Abstract

The study aims to provide an applied study of the mechanisms of the social curriculum using the religious text "Surah Youssef/Yusuf" as a model, with guiding considerations respecting the specificity and sanctity of the Koranic text, to provide a clear understanding of the story of Joseph "Allah peace" in the Holy Koran and to highlight its social semantics. The research also aims to learn about the social classes in "Yusuf Hizbul Peace" society, as well as the many types of caste conflict and its impact on Egyptian society. The study’s findings demonstrated the efficiency of using the social curriculum to highlight the unique characteristics of Egyptian society: their behaviors, values, and social phenomena, and providing logical analytical interpretations of the character's behavior in the story "Yusuf Alayhi al-Salam." Focusing on the linguistic part of the word revealed social connotations that highlighted the meaning and orientation of speech since it contains a variety of social values related to religion, culture, morals, and humans.

Abstract

The preservation and conservation of the Arabic language are vital efforts, as demonstrated by various initiatives such as the development of the Arabic script system, the compilation of Islamic sciences' rules, dictionary creation, and the establishment of Arabic language institutions. These endeavors form the foundation for maintaining the relevance and sustainability of the Arabic language in the modern era. This article explores the origins and evolution of the Arabic script, tracing its roots from ancient scripts to the development of various calligraphic styles like Kufic and Naskh. It discusses significant reforms, including the introduction of diacritical marks and vowel signs to enhance readability and comprehension, addressing challenges such as varied pronunciation due to the absence of vowels in the written form. The paper also proposes solutions to these challenges, emphasizing early Arabic education and the integration of modern teaching tools to facilitate language learning and comprehension. Ultimately, the collective responsibility to preserve Arabic language and culture underscores the importance of these efforts in an ever-evolving modern context.

Abstract

Arabic is regarded as a foreign language by the majority of Indonesians, and students often find it challenging to learn. To enhance students' Arabic language skills, cooperative learning models such as Think-Pair-Share (TPS) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) have been implemented. This study utilizes a library research method to gather theoretical support for the effectiveness of these models. The TPS and NHT approaches have been shown to improve students' proficiency in Arabic. Research findings indicate that students respond positively to these methods, as they foster an active, enjoyable, and collaborative learning environment. Observations reveal a significant enhancement in students' skills upon the implementation of TPS and NHT. These results demonstrate that TPS and NHT are effective strategies for teaching Arabic and have the potential for broader application in foreign language education.
