Abstract

The RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model was developed as a learning approach that emphasises active student engagement through explicit and systematic stages. This study aims to examine the use of the RADEC learning model in history education through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Data were obtained from Google Scholar using the Publish or Perish application with the keyword ‘RADEC’ and limited to publications from 2015 to 2025. Of the 100 articles collected, only 9 were relevant to the topic of history learning, and after selection based on inclusion criteria, only one article met the analysis requirements. The article demonstrated that the application of RADEC significantly improved students' learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. The findings also highlighted challenges in implementing RADEC, such as low student reading interest and insufficient teacher readiness. However, the simple and contextual syntax of RADEC makes it relevant and effective for implementation. This study concludes that although research is still limited, the RADEC model has great potential in supporting active history learning oriented towards 21st-century skills. Further research is recommended to expand the understanding and implementation of RADEC in the context of history at various levels of education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of clinical supervision at MTS At-Tibyan Deli Serdang in digital era and its implications for improving teachers’ professional competence and the quality of students’ learning outcomes. This research employed a qualitative approach with field research design and hybrid data collection techniques, including online interviews, direct classroom observations, and analysis of digital supervision documents. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, involving supervisors, supervised teachers, and curriculum staff. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that digital-based clinical supervision utilizing Google Spreadsheet enhances the effectiveness of observation processes, transparency of assessment, and efficiency in supervision data management. The supervision process includes natural classroom observations, individualized follow-up, and continuous collective training. The results also show a significant improvement in teachers’ professional competence, including teaching preparedness, use of digital learning media, classroom management, and the ability to design active learning. Furthermore, clinical supervision contributes to increased student participation, motivation, and conceptual understanding through the application of more interactive and constructive learning methods. Thus, digital-based clinical supervision proves to be an effective strategy for improving teaching quality in the digital era.

Abstract

Students' low conceptual understanding remains a fundamental problem in science education at the junior high school level, mainly because teacher-centered learning causes students to merely memorize without understanding the concepts. This condition requires the application of a learning model that can foster deep conceptual understanding and reflective awareness through discovery and direct experience. This study used a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design to measure the effectiveness of applying the Discovery Learning model with a Deep Learning approach. The research subjects consisted of 32 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest), observations of learning implementation, and student reflection sheets. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, including calculations of mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and Normalized Gain (N-Gain) to assess the increase in conceptual understanding. The students' pretest average score of 54.22 increased to 78.09 on the posttest, with an increase of 23.87 points and an average N-Gain score of 0.51 (moderate category). This shows that Discovery Learning-based learning is effective in improving students' conceptual understanding of the relationship between particles and changes in the form of matter. The results of student reflections showed 83.1% positive responses, with the highest aspect being “Impressions and Messages about Learning” (90.6%), indicating that students felt that learning became more enjoyable, interactive, and meaningful. The Discovery Learning model with a Deep Learning approach has proven effective in improving students' conceptual understanding and reflective awareness of Matter States and Particle Models. This approach is recommended for implementation in science learning based on the Merdeka Curriculum to foster critical, reflective learners with scientific character.

Abstract

This This study examines the relevance of Tafsir Marah Labid by Imam Nawawi Al-Bantani in responding to the challenges of globalization and modernization that affect the lives of contemporary Muslims. As one of the prominent scholars from the Indonesian archipelago with a universal outlook, Imam Nawawi Al-Bantani presents a moderate and contextual approach to Qur’anic interpretation rooted in the principles of Ahlusunnah wal Jama‘ah. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method through a literature review of Tafsir Marah Labid and other relevant works discussing Islamic thought and modern social dynamics. The findings indicate that Imam Nawawi Al-Bantani’s ideas in Tafsir Marah Labid remain highly significant in addressing global issues such as morality, education, social justice, and the balance between scientific advancement and spiritual values. His interpretation emphasizes the importance of harmonizing Islamic law with social realities, thus providing guidance for Muslims to uphold the teachings of the Qur’an while engaging with globalization without losing their Islamic identity. Therefore, Tafsir Marah Labid by Imam Nawawi Al-Bantani serves not only as a classical intellectual legacy but also as an inspiration for building a moderate, adaptive, and civilized Islamic.

Abstract

Reading is an important activity in the learning process because through reading, individuals can obtain information, knowledge, and new insights that are useful for their intellectual development. However, based on observations at MI Mambaul Ulum, students' interest in reading is still relatively low. This is evident in the minimal number of students who actively engage in reading, both inside and outside of class. This low interest in reading is influenced by several factors, including the use of ineffective learning methods, inadequate reading facilities, uninteresting teaching materials, and low enthusiasm and motivation among students to participate in reading activities. These conditions have an impact on students' low comprehension of reading materials and suboptimal learning outcomes. Based on these problems, this study aims to increase the reading interest of fourth-grade students at MI Mambaul Ulum through the application of the Quantum Reading method in Indonesian language lessons. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, which was carried out in two cycles. The results show that the application of the Quantum Reading method can significantly increase students' reading interest and learning outcomes. In cycle I, the percentage of students' reading interest reached 55.55% with an average learning outcome score of 62.51, which was still in the poor category. Furthermore, in cycle II, there was a significant increase, namely the percentage of students' interest in reading reached 92.59% and the average learning outcome score increased to 82.22, which is in the fairly good category. This shows that the Quantum Reading method is effective in improving the quality of reading learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis interelasi antara konteks sosial-historis dengan kandungan Tafsir Faid al-Rahman fi Tarjamah Tafsir Kalam Malik al-Dayyan karya K.H. Muhammad Sholeh bin Umar al-Samarani (K.H. Sholeh Darat). Ditulis pada akhir abad ke-19 di tengah ketegangan kolonial Belanda, eksploitasi ekonomi, dan pengawasan ketat pemerintah, tafsir ini diposisikan sebagai respons intelektual dan perlawanan kultural. Menggunakan pendekatan Sosiologi Pengetahuan (Karl Mannheim), penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana latar belakang anti-kolonial K.H. Sholeh Darat, pengalaman Perang Jawa, dan interaksinya dengan tokoh pencerah seperti R.A. Kartini, secara sadar memengaruhi corak penafsiran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keputusan mufasir menggunakan aksara Pegon dan menonjolkan corak akhlak-sufistik adalah strategi cerdas untuk: 1) Memperkuat identitas keislaman dan nasionalisme (konsep hubbul wathan); 2) Menyediakan bimbingan moral dan spiritual di tengah penindasan; dan 3) Memperluas akses literasi Al-Qur'an bagi masyarakat awam dan perempuan Jawa. Dengan demikian, Faid al-Rahman tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai teks keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai dokumen sosio-historis yang berperan vital dalam membangun moralitas dan otonomi intelektual Muslim Nusantara, menjadikannya cerminan ideologi yang terlahir dari posisi sejarahnya

Abstract

This study aims to develop a local wisdom–based children’s storybook entitled Bujang Awang Tabuang to enhance the creativity of Group B early childhood learners. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects involved 18 children in Group B. The validation results indicated that the storybook was categorized as highly feasible, with material expert validation reaching 85%, media expert validation 90%, and teacher evaluation 87%. The results of the limited field trial demonstrated an effectiveness rate of 89%. The novelty of this study lies in the systematic integration of Bengkulu local wisdom into the narrative structure, illustrations, and creativity-based pedagogical activities of the children’s storybook, which was empirically tested using early childhood creativity indicators. The findings confirm that local wisdom–based storybooks function not only as cultural literacy media but also as an effective strategy for creating contextual learning and stimulating creativity in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of integrating interactive video in problem-based learning (PBL) on students’ critical thinking skills in the topic of environmental change and conservation. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Indramayu during the 2024/2025 academic year using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. Data were collected through a critical thinking test consisting of validated essay questions. The analysis included normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that students taught using PBL integrated with interactive videos achieved higher critical thinking skills than those taught conventionally. The integration of interactive videos improved students’ understanding, curiosity, and analytical ability toward environmental issues. Therefore, this approach can effectively foster critical thinking skills in biology learning.

Abstract

Fine arts education in higher education is often trapped in a dichotomy between industrial demands and bureaucratic formalism, which potentially triggers an "erosion of meaning" and "psychological exhaustion" within the academic community. This research aims to identify critical gaps between art education practices in the Fine Arts Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) and the fundamental psychological needs of students and lecturers. Using a Critical Educational Criticism approach, this study analyzes the institutional ecology, including human resources, infrastructure, and curriculum structure. The findings indicate a systemic neglect of fundamental psychological principles, particularly Self-Determination Theory (autonomy, competence, and relatedness), Subjective Well-being, and the failure to integrate humanistic psychology into the art criticism process. Furthermore, a dissonance was identified between Western educational models and the Minangkabau cultural matrix, leading to identity alienation among students. As a strategic solution, this research proposes the paradigm of "Pendidikan Seni Terapeutik Berbasis Kearifan Lokal" through the revitalization of the "Neo-Surau" model and the "Mamak Akademik" mentorship system. The implementation of the egalitarian "Lingkaran Randai" art criticism format is proposed to create a safe space that humanizes and heals. In conclusion, the integration of modern psychology with local ethnopedagogical values is key to transforming art education into an empowering and sustainable process.

Abstract

Higher art education in Indonesia is currently at a crucial crossroad that demands constant adaptation to the dynamics of the times. Reorienting the curriculum is no longer just an administrative choice but an existential imperative for higher education institutions to remain relevant in producing competent art educators and practitioners in the era of digital disruption. This article aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the Fine Arts Education study program curriculum, both at the theoretical level and in its practical implementation within the context of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). The research method used is library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach through the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Theoretical analysis shows that the curriculum is built on a strong philosophical foundation, integrating local wisdom with a competitive global orientation. However, at the implementation level, significant gaps exist, such as technical and administrative obstacles in MBKM implementation, including SKS conversion issues, disparities in digital infrastructure, and a lack of technical understanding among the academic community regarding the new policies. The article concludes with strategic recommendations, including flexibility-based curriculum reorientation, enhancing the digital competence of lecturers, and strengthening external partnership networks to ensure the quality of fine arts education is superior and sustainable in Indonesia
