Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness and challenges of implementing the Cognitive Behavioral Group Therapy (CBT) approach in group settings. Through a literature review methodology, this research analyzes relevant literature to understand how CBT theories and techniques are adapted and applied in groups, and how group dynamics influence the outcomes of therapy. The literature review involves a systematic search and critical analysis of journal articles, books, and previous studies discussing the effectiveness, dynamics, and adaptation of CBT techniques in group settings. The findings of the study indicate that CBT in a group format has proven effective in addressing various psychological issues, such as depression and anxiety, with group dynamics playing a crucial role in reinforcing the change process. However, significant challenges were identified in adapting techniques that are typically applied in individual settings, particularly in dealing with cultural differences and the diverse social backgrounds of group members. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of adequate training for facilitators to manage group dynamics and effectively implement CBT techniques. The conclusion of this research is that group-based CBT holds great potential as an effective intervention for supporting mental health, but it requires careful adaptation and management to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the role of education management information systems in improving the quality of education in high schools. This type of writing is a literature study. Data is collected from various sources both books, websites, or scientific articles contained in Google Scholar. After the data is collected, data selection is carried out, and with concludes. Then the data is analyzed descriptively and continued with content analysis. The results showed that there are several roles of the education management information system in a school including as a tool in helping to improve educational standards, as an effort to mature humans so that they can get closer to the Creator through teaching and guidance which is a benchmark for the quality of education, helping in the operational process of schools that have been designed by current educational criteria,  and support the smooth running of information that wants to get accurate results.

Abstract

This study examines social problems involving the destruction of school facilities. This phenomenon is increasing and causing concern in various educational institutions. This study aims to identify the factors that destroy school facilities, the most vulnerable school facilities to destruction and the awareness of all school residents not to be part of the destruction. The research method used is a quantitative approach with questionnaire data collection techniques. The research participants included all school residents at SMAN 1 Cibadak, SMAN 11 Pandeglang and SMAN 24 Tangerang Regency.  The results of the study show that the factors that cause the destruction of school facilities by individuals include mere pranks. The next most domineering reason is accidentality; pleasures and dislikes; and as a form of venting anger. The facilities that are most vulnerable to damage are benches or classroom tables; toilets or sinks and school walls.  This study recommends several measures to address this problem, such as increased supervision, the implementation of stricter discipline policies and character education programs that involve the active participation of students in maintaining and caring for school facilities. With a comprehensive and collaborative approach, it is hoped that a safer and more conducive school environment can be created for the educational process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the condition of self-esteem of grade X students of MAN 1 Tasikmalaya. This research is descriptive quantitative research with a sample size of 438 students from a population of 500 students. The sampling technique used incidental and used the Tafarodi & Swann (2001) instrument adopted by Wulandari, W (2020). In this study, it was revealed that the condition of self-esteem of class X students of MAN 1 Tasikmalaya was generally in the moderate category or if it was presented was 415 students (95%), which means that most students already have good self-esteem but have not fully shown high self-esteem as shown by students with high self-esteem. Therefore, better improvement is needed so that high self-esteem can be achieved as much as possible. There is no significant difference between male and female students in the level of self-esteem between male and female students because one of the factors that affect self-esteem is the environment. Where they have the same environment, be it at school or boarding school, the same business and activities. Therefore, there is a need for guidance and counselling services using classical guidance. Classical guidance is an efficient service, especially in dealing with the problem of the ratio of the number of counsellors and clients.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation strategies of out-of-school education (OSE) in remote areas through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. The primary focus of this research is to identify the main challenges faced in implementing OSE in remote regions, analyze the role of various stakeholders in supporting OSE implementation, and formulate effective strategies that can enhance the quality and access to education in these areas. Additionally, this study aims to provide policy recommendations that can support the sustainability of OSE in remote regions. The research method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), which involves searching for and critically analyzing related literature that has been published. Data were collected from various sources, including reputable international journals and Sinta-accredited journals, which were then analyzed to identify patterns, themes, and gaps in previous research. The findings of the study indicate that the main challenges in implementing OSE in remote areas include limited transportation access, inadequate infrastructure, and a lack of technological support. Furthermore, the study found that the roles of stakeholders such as the government, NGOs, and local communities are crucial in supporting the success of OSE programs. Effective strategies to improve the quality and access to OSE include enhanced teacher training, the utilization of digital technology, and the adaptation of policies that align with local conditions. The proposed policy recommendations emphasize the need for sustained support from central and regional governments, as well as active community involvement in the education process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the realization of green schools in Insan Kamil Nature School with a conceptual model. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This research uses a phenomenological approach. The primary data in this study is the school community at Insan Kamil Nature School, Gowa Regency. The Principal and Vice Principal, teachers, students, education personnel, and other officers at Insan Kamil Natural School, Gowa Regency are the primary data sources that will be observed and interviewed to collect data on the focus of the problem in the study. The secondary data in this study are books or documents related to the research theme, especially school documents (Insan Kamil Nature School Kabupaten Gowa) related to school policies in environmental management. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, documentation studies, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The results showed that; Realizing a green school at Insan Kamil Nature School must fulfill the four main components of a green school, therefore the curriculum and learning activities of Insan Kamil Nature School must be in line with the main components of a green school by relying on 4 (four) pillars of the Insan Kamil Nature School curriculum, namely: moral development, logic, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of value education in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in schools. This research focuses on understanding how Islamic values are taught, internalized, and applied in students' daily lives. Additionally, the study explores the factors that support and hinder the implementation of value education in the school environment. The research method used is a literature review. The findings show that value education in PAI has been implemented through various methods, such as role modeling, lectures, and group discussions. However, its implementation has not been optimal due to time constraints, materials that lack focus on value aspects, and insufficient support from students' social environment. These findings reveal that the integration of Islamic values with formal learning still requires improvement in terms of teaching approaches that are more practical and relevant to students' life contexts. The conclusion of this study indicates that value education in PAI has great potential in shaping students' character, but it requires more directed strategies and support from various parties, including families and communities. The study recommends a renewal of value-teaching methods in PAI to be more contextual and applicable to students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of family support and self-adjustment on the motivation to recover among narcotics prisoners at the Class IIA Correctional Facility in Purwokerto. Family support plays a role in providing emotional and material encouragement that increases the prisoners' hope, while self-adjustment within the prison environment helps them cope with existing pressures, thereby enhancing their motivation to participate in rehabilitation programs. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 100 prisoners. The data analysis technique employed is multiple regression to determine the influence of each independent variable on recovery motivation. The analysis results show that family support and self-adjustment significantly influence prisoners' motivation to recover, with family support having a greater impact than self-adjustment. Emotional support from family makes prisoners feel valued and optimistic, while self-adjustment enables them to better face the challenges within the prison environment. Based on these findings, it is recommended that rehabilitation programs in correctional facilities involve the prisoners' families more and enhance programs that support prisoners' adjustment to the prison environment. In conclusion, family support and self-adjustment are important factors contributing to the motivation of prisoners to recover from narcotics addiction.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the parenting styles applied to juvenile offenders in Indonesia, analyze the social, economic, and cultural factors influencing these parenting styles, and explain the relationship between parenting styles and children's tendencies to commit crimes. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from several families with juvenile offenders. Data analysis was performed using a descriptive qualitative approach to reveal patterns and relationships among variables. The findings indicate that authoritarian and permissive parenting styles dominate among families of juvenile offenders. The authoritarian parenting style, characterized by strict control and a lack of affection, contributes to aggressive behavior and a tendency to rebel. In contrast, the permissive parenting style, which grants excessive freedom to children, tends to result in uncontrolled behavior and rule-breaking. Socio-economic factors, such as financial pressures, as well as cultural values, also influence these suboptimal parenting styles. This study concludes that there is a need for intervention in the form of parenting education programs and social support for vulnerable families to prevent children's involvement in criminal activities.

Abstract

Bibliotherapy is a technique used in group guidance services as an alternative to overcoming individual developmental problems in social life. This technique involves three stages, namely identification, catharsis, and insight. By reading books, learners can gain cognitive, affective, and psychomotor benefits. Group guidance services with bibliotherapy methods can also increase learners' engagement and make them more active in the learning process. This research explores the effectiveness of bibliotherapy in the context of group guidance. Using selected books, learners are allowed to reflect, identify feelings, and gain new insights. The results show that bibliotherapy can increase self-understanding, reduce stress, and strengthen social skills. Therefore, group guidance services using this approach can be a valuable alternative in helping learners overcome life's challenges.
