Abstract

Bias prevention in the assessment process is often underestimated. The purpose of this study is to examine strategies for preventing bias in the assessment process through a double-blind approach. This study employed a literature review method using various sources related to assessment bias and the double-blind approach. The findings indicate that bias in the assessment process can be reduced through several double-blind strategies designed to minimize the influence of evaluator subjectivity, such as concealing the identities of both students and assessors, as well as organizing anonymous evaluation procedures. This approach helps enhance the objectivity and validity of assessment outcomes, although it requires adjustments and adequate system support to be implemented effectively. These findings provide important recommendations for educational practitioners to adopt double-blind strategies in order to create a fairer and more professional assessment process.

Abstract

This The formation of religious character in schools faces increasingly complex challenges, particularly due to declining discipline in worship, behavioral changes resulting from the strong influence of social media, and a lack of consistent religious habits in students' daily lives. This condition is also evident at SMPN 22 Surabaya, so Islamic Education (PAI) teachers need to design learning strategies and innovations that not only focus on understanding the material but also accompany and guide students in building better religious habits. This study aims to describe how PAI teachers develop religious character through exemplary behavior, habit formation, learning innovation, and mutually supportive cooperation between school elements. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model through a process of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that PAI teachers became role models for students in terms of worship, discipline, and daily behavior. Religious habits were successfully instilled through activities such as tadarus, dhuha prayer, congregational zuhr prayer, kultum, and moral habits. Teachers also apply more lively and relevant learning through contextual, reflective, collaborative methods and the use of digital media. In addition, collaboration between teachers, principals, teachers on duty, homeroom teachers, and student council strengthens the entire religious program so that it is more focused and sustainable. However, obstacles were found, such as unstable student discipline, the influence of social media, and limited facilities and time available. The study concluded that the strategies and innovations of PAI teachers contribute significantly to the formation of students' religious character. The implication is that schools need to strengthen religious culture, develop technology-based learning, and expand cooperation among all school members so that character building can be more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between the concept of morality in Islamic education and the implementation of value-based education within it. By understanding how these values are applied in the educational curriculum, it is expected to encourage the younger generation to develop good character and noble morals. Misunderstandings and poor implementation of moral education can lead to moral decline among youth, as reflected in various social issues, such as student brawls and other negative behaviors. Therefore, in Islamic education, an approach that integrates character education with religious teachings is considered essential. Inclusive teaching methods certainly require the development of strategies that can enhance students' moral and social awareness. Moreover, contributions from various parties, such as parents and the community, play a significant role in supporting this educational process. By integrating character education values into every subject, it is hoped that a learning atmosphere can be created that supports the holistic development of noble character. This study concludes with recommendations to enhance the practice of value-based education, including increasing parental and community involvement in supporting a positive educational environment for students.
