Abstract

This article comprehensively reviews the definition of ontology as a branch of philosophy that studies the nature of existence or reality. Furthermore, the discussion focuses on the application of the concept of ontology in the context of accounting science. It explains how ontology influences our understanding of the objects of accounting study, ranging from assets, liabilities, equity, to economic transactions. A deep understanding of ontology is expected to provide a strong basic framework for the development of more relevant and robust accounting theories and practices.

Abstract

Secara umum, proses pembelajaran siswa disertai dengan pencatatan kehadiran harian yang bertujuan untuk memantau partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan belajar. Namun, metode absensi yang masih dilakukan secara manual menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti risiko kerusakan atau hilangnya data kehadiran, kesulitan dalam pencarian data, serta keterlambatan dalam pengolahan informasi absensi. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan sistem informasi, khususnya dalam manajemen kehadiran siswa, belum diterapkan secara maksimal. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini merancang sebuah aplikasi absensi berbasis teknologi QR Code guna mendukung proses pencatatan kehadiran secara digital. Aplikasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan aplikasi absensi siswa berbasis web dengan teknologi QR Code serta meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan data kehadiran

Abstract

This research examines the factors that influence students in choosing the Accounting Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 5 Gorontalo. This research aims to identify: what factors influence students in choosing the accounting expertise program at SMK Negeri 5 Gorontalo. Based on this research focus, this research aims to determine the specific factors affecting student's decisions to enroll in the Accounting Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 5 Gorontalo. The informants in this research consisted of the Head of the Accounting Study Program and ten 11th grade accounting students. This research employed a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. The results indicate that several factors influence student's choice of the Accounting Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 5 Gorontalo. These include both internal and external factors, namely: interest, talent, motivation, family influence, job opportunity considerations, and economic factors. These factors are interrelated in shaping student's decisions.

Abstract

Bullying in the school environment is still common, this problem can cause negative effects on mental health, academic achievement of students. Safe and comfortable classroom management can prevent bullying. This research aims to examine classroom management strategies that contribute to bullying prevention and build a socially and emotionally healthy learning environment. Through literature review and analysis of classroom management approaches, this article concludes that strategies such as establishing shared classroom norms, restorative approaches, strengthening assertive communication, and empathic teacher leadership can significantly reduce the potential for bullying. The research recommends continuous teacher training in prevention-based classroom management and early intervention.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berani telah menjadi bagian integral dari sistem pendidikan modern, menawarkan transmisi dan aksesibilitas yang lebih luas dalam memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Namun pembelajaran yang berani juga menimbulkan tantangan terkait etika akademik yang perlu diatasi untuk menjamin kualitas pembelajaran yang optimal. Tantangan ini meliputi plagiarisme, kondisi, dan kurangnya interaksi sosial yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa. Artikel ini membahas tentang pentingnya etika akademik dalam pembelajaran yang berani, tantangan yang dihadapi, dan strategi untuk meningkatkan keterlaksanaan etika akademik. Integrasi etika pendidikan dalam kurikulum, pelatihan etika digital dan akademik, serta penggunaan teknologi untuk meningkatkan interaksi sosial dan pengawasan merupakan beberapa strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan penerapan etika akademik dalam pembelajaran berani. Dengan demikian, diharapkan kualitas pembelajaran dapat meningkat dan siswa dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang sebenarnya, sehingga menjadi lulusan yang kompeten dan berintegritas.

Abstract

This study explores inner conflict in the drama script Rindu Ibu by Kukun Triyoga. It uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literary psychology methods. The analysis is based on Carl Rogers’ personality theory, focusing on organism, phenomenal field, and self. The findings show that characters experience psychological tension due to a mismatch between experience and self-concept. Mita faces the deepest conflict after being rejected by her biological mother. Character values such as honesty, courage, and empathy emerge in the emotional healing process.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has driven the transformation of the education system, especially through the implementation of distance learning at various levels, including Senior High Schools (SMA). This study aims to analyze the evaluation and assessment strategies applied in the context of Distance Learning at the senior high school level. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in three senior high schools in Tual City, Maluku. The results of the study show that teachers face a number of challenges in the evaluation process, especially related to assessment accuracy, academic integrity, and limitations of technological infrastructure. However, adaptive strategies were also found to be used by teachers, such as project-based assessment, online formative assessment, and the use of digital platforms to support the evaluation process. This strategy is considered effective in maintaining the quality of assessment amidst the limitations of online learning. This study recommends the importance of strengthening teacher training in the field of digital assessment, improving technological infrastructure, and developing adaptive and contextual evaluation policies to support the success of distance learning.

Abstract

Urban development can be viewed through the lens of increased socio-economic activities and population mobility flows. Population growth is not solely due to natural increase, but also significantly influenced by migration. Ambon City, the capital of Maluku Province, covers a land area of 359.45 square kilometers, with an additional 17.55 square kilometers of sea area.  The substantial influx of migrants into Ambon City presents various challenges, including population density and imbalances in population distribution.  This necessitates an investigation into the factors driving migration and its impact on urban development.This research aims to determine the extent of population migration to Ambon City using quantitative descriptive analysis.  It analyzes the push and pull factors contributing to migration, utilizing data from population censuses, BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik) data, interviews, and observations to identify migration patterns and their impact on the quality of life for Ambon City residents.The research findings reveal specific details regarding inward migration to Ambon City.  However, Ambon City exhibits high rates of both inward and outward migration within Maluku Province. In 2023, Ambon City recorded the highest inward migration rate in Maluku at 27.06% and the highest outward migration rate at 39.71%. Four variables were identified as push factors driving respondents to migrate to Ambon City, and these same four factors were also identified as reasons for migration.  The pull factors, represented by these four variables, received strong agreement (agree and strongly agree) from respondents. The research results are expected to provide recommendations for effective policies to manage migration and ensure sustainable and inclusive urban development.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of analyzing the use of Roman Ingarden norm strata in the poem "Doa Sebuah Pesolek" by Joko Pinurbo, especially in the sound stratum, meaning units, the represented object, the represented world, and metaphysical qualities. This research focuses on the interpretation and meaning of readers towards literary objects based on the five layers. Data collection techniques use reading techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques use content analysis, which is done by observing the contents of the poem to indicate 5 norm strata. The stages of data analysis begin with examining the ontology of the poem, analyzing the poem, and verifying the research results. The research findings show that each norm layer appears in an integrated manner and forms a complete meaning, and opens up new interpretations of the existential side of human life between the body, spiritual, and meaning of life.

Abstract

The phenomenon of social media talk about the ndasmu utterance raises the question of why it has become controversial. Through the pragmatics perspective, this study tries to analyze the speech using a qualitative approach. By collecting data through transcriptions of speeches uploaded on YouTube channels, the data analysis will identify the context, types of speech acts, and the politeness of the word ndasmu in the president's speech. In addition, it is supported by secondary data in the form of public responses in interpreting the speech. The analysis is based on Halliday's situational context theory and Searle's speech acts. The data findings show that the president's speech is an illocutionary speech act with an expressive-satirical form.
