The objective of this research is to identify the effects of social media addiction and job stress on the work productivity of Generation Z.  Design/methodology/approach – This quantitative explanatory study involved 239 Generation Z employees across Indonesia, selected using a convenience sampling method. Data were collected using Likert-scaled questionnaires and analyzed with PLS-SEM in SmartPLS 3.0 to assess the measurement model, structural model, and overall model fit. Findings – The results show that social media addiction has a significant negative effect on work productivity, while job stress does not have a significant direct impact. Interestingly, mild stress conditions are perceived by respondents as a motivational factor that can enhance productivity. Originality/value – This study provides new empirical evidence on the influence of social media addiction and job stress on the productivity of Generation Z employees in Indonesia. It offers a generational and contextual perspective from a developing country, highlighting how digital behavior and workplace dynamics shape modern employee performance.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effects of work environment, work discipline, and work stress on employee performance at PT Waleta Asia Jaya Salatiga. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employs a quantitative explanatory research design to investigate the relationships among the research variables through hypothesis testing. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 176 employees selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 29 to determine the direct effects of work environment, work discipline, and work stress on employee performance. Findings – The results indicate that work environment and work discipline have positive and significant effects on employee performance, whereas work stress has a negative and significant effect. The model explains 62.2% of the variance in employee performance (Adjusted R² = 0.622), indicating that these three factors substantially contribute to performance, while the remaining 37.8% is explained by other variables outside the research model. These findings suggest that organizations can improve employee performance by fostering a supportive work environment, strengthening work discipline, and implementing effective stress management practices.   Originality/Value This research is original in integrating work environment, work discipline, and work stress into a single empirical model within the same organizational setting. The findings provide practical value by offering evidence-based recommendations for managers to optimize workplace conditions and reduce stress to improve employee performance.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze product defects in the MSG production process at PT Ajinomoto Tbk Mojokerto and identify appropriate improvement strategies to enhance production quality, efficiency, and consistency. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study applies the DMAIC Six Sigma methodology, consisting of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control stages. Defect identification was conducted using the Critical to Quality (CTQ) tree, while defect capability was measured using Pareto Chart analysis and Defect per Million Opportunity (DPMO). The causes of defects were analyzed using Pareto Charts and Fishbone diagrams, followed by Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to determine the priority causes requiring improvement actions. Findings – The results identify three main types of MSG production defects: hopper jamming, broken MSG packaging, and product spillage. The FMEA analysis reveals that broken packaging and product spillage are primarily caused by inadequate monitoring and insufficient routine maintenance. The proposed improvement strategies include revising standard operating procedures (SOPs), increasing machinery maintenance frequency, and implementing continuous improvement activities to ensure better production process control and defect reduction. Originality/Value This research is original in integrating DMAIC Six Sigma with FMEA to systematically identify root causes of defects in the MSG production process. The findings provide practical value by offering structured improvement alternatives to reduce defects through better monitoring, maintenance, and standard operating procedures.

Abstract

Purpose – The growing consumer awareness of environmental issues has driven companies to adopt more environmentally responsible business strategies. This research aims to describe the implementation of green marketing strategies by Curcuma Plus, a well-known children’s multivitamin brand, and assess their impact on the brand’s sustainability.  Design/methodology/approach – The data for this qualitative descriptive study were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis.      Findings – The findings indicate that Curcuma Plus has achieved a "greener" status by balancing business interests with environmental commitments through a "shaded green" approach. Although the green market segment remains relatively small, Curcuma Plus has successfully differentiated itself by enhancing its green attributes, notably its high-quality products. Furthermore, green initiatives have been incorporated into the four elements of the marketing mix. That are product, price, place, and promotion. Despite the ongoing challenges, implementing these strategies enabled the brand to strengthened its market position and added value, reflected in improved consumer loyalty, enhanced brand image, and expanded market share. This research provides practical insight for companies to adopt comprehensive green marketing strategies. Originality/value – This study offers original insight into the application of green marketing strategies within the children’s multivitamin industry, a relatively underexplored sector. By highlighting the “shaded green” approach and its integration into the four elements of the marketing mix, this research demonstrates how environmental commitment can enhance brand sustainability and competitive advantage.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to identify the product attributes that most influence customer satisfaction and purchasing decisions and to provide recommendations for improving Muslimah dress products at Nym Collection using the Kano model and a product quality approach.   Design/Methodology/Approach – A quantitative survey design was employed. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a five-point Kano evaluation scale comprising 10 functional and 10 dysfunctional questions representing 10 product attributes. The population consisted of 250 customers who had purchased Muslimah dresses within the previous six months. Using the Slovin formula and random sampling, 154 respondents were selected. Instrument validity and reliability were tested, and the data were analyzed using the Kano model to classify product attributes based on their impact on customer satisfaction.   Findings – The results indicate that four attributes are classified as One-dimensional: the latest dress models, unique and attractive designs, a wide variety of dress models, and high-quality stitching. These attributes have the greatest influence on customer satisfaction and should be prioritized for product development. The remaining six attributes are classified as Indifferent, indicating that they have relatively little impact on customer satisfaction. The Kano satisfaction graph further confirms that emphasizing One-dimensional attributes can enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen the competitiveness of Nym Collection in the Muslimah fashion market.   Originality/Value This research offers originality by applying the Kano model specifically to Muslimah dress products, a segment that is still limited in empirical studies. The findings provide practical value by guiding fashion businesses in prioritizing product attributes that most effectively increase customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
