Abstract

The research will unravel the phenomenon of bullying that often occurs by high school students as unconscious perpetrators of bullying. Samples were obtained from several schools, namely several cities in North Sumatra with a total of 760 samples, consisting of students from grades X to XII, consisting of general high schools to boarding school high schools with a total of 6 schools. There are 3 dimensions of bullying behaviour, namely physical, verbal and non-physical/ non-verbal bullying. This research uses quantitative methods with purposive sampling techniques and focuses on high schools that have school counsellors and have made preventive efforts related to the issue of bullying that is rampant. The research instrument used a Likert scale test with a previously validated measuring instrument. Conducting validity and reliability tests and a descriptive approach to describe patterns of bullying behaviour. The results of this study show that there is still bullying behaviour among high school students based on certain grade levels (grade X, XI, and XII), then based on gender. Reports of bullying behaviour still occur with a relatively small portion compared to behaviour that does not involve bullying. Another finding is that there is no significant difference between bullying behaviour patterns in general high schools and boarding schools. However, bullying still occurs in the schools sampled in this research even though they have school counsellors, one of the reasons is that the ratio between school counsellors and students is not balanced so that preventive efforts related to bullying are not optimal.

Abstract

This research is based on the challenges faced by grade VII students in understanding folk poetry materials, including rhymes, poems, and gurindam, often due to less interesting learning approaches and the absence of adequate interactive media. To overcome these problems, development research is carried out to produce learning media that is relevant and can facilitate student understanding. The 4D development method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) was chosen as the framework for this research. The implementation of the learning media named "Kincir Cipurak" was carried out for grade VII students in one of the junior high schools in East Java. Before being widely implemented, this media went through a validation stage involving material experts, media experts, and subject teachers to ensure its feasibility of use. A limited trial has also been carried out on 16 students. The results of the study show that the learning media "Kincir Cipurak" has proven to be effective in improving students' understanding of folk poetry materials. Assessments from subject matter experts, media experts, and subject teachers categorize this media as "very feasible" to be implemented, with a high average percentage of feasibility in terms of appearance, language, and feasibility of material content.

Abstract

This study discusses the policy strategies of the Banten Provincial Government in implementing free education programs at the high school/vocational school level. The primary focus of the study is to analyze the government's efforts to improve access to education and reduce dropout rates, particularly during the transition from junior high school to senior high school. However, in its implementation, the program still faces various challenges, such as budget constraints, inadequate educational infrastructure, and disparities in the quality of educational services between urban and rural areas. Additionally, affirmative policies for vulnerable groups, such as poor families and people with disabilities, are still suboptimal, while the quality and distribution of educators are not evenly distributed across the Banten region. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews conducted at the Banten Provincial Education Office (KP3B Serang). The research findings recommend the need for improved inter-institutional coordination, equitable distribution of human resources, and accelerated development of educational facilities in underdeveloped areas such as Lebak and Pandeglang. With a more adaptive approach to local needs, this free education policy is expected to promote equitable access and improved educational quality in Banten Province, thereby fostering the development of superior and competitive human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance principles in public service at the Department of Population and Civil Registration. Principles such as transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and public participation are the main focus in evaluating the quality of population administration services. The research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings indicate that some principles have been well implemented, particularly in information provision and digital-based administration systems. However, challenges remain, such as limited public participation, uneven responsiveness among staff, and users’ low digital literacy. The study recommends strengthening participatory mechanisms, service-oriented human resource training, and enhancing inclusive information systems. Overall, the study highlights the importance of integrating good governance principles to promote more effective, equitable, and sustainable public service governance.

Abstract

Students are greatly affected by the latest technological advances. Artificial intelligence, also called AI, is one of the most popular modern innovations. The purpose of this study is to use statistics to examine how Artificial Intelligence (AI) affects student learning. A total of 29 participants who were all Uinsu students participated in the quantitative analysis. Regression modeling, correlation analysis, and descriptive statistics were used to investigate the relationship between AI and student learning. The results obtained were with a significance level of 0.000, the simultaneous test results showed a calculated F value of 1.325. This indicates a fairly large simultaneous influence between the Artificial Intelligence variable (X) and the student learning variable (Y). If the partial test results show a calculated t value (4.738) greater than the t table (2.052), then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Student learning (Y) is significantly influenced by Artificial Intelligence (X) and the R-Square test, which produces an R2 value of 0.811, Artificial Intelligence (X) has an influence of 81.1% on Student Learning (Y), while other elements not covered in this study have an influence of 19.9%. Regardless of the research findings, it is important to understand the benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence. If implemented correctly, artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to be a useful tool to improve student learning outcomes and quality.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the influence of Islamic akidah (creed) values on various aspects of community life in Naman Village, Naman Teran District, Karo Regency. Islamic akidah, as the foundation of faith, not only shapes individual religious practices but also influences social interactions, economy, and education. Using a qualitative approach, this research examines how akidah values such as honesty, justice, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), and responsibility are reflected in the daily lives of Naman Village residents, who are predominantly Protestant Christians but live in harmony with the Muslim minority. The findings indicate that Islamic akidah promotes consistency in worship, fosters noble character, strengthens social bonds through mutual cooperation, and encourages ethical economic practices. Despite facing challenges such as differing religious understandings and the impact of modernization, opportunities to strengthen aqidah remain through the active role of religious leaders, formal and informal education, utilization of technology, and support from local government and institutions. This study provides a clear picture of the relationship between Islamic akidah and social practices at the village level, contributing to the development of socio-religious studies in Indonesia.

Abstract

The unauthorized installation of fiber optic poles in the city of Pekanbaru has had a negative impact on safety, aesthetics, and urban order. Enforcement by the Pekanbaru Municipal Police, which is responsible for addressing these violations, has not been optimal. This study aims to analyze the implementation of enforcement by the Satpol PP in the context of monitoring violations related to the installation of fiber optic support poles. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, this study identifies four monitoring indicators, as outlined by Jones and George: setting standards and targets, measuring performance, comparing results with these standards, and taking corrective actions. The results show that the establishment of standards and targets is not yet specific, performance measurement is not yet measurable, comparison of results is not systematic, and corrective actions are sporadic. Enforcement remains reactive and dependent on community reports, rather than being based on a structured work plan. The recommendation of this study is the need for a more structured, data-driven, and consistent enforcement system to create equitable public order.

Abstract

A characteristic of a woman entering adulthood is menstruation. Menstrual cycles disorder can be influenced by several factors such as age, body weight, physical activity, stress levels, genetics and nutrition. Physical activity levels and length of working hours that trigger stress can affect the menstrual cycle. The purpose of this research knowed the relationship between physical activity levels and length of working hours in menstrual cycle for female workers. This research design uses a cross sectional approach. The population is all female workers of childbearing age who work in Kenangan Village, Deli Serdang Regency. The total sample was 72 working female respondents of childbearing age who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the majority of physical activity level was moderate and has menstrual cycle disorders (36.11%), and length of working hours is more than 8 hours also has the most menstrual cycle disorders (40.27%). The chi-square test of physical activity level with menstrual cycle disorders was shown with p-value of 0,00059 (α < 0.05) and the length of working hours with the menstrual cycle disorder resulted in p-value of 0,00057 (α < 0.05). There is a relationship between physical activity levels and length of working hours in menstrual cycle for female workers.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of using puzzle media in math learning on student learning outcomes at SDN 1 Mimbaan, Indonesia. The study aimed to improve students' understanding and motivation in math by applying an interactive and fun learning tool. A classroom action research method with two cycles was conducted, involving 28 grade II students. The study focused on addition and subtraction materials, using puzzle media to promote student engagement. Pre-action test results showed that 86% of students had not reached the minimum completeness criteria. However, after implementing the puzzle media, the results improved significantly in Cycle I, where 64% of students reached the completeness target. In Cycle II, 93% of students achieved completeness, exceeding the expected target. The study concluded that puzzle media effectively improved students' understanding and motivation in mathematics, making learning more interactive and fun. The research recommends the integration of puzzle media in the learning process to improve learning outcomes and student engagement in basic education.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of mathematics teacher professionalism at UPT SMP Negeri 35 Medan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study explores how mathematics teacher plan, implement, and evaluate learning. Interview results show that teacher demonstrate professionalism through well-prepared lesson plans (RPP), mastery of subbject matter, use of varied teaching methods and media, and the ability to create a conducive classroom atmosphere. The main clallenges include a lack of student interest and limited school facilities. Nevertheless, teacher continue to make optimal efforts through personal approaches and assess success based on student’s understanding and comfort. Teacher professionalism, reflected in their discipline and sense of responsibility, plays a crucial role in improving the quality of mathematics learning.
