Abstract

The digital transformation of the accounting sector requires vocational students not only to understand theoretical concepts but also to develop proficiency in computerized accounting systems. However, instructional practices that treat learners uniformly often result in uneven learning outcomes, particularly in private vocational schools where student backgrounds vary significantly, such as those located in DKI Jakarta. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Differentiated Instruction in improving learning outcomes in the Computerized Accounting course. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental one group pretest–posttest design involving 36 eleventh-grade accounting students from a private vocational high school in DKI Jakarta. Data were collected through achievement tests, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ performance following the intervention, evidenced by an increase in mean scores and a reduction in performance disparities. These results confirm that tailoring instruction to students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles creates a more responsive and digitally aligned learning environment in vocational education. The study recommends the implementation of diagnostic assessments and flexible grouping in Computerized Accounting instruction and encourages further research using control groups and extended interventions to validate long-term effects.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has significantly influenced educational practices, particularly within adaptive learning systems at the secondary level. Although AI has demonstrated substantial potential in personalizing learning processes, its implementation in formal school settings remains constrained by multiple systemic challenges, including educator readiness and infrastructural disparities. This study aims to identify integration patterns of AI in adaptive learning, examine the evolving role of teachers, and explore obstacles and prerequisites for AI adoption in secondary education. Employing a literature review method, this research synthesizes relevant scholarly publications from the past decade and conducts thematic interpretation to uncover current trends in AI utilization. The findings reveal that AI facilitates personalization by adjusting content, pacing, and feedback based on learner profiles, while simultaneously redefining teachers as facilitators of data-driven instruction. Nonetheless, AI adoption continues to be hindered by limited infrastructure, inadequate policy support, and uneven digital competencies among educators. The study concludes that AI integration represents a systemic educational transformation requiring institutional readiness rather than a mere technological add-on. Further empirical research is recommended to validate implementation models across diverse school contexts.

Abstract

This study examines how Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) internalize Islamic values within a multicultural social environment in Bali, Indonesia, where Muslims constitute a minority group. The research addresses the limited empirical understanding of pesantren-based value education in minority-Muslim contexts characterized by strong cultural and religious diversity. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with pesantren leaders, teachers, and students, as well as document analysis of curricula and institutional educational policies. The findings indicate that Islamic values are primarily internalized through daily educational practices, habituation, and educators’ role modeling rather than through formal instruction alone. Pesantren employ adaptive educational strategies that emphasize universal ethical values such as tolerance, respect, and peaceful coexistence, enabling students to engage constructively within Bali’s multicultural society. These strategies contribute to observable changes in students’ social attitudes and behaviors, reflecting the development of inclusive and context-sensitive religious understanding. Although this study is limited by its focus on a specific sociocultural setting, the findings provide important insights into the role of pesantren as agents of character formation and religious moderation in plural societies.

Abstract

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education has introduced substantial changes in governance, instructional processes, and institutional strategies, highlighting the need for a comprehensive understanding of its implications for strategic educational management. This study aims to examine how digital transformation influences managerial paradigms within higher education institutions. A qualitative approach was employed using a literature review design that examined empirical studies, qualitative research, quasi-experimental work, and systematic reviews published within the last decade. Data were analyzed thematically to identify recurring patterns across the literature. The findings indicate that digitalization strengthens data-driven management practices, enhances instructional effectiveness through LMS, hybrid learning, and learning analytics, and drives structural changes in institutional governance. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited digital competence, issues of data ethics and privacy, and uneven organizational readiness remain significant barriers. The study concludes that digital transformation holds considerable potential to improve management quality and learning processes yet requires comprehensive institutional strategies to ensure sustainable implementation. These findings offer meaningful contributions to the development of adaptive educational management in the digital era.

Abstract

This study is rooted in the growing recognition that health within educational settings is not merely a physical condition but a socially constructed reality shaped through institutional interactions, cultural norms, and school policies. The aim of this research is to examine how meanings of health are constructed, reproduced, and interpreted by members of the school community. A qualitative descriptive approach with a narrative literature review design was employed to collect, synthesize, and critically analyze scholarly publications from the last decade related to school health, student wellbeing, and health literacy. Thematic analysis was used to identify central patterns and conceptual themes across the literature. Findings indicate that school climate, social relationships, family involvement, and pedagogical practices play essential roles in shaping students’ understanding of health, while structural barriers such as limited resources, unequal service provision, and weak program coordination—hinder the development of comprehensive health cultures in schools. The study concludes that health in education is a socially negotiated construct requiring holistic, collaborative, and sustained approaches. These insights contribute theoretically to social construction literature and offer practical recommendations for strengthening school health policy and practice.
