Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profit function of potato farming in Kayu Aro Barat District, Kerinci Regency. Specifically, the study describes the characteristics of potato farming, calculates the profit obtained by farmers, and identifies the factors influencing profit levels. Data were collected through surveys using a simple random sampling method involving 62 potato farmers in the study area. The analysis employed includes cost and revenue analysis, income and profit calculation, as well as the estimation of the Cobb-Douglas profit function. The results show that potato farming production costs are dominated by seed, fertilizer, and labor expenses. The average revenue earned by farmers exceeds the total production cost, indicating that potato farming is profitable. Regression analysis reveals that seed prices, fertilizer prices, labor wages, and land rent costs significantly affect profit levels. The value of return to scale is in the condition of increasing return to scale (>1), indicating that the use of production inputs is not yet optimal and that profit can still be increased if inputs are managed more efficiently. Therefore, optimizing input allocation is necessary to maximize the profitability of potato farming in Kayu Aro Barat District.

Abstract

This study examines the feasibility of LaundryBox Branch 60 in Tanjungpinang based on market aspects using a marketing mix approach that includes product, price, place, and promotion. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, direct interviews with employees, and literature studies from secondary sources. The results of the analysis show that LaundryBox provides a variety of laundry services that suit the lifestyle of urban communities with high mobility, such as kilo laundry, single item laundry, and express services with varying completion times. Competitive pricing that is comparable to the quality of service, as well as a strategic location in the Tugu Pahlawan area, provide easy access for customers from various segments such as students, office workers, and young families. Digital promotion strategies through social media and membership programs effectively increase loyalty and expand market share. In addition, free pick-up and delivery services expand market reach and provide added value. Overall, LaundryBox is considered feasible from a market perspective and has strong growth prospects with good competitiveness in the Tanjungpinang area. Recommendations are given to strengthen digital promotion and service development for business sustainability.

Abstract

Getasblawong Village is one of the villages in the highlands that still depends on electricity from outside sources. The village is crossed by a river called Terong River (Kuto River Basin). The river can be used as a Mini Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) to meet the electricity needs of the village. This study evaluates the performance of power plants to obtain more effective results by assuming the same water drop height. In this study, the power output of the PLTMH will be determined, with supporting data including water discharge and headnet. The focus of this study is to evaluate the electrical energy potential of the PLTMH on the Terong River in Getas Blawong, Pageruyung District, Kendal Regency. The results of the study show that the Terong River has the potential to be utilized for power generation systems, with a water discharge of 2.7 m³/s and a headnet of 189 meters. In this case, the power plant can generate a potential power of 4.4 MW, or 2.2 MW per generator.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation process of learning strategies in the course Educational Service Marketing Management and to analyze students’ level of understanding after participating in learning activities throughout the semester. The project was carried out as part of the Field Study Program involving two classes, MPI 1 and MPI 2, in the third semester of the Islamic Education Management Study Program. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach supported by simple quantitative data derived from students’ quiz scores. Data were collected through classroom observation, documentation, analysis of assessment results, and student reflections. The learning strategies implemented included interactive lectures, group discussions, presentations, the use of educational institution case studies, and digital assessments through Quizizz. The findings show an improvement in students’ comprehension, indicated by an average quiz score of 75% in MPI 1 and 88% in MPI 2. However, several students remained passive during discussions and lacked a strong conceptual foundation related to educational marketing. Challenges included low participation in asking questions and limited initial understanding of educational branding.

Abstract

This community service program aims to introduce basic coding and simple algorithm concepts to fifth-grade students at SD Insan Prestasi through an unplugged learning approach that does not require computers. This approach was chosen to develop early computational thinking skills, particularly sequencing, pattern recognition, and logical problem-solving. The activity consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and reflection. During the preparation stage, the team provided instructional cards (move forward, backward, turn), game boards, arithmetic coding tasks, pattern-coding cards, picture coding sheets, and puzzle fragments as rewards. In the implementation stage, students completed three main games arithmetic coding, pattern coding, and picture coding combined with numbers. Each successfully completed game rewarded students with puzzle fragments, and the group that managed to assemble the complete puzzle became the winner. In the reflection stage, students discussed their strategies, identified errors, and connected their experiences to programming concepts such as sequencing, looping, and branching. The results indicate that students demonstrated improved logical reasoning, better understanding of instruction-result relationships, and increased engagement. The unplugged approach proved effective as an introductory method for aching coding and algorithmic thinking to elementary school students.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the “Hasil Sepakat” Women Farmers Group (KWT) in implementing the Integrated Crop Management (ICM) system in rice cultivation. The methods used included outreach, training, mentoring, and demonstration plots. The results showed an improvement in participants’ understanding of sustainable rice cultivation techniques, as evidenced by their active participation in discussions and their ability to apply the practical steps for producing botanical pesticides. In addition, an agricultural technology assistance package was provided to support the implementation of ICM. This activity contributed to the empowerment of women farmers and supported the regional food security program, increasing rice productivity to 8.5 tons/ha..

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of self-compassion in predicting resilience among individuals with physical disabilities. People with physical limitations often experience psychological stress, social challenges, and environmental barriers that may hinder their ability to adapt. Self-compassion, defined as treating oneself with kindness and without self-judgment, is believed to be an important internal factor that supports resilience in challenging situations. This research employed a quantitative approach with a linear regression design and involved 387 participants recruited through snowball sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian adaptations of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC 25) and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). The results indicate that self-compassion has a significant and positive effect on resilience (p < 0.05), contributing 73.6% to its variance. These findings suggest that higher levels of self-compassion are associated with greater resilience, enabling individuals with physical disabilities to cope with stress and adapt to their limitations more effectively.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a multidimensional problem that remains a serious issue in Indonesia, as indicated by the increasing prevalence of narcotics users and the high rate of relapse among former addicts after rehabilitation. One of the psychosocial interventions implemented by the National Narcotics Board (BNN) in addressing drug addiction is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), which focuses on cognitive restructuring and the modification of maladaptive behaviors. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of CBT in reducing relapse risk among drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation in North Sumatra. The study employed a quantitative approach using a true experimental design, specifically a pretest–posttest control group design. The participants consisted of seven residents with drug addiction at the Titian Harapan Indonesia Foundation, Deli Serdang Regency, who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Relapse risk was measured using the AWARE (Advance Warning of Relapse) scale before and after the CBT intervention, which was administered over five sessions. Data analysis was conducted using N-Gain score calculations. The results indicated a significant reduction in relapse risk scores among all participants, with an N-Gain value of -0.6583, which falls within the moderate category. These findings suggest that CBT is effective in reducing relapse risk by enhancing cognitive awareness of triggers, automatic thoughts, and emotional responses associated with addictive behavior. However, the moderate level of effectiveness indicates that CBT requires additional reinforcement, particularly in the form of practical and applicable coping skills, to enable participants to manage stress and high-risk situations independently in their daily lives.

Abstract

Program Penguatan Tata Kelola dan Strategi Bisnis pada BUMDes Mekar Sari Sedana Desa Siangan, Gianyar, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kelembagaan, kinerja operasional, dan daya saing unit usaha desa yang meliputi simpan pinjam, fotokopi dan alat tulis, serta penyediaan air bersih. Program ini dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi kendala utama BUMDes seperti sistem pencatatan keuangan manual yang sederhana, tata letak operasional kurang efisien, dan keterbatasan strategi pemasaran. Solusi yang diberikan mencakup pelatihan manajemen keuangan dan penerapan sistem pencatatan berbasis digital, Setelah kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dilaksanakan, adapun capaian yang dihasilkan adalah dokumen Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) kegiatan operasional dan keuangan, serta program pencatatan keuangan berbasis digital. Diharapkan, hasil ini dapat meningkatkan akurasi laporan keuangan, efisiensi operasional, dan memperluas jangkauan pemasaran, sehingga BUMDes Mekar Sari Sedana dapat tumbuh menjadi lembaga usaha yang profesional, transparan, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Online Gender-Based Violence is a form of cybercrime that has significantly increased in Indonesia and presents complex challenges for the national legal system. This issue is not only related to regulatory and law-enforcement aspects but also to social constructs influenced by cultural norms and patriarchal gender relations. In this context, a socio-legal study is needed to understand how social processes shape the meanings of “crime” and “victim” in OGBV cases and how these meanings affect criminalization and legal handling. This research aims to analyze the social construction of cybercrime, particularly OGBV, through the perspective of Berger and Luckmann’s social constructivism theory. The study employs a qualitative approach with a sociological-juridical method through legal document analysis and media discourse studies. The analysis examines how interactions among society, the media, and legal institutions influence the interpretation of perpetrators and victims within the context of gender-based digital violence. The findings show that the criminalization of OGBV perpetrators is not solely based on juridical aspects but is also a product of social constructions shaped by patriarchal values and gender bias. Responses to victims still face obstacles such as victim blaming and the low gender sensitivity of law-enforcement officers. In conclusion, law serves a dual function as both a product and an instrument of social construction. Therefore, gender-sensitive legal policies grounded in a constructivist perspective are needed to achieve substantive justice for OGBV victims.
