data. The research instruments consisted of observations, interviews, and surveys in which teachers of the Pelangi Early Childhood Education School in Lotu District, North Nias Regency became research respondents. The results of the study showed that most teachers showed a positive attitude towards the use of technology in the classroom and had tried to integrate it into learning activities. Meanwhile, there are two obstacles in implementing technology in learning for early childhood, namely maintaining their attention when using technological devices in the classroom and choosing technology that is appropriate for children. The use of technology in learning can motivate, make learning more fun, child-centered learning, and increase children's opportunities to achieve learning targets

Abstract

This research aims to analyze cooperative abilities in early childhood (AUD) and the factors that influence them. The subjects of this research were children aged 4 to 5 years who were in Agropolitan Kindergarten in the Toto area, South, Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, which involves direct observation of children's social interactions in group activities, interviews with educators, and analysis of documents related to children's social development. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis. The results of the research show that the ability to collaborate in early childhood develops gradually, from the ability to follow group instructions at the age of 4-5 years, to the skills to resolve conflicts and work in group projects at the age of 5-6 years. Factors that influence children's cooperative abilities include support from the family environment, educational approaches based on collaborative learning, and peer influence. However, several challenges were found, such as children's difficulty in sharing, lack of social experience, and differences in individual character. As a solution, it is recommended that educators and parents be more active in developing children's social skills through collaborative games, project-based learning, as well as empathy training and constructive conflict resolution. It is hoped that this research will provide insight into the development of teaching methods that can support the development of cooperation in early childhood.

Abstract

The development of gross motor skills in early childhood is a crucial component of their growth and development. However, the implementation of sports programs that support these skills often faces challenges, including inadequate facilities and a lack of understanding among educators and parents regarding the importance of gross motor skills. Effective solutions to overcome these challenges involve providing facilities that support children's physical activities, increasing educators' and parents' knowledge of the significance of gross motor skills, and implementing playful and creative learning methods. Additionally, traditional games can serve as an effective alternative in the development of children's gross motor skills. A comprehensive approach, including specialized training for educators and enhanced parental involvement, is necessary to achieve optimal development in early childhood.

Abstract

Cutting skills are one of the fine motor skills that are important in early childhood development. This activity not only involves eye-hand coordination, but also supports children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. This study aims to analyze the level of cutting skills of early childhood children in Ki Hajar Dewantoro V Kindergarten, using a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through a skill assessment checklist that included indicators of accuracy, neatness, speed, and eye-hand coordination. The results showed that 58.82% of children had optimal skills, while 23.53% were in the low category. Variations in these abilities are influenced by age factors, environmental support, and children's self-confidence levels. These findings are in line with Vygotsky and Erikson's developmental theories, which emphasize the importance of scaffolding and emotional support in skill development. This study concludes that cutting activities can be an effective method to improve children's fine motor skills, especially if supported by the right learning approach and intensive guidance.
