Abstract

Business planning is an instrument that helps companies develop and manage theirbusiness better. CV Bersama Jaya is a business engaged in the printing of food and beverage packaging. According to the company’s record for the period 2020-2023, its sales has significantly decreased since the Covid-19 pandemic. The condition did not improve since then, allegedly due to suboptimal marketing strategies. This study evaluates the business condition of CV Bersama Jaya by conducting analyses on the production, human resource, market, marketing, financial, and external condition aspects and performs SWOT analysis based on the data acquired from observations and interviews with the business owner. It was found that the main problems are in marketing strategies and human resource. The company does not sufficiently use social media for marketing and increasing customer engagement and has not provided adequate education for its human resource, about the importance of customer engagement. The objective of this qualitative descriptive research-and-development study is to provide strategic solutions for the company’s development in the aspects of marketing, human resource development, and production. The outcomes are plans for new marketing strategies, changes in organizational structure by adding employees, application of customer engagement, renewal of production machineries, and financial and investment projection using NPV, IRR, and payback period methods.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify the effects of remote working on employee performance and the influence of job satisfaction as an intervening variable in the relationship between remote working and employee performance in the context of fintech companies in Indonesian. Using purposive sampling technique, 125 people who live in Indonesia and work remotely for fintech companies were selected as the respondents of this quantitative explanatory research. The data was harvested from questionnaires and was examined using descriptive analysis and path analysis. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t-test. All of the statistical analysis was performed in IBM SPSS 29. This study finds that remote working significantly affects employee performance and that job satisfaction mediates the impact of remote working on employee performance.

Abstract

The expedition industry in Indonesia has experienced very significant development in recent years, this has made companies compete to win market share. Improving employee performance is one aspect that companies can use to win market share. This research aims to explain the influence of organizational culture on employee performance which is mediated by job satisfaction at Expedition Companies in Pekanbaru. This type of research is explanatory research using a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability using a purposive sampling technique. The sample used was 157 people and analyzed using Path Analysis with SmartPLS 3.0 software by utilizing inner and outer model testing. The characteristics of the respondents studied were that they were permanent or contract employees at an Expedition Company in Pekanbaru who were still active, domiciled in Pekanbaru and at least 17 years old. The data collection method uses a questionnaire which is measured using a Likert scale. The results of this research show that organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance which is mediated by job satisfaction.

Abstract

Bumbu Bu Erna is an MSME in Probolinggo Regency that have been producing and selling ready-to-use cooking spices and herbs for ten years. The foci of this study are analyzing the branding strategy and developing the said business. The purposes of branding strategy are creating differences and providing added value to certain products. Using quantitative approach, this study identifies key factors for the company’s performance and the market acceptance toward the products of Bumbu Bu Erna. The results of the analysis suggest that the application of effective and innovative branding strategies can increase consumer’s brand awareness and preference. In addition, comprehensive evaluations on the current business conditions can provide insights for product developments and service improvements to meet the growing market demands.

Abstract

Understanding the factors that influence employee performance is critical for organizational success. This study examines the impact of the physical workplace environment and job stress on TVRI Central Java employees’ performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory approach was used, involving all 162 employees, with data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 29. The analysis included path analysis and hypothesis testing.The findings show that: (1) the physical workplace environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; (2) job stress positively influences job satisfaction; (3) the physical workplace environment does not directly affect employee performance; (4) job stress does not directly impact employee performance; (5) job satisfaction positively affects employee performance; (6) the physical workplace environment indirectly affects performance through job satisfaction; (7) job stress also indirectly affects performance through job satisfaction.This research provides new insights into the role of workplace factors and stress in shaping employee performance, highlighting the importance of managing the physical environment and stress to improve organizational outcomes.

Abstract

The competition in food industry amid the raw material scarcity nowadays has urged operational managers to design more efficient production processes. Gapura, an SME in Batu City, is a home industry that produces five variants of fruit chips in several package sizes. Its production process is still hampered by unspecified layout arrangements, which prevents the attainment of maximum production line efficiency. the objective of this research is to identify the groupings of working elements and the efficiency of the fruit chips production in Gapura. Here line balancing method was used to analyze the production efficiency. The data of this quantitative descriptive study was harvested from observations, interviews, and documentation on the related object. This study finds that the production process in the enterprise has not applied the line balancing concept. In fact, the application of this method can reduce balance delay by 15.7% and increase line efficiency by 15.7%.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of the application of Work From Home (WFH) policy and Work-Life Balance on employee performance at the Corporate Human Capital and Corporate University (CHCU) division of PT United Tractors Tbk. The population of this explanatory research is 40 permanent employees of the said division. Using saturated or total sampling, all of them were involved as the respondents. This research uses primary and secondary data harvested from Likert-scaled questionnaires and interviews with senior employees with the status of team leader; the analyses of which were performed in SPSS version 27. This study finds that (1) the application of WFH policy positively and significantly influences employee performance, (2) that WLB level has positive and significant effects on employee performance, and that (3) WFH policy and WLB simultaneously have a significant impact on the performance of CHCU division employees of PT United Tractors Tbk with the coefficient of determination (R2) of 84.9%. Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of employee wellbeing program, work motivation, and work discipline on employee productivity. This study was conducted at the branch office of PT X. This quantitative explanatory study uses questionnaires as the main data collecting instrument. Incorporating saturated sampling technique, all members of the population, which is employees of the branch office of PT X, were involved as the respondents. The data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression in SPSS 27.0 for MacOS. The results indicate that (1) the employee wellbeing program significantly and positively influences the employee productivity, (2) that work motivation significantly and positively affects the employee productivity, and that (3) work discipline also significantly and positively impacts the employee productivity.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there is a phenomenon that occurs, namely a de-crease in employee performance, especially in the production division. The purpose of this study was to test and determine the effect of job training and compensation on the per-formance of production division employees. This type of research is included in the type of explanatory research or research that explains the causal relationship between several var-iables through hypothesis testing with quantitative analysis methods. This study has a population of 70 respondents with a sample size of 70 respondents with a sampling tech-nique that is saturated sample. The test tool used to test this research tool is multiple linear regression analysis supported by validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing with the help of the SPSS version 25.0 programme. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the job training variable has a significant and posi-tive effect on employee performance partially, then the compensation variable has a sig-nificant and positive effect on employee performance partially. And the variable relation-ship between job training and compensation together can significantly and positively af-fect employee performance variables.

Abstract

Purpose – The objectives of this research are to analyze a break-even point and to design earnings plan and sales plan for more effective sales and production.   Design/methodology/approach – The object of this quantitative case study is ASA, a school uniform and ready-to-wear clothing manufacturing company located in Payakumbuh City of West Sumatra. The data was harvested via observations, interviews, and document studies and was processed using time-series analysis, trend analysis, and BEP analysis.  Findings – This study finds that ASA was successful in selling above its break-point in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023. The company could meet its earnings plan and sales plan in 2022 and 2023. Originality/value – The practical implementation of this study is that the company's management must always consider and analyze its break-even point to make sure that the business strategies it applies remain relevant with its financial objectives. The company is also suggested to run anticipative plans in case the occurrence of abnormal conditions in order to ensure its sustainability and stability.
