Abstract

The role of system approaches in the digital transformation of education is crucial in ensuring the effective integration of technology into the educational system. This article employs a literature review method, analyzing various sources such as journals, books, articles, and research reports that discuss the impact and challenges of digital transformation in education. It identifies key components of system approaches within educational settings, including human resources, processes, and technology, and how these components interrelate to achieve quality education. Challenges such as digital skills gaps, access inequality, and resistance to change are discussed. Moreover, strategic management in education is emphasized as a systematic approach to improving education quality, with a focus on technological integration, curriculum adaptation, and collaborative efforts among stakeholders. This comprehensive system approach is essential for overcoming barriers and advancing the digital transformation of education, ensuring that it meets the needs of the 21st century. Abstract

The research was conducted on Jl. SM Raja, Km. 5, 5, Harjosari 1 Village, Medan Amplas District. The aim is to describe or describe what a literature study on the systems approach looks like in terms of increasing collaboration between teachers and parents in shaping children's character. By conducting interviews with teachers and parents in the surrounding environment. In this research, the aim is to create closeness between teachers and parents. By carrying out activities or meetings held at school with the involvement of teachers and parents. And likewise, observations and interviews were carried out on several individuals to find out the role of teachers and parents in forming children's character. This data is presented as processed and presented using analytical methods. This research shows that the results of the systems approach are to increase collaboration between teachers and parents in forming children's character, learning process, character and collaboration, the role of teachers and parents in collaborative implementation, collaborative implementation in the learning system.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of the cultural anthropology perspective in the development of multicultural counseling models to address social adjustment issues in adolescents. Through literature studies, the article analyzes the integration of cultural anthropology in counseling, the effectiveness of multicultural approaches, and the challenges and opportunities that exist. The research results show that a deep understanding of culture is crucial in creating relevant and effective counseling interventions for adolescents from diverse backgrounds.

Abstract

The divorce rate in Indonesia, especially in the Riau region, has shown a quite significant increase in recent years. This phenomenon has become a very important issue to be considered in social and psychological studies, especially considering the broad and profound impact it has on individuals, families, and society as a whole. This article aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the factors that contribute to the increasing divorce rates in Riau, as well as evaluate the role of marriage counseling in efforts to prevent and resolve various issues that arise in marital life. In conducting this analysis, the article adopts a literature study approach, where data and information are gathered from various relevant sources to provide a more comprehensive and thorough overview of the divorce issue currently happening in Riau society. With this approach, it is hoped that readers can better understand the complexity of divorce problems and the solutions that can be implemented to reduce divorce rates in the region.

Abstract

Challenges in education are increasingly complex, especially in the field of career guidance. This research aims to explore interest and talent-based career guidance strategies in the digital era. The research method used is a literature study, by analyzing various relevant research and literature related to career guidance. The results showed that effective career guidance strategies in the digital era include the integration of digital technology, the use of interactive media, comprehensive services, and multi-party engagement. Digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence-based applications and online platforms, can be used to help students understand their interests, talents and potentials in a more personalized manner. In addition, a comprehensive approach through basic, responsive, individualized planning and system support services provides holistic guidance for students in making career decisions. This strategy is also reinforced by life skills training and collaboration with parents, teachers, psychologists and industry professionals. This study concludes that interest and talent-based career guidance that utilizes digital technology can increase the effectiveness of career counseling services, have a positive impact on students' readiness to face the challenges of the world of work, and support career development in accordance with individual potential. This study provides recommendations for counselors and educational institutions to continue to innovate in providing career guidance services that are relevant to the needs of the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Ann Roe's theory in student career guidance, particularly in interest- and aptitude-based career planning. Ann Roe's theory highlights the relationship between childhood experiences, parenting, and individual career preferences. Using the literature study method, this research examines various relevant literature to understand the principles of Ann Roe's theory and how this theory can be applied in career guidance services in the digital era. The results show that Ann Roe's theory provides a comprehensive approach to help students understand their potential and make informed career decisions. The integration of technology in career guidance services based on Ann Roe's theory is one of the important strategies. Artificial intelligence-based career assessment applications, interactive digital media, and structured guidance modules proved effective in improving students' understanding of various career options. In addition, collaboration between counselors, schools, and parents plays a key role in creating a supportive environment for students' career planning. By adopting this approach, career guidance services can help students prepare for the challenges of the ever-evolving world of work. This study concludes that Ann Roe's theory remains relevant in providing personalized and data-driven career guidance.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Medan Marelan District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. They were starting from January to July 2024. Cherry tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme) are one of the vegetables grown by Indonesian farmers. Cherry tomatoes have great economic value and can not only be used as vegetables but also as raw materials for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. This research aimed to determine the effect of giving several concentrations of gibberellin and humic acid PGRs on the growth and yield of cherry tomato plants. This research used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) consisting of two treatment factors, with the first factor being gibberellin with the symbol (G) consisting of 3 treatment levels, namely: G0 = control, G1 = Gibberellin 10 ml/Liter of water, G2 = Gibberellin 20 ml/Liter of water. The second factor is humic acid with the symbol (A) which consists of 4 levels, namely A0 = control, A1 = 1 gr/Liter of water, A2 = 2 gr/Liter of water, A3 = 3 gr/Liter of water. The parameters observed in this study were plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), number of branches (bb), flowering age (days), leaf color (bwd), number of fruit per plant (fruit), fruit weight per plant (gr ) and fruit weight per plot (gr). The research results showed that gibberellin treatment had a significant effect on flowering time and the number and weight of fruit on cherry tomato plants. Humic acid treatment has a substantial impact on plant height at 4 WAP, 5 WAP, 6 WAP, and 7 WAP, stem diameter at 4 WAP, 5 WAP, 6 WAP, and 7 WAP. The interaction of the two treatments had a very significant effect on stem diameter at 6 WAP and 7 WAP.

Abstract

Preparedness for natural disasters is an important aspect in building community resilience, especially for vulnerable groups such as children. This study aims to describe the results of disaster preparedness education and socialization activities carried out for students at MIS Al-Washliyah Timbang Lawan Village. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach with the implementation of activities in the form of delivering disaster material and simple evacuation simulations. The results of the activity show that students have high enthusiasm and are able to understand basic concepts about disasters, including types of disasters, causes, impacts, and self-rescue steps that must be taken when a disaster occurs. In addition, teachers and educators also showed openness to this material, considering that most of them have never participated in similar training. This activity had a positive impact not only for students as the main participants, but also for the school who realized the importance of integrating disaster education in teaching and learning activities. The conclusion of this activity confirms that disaster education from an early age is an effective strategy in building a culture of disaster awareness and preparedness at the school community level. Therefore, similar activities are strongly recommended to be carried out periodically by involving various stakeholders so that the impact is wider and more sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to implement group guidance services with guided imagery techniques as an effort to reduce excessive anxiety in class XI F2 students at SMA Negeri 10 Medan. Anxiety is a common problem that can affect students' physical and psychological health, so it needs to be handled effectively. The research method used is Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) with two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 5 students who were identified as experiencing excessive anxiety based on the assessment results. The results showed that the application of guided imagery techniques was effective in increasing students' sense of calm and confidence. Evaluation of both cycles showed significant improvements in students' affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects, as well as a positive impact on their involvement in the guidance process. This study is expected to contribute to the development of guidance and counseling practices in schools and enrich knowledge about anxiety management techniques.

Abstract

Self-confidence is an important aspect for humans. This study was conducted with the aim of examining the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning technique to enhance the self-confidence of Grade XI F-5 students at SMA Negeri 10 Medan. The research was carried out in class XI F-5, which consisted of 32 students. This study employed the Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) method, conducted over two cycles. The type of research used was qualitative descriptive analysis, describing both the process during and after the intervention. Based on evaluation data, the results showed that the implementation of Problem-Based Learning through classical services can improve self-confidence among students in class XI F-5. Self-confidence is a psychological condition in students that manifests as a belief in their own abilities to take action in order to achieve goals. In the learning process, self-confidence is crucial to be nurtured and enhanced so that students are able to make decisions for their future. This research was conducted to assess the level of students' self-confidence and to test the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning technique through classical services in enhancing students' confidence.
