Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of self-efficacy on gender roles among psychology students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang in campus organizations. This research used a quantitative approach and a causal-comparative research design. Causal-comparative research is used to examine the cause-and-effect relationship between two variables where the independent variable has already occurred and cannot be manipulated by the researcher. The independent variable in this study is self-efficacy, while the dependent variable is gender roles. The population in this study is psychology students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, and a sample of 30 active students participating in campus organizations was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, and data analysis was performed using simple linear regression analysis to test the influence of self-efficacy on gender roles. The collected data were analyzed using statistical software such as SPSS. The results indicate a strong correlation between self-efficacy and gender roles (R = 0.957), and the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.917, indicating a strong influence of self-efficacy on gender roles. The decision-making based on the significance value (0.000 < 0.05) and t-value (17.544 > 2.048) shows that self-efficacy has a significant influence on gender roles. The regression equation is Y = 1.951 + 0.922X, where the constant (a) is 1.951, and the coefficient of self-efficacy (b) is 0.922, indicating that an increase in self-efficacy by 1% leads to an increase in gender roles by 0.922. These findings suggest that peer and mentor support can enhance self-efficacy and participation of female students in campus organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of emotional maturity and the level of aggression at the Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Where the subjects we are looking for ourselves from the 2021 class of psychology faculty students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Aggression Behavior itself is an act which aims to hurt someone either psychologically or physically. This aggression behavior is carried out by people who do not have emotional maturity where they often experience certain emotions such as angry emotions. The research method we conducted was a quantitative method using a cross sectional design. The sample we took amounted to 33 respondents from the Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The correlation coefficient (r) is 0.115 with a significance of 0.524. Variable X to variable Y has a correlation with the degree of relationship, namely moderate correlation and the form of the relationship is positive because p < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). So it can be concluded that emotional maturity and aggression have a strong correlation. This research is reinforced by research conducted that there is a negative and significant relationship between emotional maturity and aggression behavior of residents of the Ayu Sempaja Samarinda Dormitory Complex, meaning that the lower the emotional maturity of dormitory residents, the higher the aggressive behavior they have. Thus it can also be concluded that the hypothesis (H1) proposed in this study can be accepted.

Abstract

Bullying has become a global problem that is often encountered and faced by many people, especially teenagers, both as perpetrators of bullying and victims of bullying behavior. Bullying is a form of behavior that occurs repeatedly by means of physical harm and mentally carried out by a child or a group of children against other children. Bullying incidents faced by adolescents can have an impact on adolescent self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is the ability of a person or individual in completing tasks or problems so that they can achieve goals in overcoming obstacles experienced. Adolescents with high self-efficacy have the confidence and ability to solve problems with effective performance control. This research was conducted with the aim of seeing whether there is an influence between bullying behavior and self-efficacy in fourth semester students at the psychology faculty of Uin Raden Fatah University, Palembang. This study also uses a quantitative method with survey techniques, namely filling out questionnaires by giving several questions online to 38 respondents. There were 8 male respondents and 30 female respondents with an age range of 18-22 years. The respondents taken were 4th semester students of the Faculty of Psychology at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between bullying behavior and self-efficacy is very significant and interconnected, which in Table 1.1 shows that between bullying behavior and self-efficacy there is a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.496 with a significance of 0.002. This research is strengthened by research conducted by Laurensia, Jenita Serangana et al (2021) showed the significance between bullying behavior and self-efficacy in adolescents. These results were supported by findings showing that 55 (27.5%) respondents received low bullying treatment and high self-efficacy, and 73 (36.5%) respondents received high bullying treatment and low efficacy.

Abstract

Problems Children are important members of the family. When children are present in the midst of the family, parents definitely want their children to develop normally, so parents have their own way of treating children. There are also parents who give freedom to children, there are also parents who give freedom to children but still provide control, and there are also parents who indulge in protecting children excessively by providing protection against physical and psychological disturbances and harm, until the child does not reach freedom, the behavior of the parents is called overprotective, with the reason that the child does not experience harm. Many parents intentionally or unintentionally behave over protective. The method used in this study is a qualitative correlation with the data collection technique used, namely a scale questionnaire. The data obtained through the use of questionnaires is data that is classified as factual data. The results of the study based on the line test table 0.01 can be interpreted as significant, because it is smaller than 0.05 and the significant value for the deviation from linearity is 0.052, so it can be interpreted as a significance value greater than 0.05, so from this it can be concluded that the relationship between adjustment variables and parents' overprotective behavior has a linear relationship so that it can also be said that the linearity test is fulfilled in this study.
