EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of tin mining activities and the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by PT Timah Tbk in Muntok District. Tin mining contributes significantly to the local economy but also causes various negative impacts on the environment and the social structure of the community. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling and the distribution of questionnaires to 99 households involved in CSR programs. The results indicate that although PT Timah’s CSR programs have been implemented through three main pillars, Micro and Small Business Financing (PUMK), environmental development, and community empowerment, there are still numerous challenges. These include repetitive programs, limited community participation, weak evaluation and transparency systems, and the lack of a needs-based approach. These findings suggest the need for a more participatory, structured, and sustainable CSR model to offset the negative effects of mining activities and promote a more equitable community-based development. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the importance of CSR policy reform in the mining sector that is adaptive to local contexts.

Abstract

  Caregivers of people with dementia (ODD) are often associated with heavy emotional, physical, and social burdens. However, several studies have shown that caregivers can also find positive meaning in the experience through the process of seeking meaning. This study aims to explore the positive aspects experienced by caregivers and the meanings formed during the caregiving process of individuals with dementia (ODD) through qualitative methods using a descriptive phenomenological approach. Eleven participants participated in a seven-day writing intervention involving seeking meaning. Data were analyzed using reflective thematic analysis. The results identified six main themes: (1) personal growth, (2) spiritual growth, (3) strengthening relationships, (4) appreciation for life, (5) meaning in the caregiving process, and (6) increased competence and mastery of caregiving skills. These findings suggest that reflective writing can facilitate the process of constructing positive meaning in the caregiving experience. Although some participants indicated limitations in writing, the writing intervention, based on seeking meaning, still holds potential as a simple, cost-effective, and flexible approach that can be delivered from anywhere. However, its comfort can be enhanced through combination with individual or group mentoring, tailored to the preferences of families caring for individuals with ODD.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is a crucial element in maintaining employee productivity and loyalty, particularly in a dynamic logistics sector like PT Tiki JNE. Motivation and hygiene factors from Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory are believed to significantly influence job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the influence of these two factors on job satisfaction of permanent employees in the Central Inbound Department of PT Tiki JNE Jakarta, while also addressing the gap in the literature regarding the application of this theory in the context of the Indonesian logistics industry. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive-correlational approach. It was conducted in the Central Inbound Division of PT Tiki JNE, Garuda Kemayoran branch, Central Jakarta. A total sample of 40 permanent employees (saturated sample) was selected. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire based on Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS with validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and multiple linear regression testing techniques to determine the effect of motivational and hygiene factors on job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The results of the study showed that motivational and hygiene factors, as outlined in Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory, simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction for permanent employees in the Central Inbound Department of PT Tiki JNE Jakarta. Motivational factors such as achievement, recognition, responsibility, and self-development contribute to increasing job satisfaction, while hygiene factors such as company policies, supervision, and working conditions help prevent dissatisfaction. A strategic combination of increasing motivation and fulfilling hygiene factors is considered essential for creating a productive and sustainable work environment. These findings confirm the relevance of Herzberg's theory in the logistics context and the importance of a holistic approach to human resource management.

Abstract

                This study was conducted with the aim of finding out simple behavioral deviations in adolescents in Tomuan Village. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with 4 adolescents in the Permata community aged 13-18 years in Tomuan, East Siantar District. The data obtained in this study was measured using data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. Data are analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The results of this study show that there are three deviations of polite behavior in adolescents in Tomuan village, namely: 1) deviations in polite behavior in speaking by speaking several rude languages such as the words anjir, bachelor, bodat with fellow socialization, but if talking to parents, still prioritize polite grammar, 2) deviations in dressing behavior by using impolite clothes such as wearing tread clothes,    Mini skirts, mini pants, wearing shirts without buttons closed, because as they say dress as they are their custom due to the development of the times and 3) deviations in behavior or manners or behavior with the rarity of teenagers saying thank you, apologizing, or helping others. As for the factors that cause deviations in polite behavior in adolescents are external factors and internal factors, it is known that these two factors play a major role in changes in polite behavior in speech, dress and behavior in adolescent behavior or behavior. Because of these external factors and internal factors, adolescents meet new people who all have different polite behaviors, so if there is only one different polite behavior of adolescents, it can make adolescents follow new things they see and hear.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Digital Curation learning model in the PPG Information System of Arts and Culture which functions to organize, manage, and present student works in an integrated manner. The main problem raised is the lack of a structured learning system in archiving and exhibiting students' works digitally as part of the reflective and curatorial learning process. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which focuses on the initial three stages: Analysis, Design, and Development. In the analysis stage, a needs study was carried out through observation, interviews, and analysis of learning documents, which shows the importance of digital curation learning in the context of art. The design stage produces a design of a digital curation-based learning model that includes the flow of curatorial activities, a digital platform for work archives, and learning reflection instruments. In the development stage, an initial prototype of a web-based digital system was developed that allows students to systematically upload, organize, and present works with tagging, cataloging, and multimedia presentation features. The results of the development show that this model has the potential to support students' digital literacy skills, work documentation, and visual communication in an integrative manner.

Abstract

This study focuses on determining whether the use of letter card learning media has an effect on the reading skills of grade I students in Indonesian language at SD N Joglo No. 76 Surakarta in 2025. This quantitative investigation applied a Quasi-Experimental Design in the form of a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. All grade I students at SD N Joglo 76 Surakarta in the 2025 academic year served as the population in this study. The sampling method used was total sampling, with 27 grade IA students as participants. The information gathering process involved observation, documentation, and testing. The analysis of the research data revealed a hypothesis test result with a calculated t-value of 5.104. The t-table value at 26 degrees of freedom (i.e., 27-1) and a significance level of 5% was 2.056. The normality test results showed that the calculated t-value (5.104) exceeded the t-table value (2.056), thus Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. This research also found a change in the average student interest in learning from 65.07 (at the initial stage) to 81.63 (at the final stage). Therefore, it can be concluded that letter cards as a learning medium impacted the reading skills of first-grade students in Indonesian language learning at SD N Joglo No. 76 Surakarta in 2025.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning model based on Learning Management System (LMS) that is integrated with gamification strategies and TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) content to be used in making educational games for students of the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) of Cultural Arts. The main goal of this development is to accelerate students' technological literacy and pedagogy to be able to design and produce educational games that are relevant to the context of art learning. The model was developed using the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, but only focused on the initial three stages, namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The analysis stage was carried out to identify learning needs and map the level of digital literacy and pedagogic of students. The design stage includes designing the learning model structure, gamification elements, and TPACK-based content integration. While the development stage involves the creation of a gamified LMS prototype and validation tests by subject matter experts, media experts, and limited users. The results of the development show that t(Prasetyo dkk., 2024)his learning model is feasible to be implemented and received a positive response from PPG Arts and Culture students. The resulting model not only enriches the digital learning experience, but also improves students' ability to design educational games based on art and culture in a contextual and technology-integrated manner.

Abstract

This study explores the potential of sambal roa as an innovative culinary product in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. Sambal roa, made from smoked roa fish and local spices, offers a unique flavor that aligns with the rising consumer interest in practical and authentic spicy condiments. Using a qualitative method involving observations and surveys in local markets, the study analyzes consumer awareness, taste preferences, and purchase intentions. Findings reveal a strong interest in sambal roa among Sidoarjo consumers, particularly those aged 20–50, due to its practicality, distinctive aroma, and spicy savory flavor. The study concludes that sambal roa has strong potential to compete in both local and broader markets, especially with proper branding and digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

  Strengthening the relevance of art education in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) requires integration between local culture and the needs of the creative industry. This research aims to develop a learning model based on the Nusantara Cultural Information System that functions as a contextual reference in the preparation of a portfolio of PPG students' artworks. This model is designed so that students' portfolios not only reflect artistic competence, but also conform to creative industry standards based on local cultural richness. The approach used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model, focused on the Analysis, Design, and Development stage. At the analysis stage, a needs study was carried out through literature studies, curriculum analysis, and interviews with stakeholders in the creative industry and art education. The design stage produces a digital-based learning framework with the integration of Nusantara cultural content and creative production references. At the development stage, a prototype model is prepared in the form of learning modules, digital information systems, and guidelines for the preparation of contextual portfolios. The results of the initial formative evaluation show that this model has the potential to improve the contextuality of the work, encourage the exploration of local culture, and strengthen the linkage between arts education and the needs of the creative industry. This research contributes to the development of a PPG curriculum that is more relevant and adaptive to the development of the digital arts and culture ecosystem.

Abstract

  The development of a learning model based on the SIPETA information system (Information System for Aesthetic Assessment and Artistic Engineering) was carried out to answer the need for objective and reflective academic supervision in arts and culture education, especially in the Teacher Professional Program (PPG). The main goal of this study is to present a digital system that is able to systematically record and analyze the progress of students' artworks and techniques as a basis for decision-making in curriculum development. The method used is a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE model which focuses on the initial three stages: analysis, design, and development. Data were collected through interviews with lecturers, studio class observations, and literature reviews and portfolios of student work. The results of the analysis show that conventional assessments are still subjective and poorly documented. The SIPETA system is designed with excellent features such as uploading digital works, technical-aesthetic assessment rubrics, progress timelines, visual feedback, and evaluation dashboards. Validation shows that this system is feasible to use in the context of learning art practice. The results of the development show that SIPETA is able to significantly improve the quality of students' academic evaluation and reflection. In conclusion, the SIPETA learning model has the potential to be a data-based curriculum supervision tool, strengthen academic transparency, and encourage digital transformation in adaptive and sustainable arts education.
