Kalimatuna: Journal Of Arabic Research
Kalimatuna: Journal of Arabic Research is a forum for Arabic education researchers, intellectuals, and practitioners to publish and disseminate their original research and studies. The journal is published online by the Department of Arabic Education (PBA) of the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in partnership with PP-PBA (Association of Arabic Education Departments), PPJKBA Indonesia (Association of Arabic Journal Managers), and IMLA (Arabic Teachers Association of Indonesia). The primary scope and focus of the journal include: Alquran and Arabic language; Arabic linguistics studies in micro and macro terms; Balagah or Arabic stylistic; Language acquisitions of Arabic language; Pedagogical Arabic instructional as a foreign language and for non-native speaker; Policies on Arabic teaching. Kalimatuna: Journal of Arabic Research is published twice a year. Editors welcome scholars, researchers and practitioners of Arabic Education to submit scholarly articles to be published through this journal. All articles will be reviewed by experts before accepted for publication.

<![CDATA[This research aims to develop the Tik Tok application as a relevant alternative media for students in developing Speaking Skills at Ma’arif University Lampung in Linguistic Exercises course by providing themes and assignments that have been determined by the lecturer. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, data and information are collecting using the Miles and Huberman Model, namely by using data reduction. This article aims to describe the use of Tik Tok media in the Linguistic Exercises course as well as student perceptions regarding its use. Based on the results of questionnaire, 22 students gave very positive responses. That Tik Tok is one of the media in Speaking Skills learning which has a positive value with various advantages which are easy, flexible, cheap, economical and can be increase student creativity, as well as increasing performance and self-confidence in speaking Arabic.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the important elements of mastering Arabic is memorizing vocabulary. This is because vocabulary is related to the four language skills. The main impediment to learning Arabic motivation is a lack of vocabulary mastery. This study focuses on the description of the HelloTalk application in learning Arabic, especially in teaching vocabulary. This research covers the advantages and disadvantages of the HelloTalk application as a means of learning vocabulary. A qualitative approach and the application of triangulation are used to verify the data obtained. The data collection method used was observation and interviews to investigate the practice of teaching vocabulary in the HelloTalk application. The data analysis technique used in this research uses the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of the processes of data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The involvement of multiple instruments and participants makes the HelloTalk application review more comprehensive. HelloTalk as a learning tool that is popular and effective in learning vocabulary must be further developed so that the potential for language learning is increased and made more useful.]]>

<![CDATA[The most important aspect in understanding fiqh is the study of Arabic language (linguistics). Linguistics includes principles relating to the way words convey their meaning, clarity, ambiguity and interpretation. The existence of terms that have lughah and syaraʻ meaning in Fath al-Muʻin attracts researcher to examine them further through semantic studies. This research focuses its discussion on terms that are defined with the lughah and syaraʻ meaning in Fath al-Muʻin, Toshihiko Izutsu's semantic analysis is used to identify the basic meaning, relational meaning and weltanschauung that apply therein. The results show that the lughah meaning is in line with what Izutsu calls basic meaning, and the syaraʻ meaning is in line with what is called relational meaning. Of course, syaraʻ (fiqh) is a relational context, because syaraʻ is smaller than the relational meaning which is more flexible depending on the context being discussed. The weltanschauung that operates is the weltanschauung fiqh, which means that the terms with the definitions of lughah and syaraʻ must be understood in the context of the fiqh worldview.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by Sayyid Qutub’s assumption in his book (Fii Zilaal Al-Qur’an) that meaningful cohesion study has been carried out in the Al-Qur’an, but has not been studied literally and lexically. There was the impression that the lexical cohesion was the important thing to understand the meaning of Al-Qur’an. Lexical cohesion is a cohesion that associated with meaning and formed by the semantic relationship between another lexicon. In addition to the researcher chose the Surah Al-Qiyamah as the object of research to analyze the lexical cohesion devices that contained in Surah Al-Qiyamah by using Halliday and Ruqaiya’s theory of lexical cohesion. Halliday and Ruqaiya see lexical cohesion as being formed of two aspects: reiteration (repitition, synonym, antonym, hyponym) and collocation. Therefore, this research is trying to answer how many devices of lexical cohesion are contained in Surah Al-Qiyamah. ]]>

<![CDATA[Quantum Learning model is a learning model that can increase student interest, because it can create a comfortable atmosphere and is not easily boring, and teachers are not fixated on monotonous learning and LKS books, the sample of this study is at MA NU Sunan Giri Prigen, especially class X IIS students totaling 20 students. This type of research uses survey research with quantitative methods, data collection is carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires or questionnaires and documentation, while the results obtained from taking the data are high categories of student interest in learning Arabic, with an average percentage of 60%, and has a percentage of 71.2% for the strong influence on quantum learning models on student interest. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the quantum learning model on the interest of class X IIS students at MA NU Sunan Giri Prigen is said to be influential and proven effective.]]>

<![CDATA[This study departs from the problem of decreasing motivation to learn Arabic and the lack of effective learning techniques used by teachers in learning. This study aims to obtain an overview of increasing motivation to learn Arabic with assignment-based learning. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method with the theory of Kemmis & MC Tagrt with a sample of 20 people. In each cycle, this research is focused on obtaining data on increasing motivation to learn Arabic for the fifth grade students of MIS Nurul Huda Caringin Bogor for the 2022/2023 academic year by using assignment-based learning. The data collection technique used is the distribution of questionnaires and questionnaires. Analysis of this research data with combined analysis, namely the quantitative technique based on the average score of the motivation questionnaire and the questionnaire score, while the qualitative technique is based on the description of the results of the analysis of the average score of the motivation questionnaire and the questionnaire score. The results of this study will prove that this assignment technique can increase the motivation to learn Arabic for the fifth grade students of MIS Nurul Huda Caringin-Bogor.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to find out whether the skills of listening and reading Arabic texts possessed by female students at the Islamic boarding school have an influence on their ability to write Arabic. After the researchers conducted quantitative research, using data collection techniques in the form of tests, observation and documentation. The results obtained were that the influence of listening skills on writing had a calculated r value (0.513) greater than r table (with a value of 0.216) with a significance of 5%, so it was stated that listening skills had a medium level influence on writing skills. Meanwhile, regarding the influence of reading skills on writing, it is stated that rcount (with a value of 0.385) is slightly greater than rtable (with a value of 0.216) with a significance of 5%, so it is stated that writing skills have a weak level of influence on writing skills.]]>

<![CDATA[The researcher chose this topic because teaching speaking skill didn’t success in promote students’ competence in speaking. One of the problems is the lack of dialogue exercises material, which leads to a lack of opportunity in doing conversation, especially about health. There are no abstract materials and patterns of expressions of health. The research aims to develop speaking materials based on language functions about health. The researcher used R&D method with a qualitative approach. Its use the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research shows that: (1) the speaking materials based on language functions about health supports in teaching speaking skill contains four materials: vocabulary, listening, speaking, and grammar. (2) The developed materials show their quality after being assessed by the expert in "Very Good” grade.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to obtain a clear description of the kinds of human values and nationalism contained in Ibrahim Tuqan's poetry. This research uses a descriptive method through content analysis. This research is focused on the values of humanity and nationalism contained in Ibrahim Tuqan's poetry. The research instrument was the researchers themselves assisted by three classification tables. The first table contains the analysis column of Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic study which consists of icons, indexes, and symbols. Then the second table contains an analysis of human values in Ibrahim Tuqan's poetry. Then the third table contains an analysis of the values of nationalism in Ibrahim Tuqan's poetry.]]>
