Abstract

Abstract

Company competitiveness is very important for business continuity. Therefore, the research aims to investigate and find an empirical model of the influence of entrepreneurial values, transformational leadership, and service innovation on company competitiveness through mediating mechanisms of organizational performance. The research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods and causal design. The sample was 153 leaders of ferry companies in Indonesia. The research instruments consist of organizational performance, competitiveness, entrepreneurial values, transformational leadership, and service innovation, as questionnaires were designed as a Likert scale. The questionnaire was distributed in Google Form format via the WhatsApp application. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling analysis based on partial least squares (SEM-PLS). The research's findings demonstrate that entrepreneurial values, transformational leadership, service innovation, and organizational performance all significantly impact a company's competitiveness; additionally, entrepreneurial values, transformational leadership, and service innovation have a major impact on organizational performance, which in turn has a significant impact on company competitiveness. These results support a novel empirical model of how entrepreneurial values, transformational leadership, and service innovation affect company competitivenessby using organizational performance as a mediating factor. Before being modified or used for their future work, researchers, academics, and practitioners should critically examine this new model without discounting some of the study's limitations.

Abstract

Indonesia is a renowned tourist destination worldwide. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a decrease in both foreign and domestic tourist visits. Therefore, this research aims to develop a Telegram-based ChatBot application to increase post-pandemic tourist visits. The ChatBot is designed to make it easier for tourists to obtain information related to transportation and accommodation at tourist attractions. The ChatBot is built using the Knuth-Morris-Pratt (KMP) algorithm and web scraping method. The ChatBot's response to the keyword matching is then presented to tourists. To measure travelers' perceptions of ChatBot, the System Usability Scale (SUS) was used. SUS is a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions that were answered by 20 anonymous users. Based on the calculations, the average SUS score is 71, which indicates that the developed ChatBot is in the good category and suitable for use. Using this ChatBot will make it easier for tourists to obtain tourism information in Indonesia. With its ability to retrieve relevant information related to transportation and accommodation at tourist attractions, the ChatBot can serve as a useful tool to increase post-pandemic tourist visits.

Abstract

The Marriage Law, which fundamentally aims to make divorce difficult, when confronted with the reality of a high divorce rate in the Denpasar District Court, indicates concerns about the erosion of the sanctity of marriage. This transformation of the sanctity of marriage towards an undesirable direction is undoubtedly worrisome. Stemming from this issue, the research aims to analyze the sanctity of marriage and the role of the judicial system in preserving the sanctity of marriage by preventing and complicating divorce. This research employs empirical legal research methods. The procedures involve collecting data consisting of factual or social phenomena and legal norms. Primary data collection includes observation to gather data on divorce cases, followed by interviews with informants who are judges at the Denpasar District Court and lawyers who have litigated at the same court. Additionally, a questionnaire was administered to 29 respondents through a focus group discussion. In addition to primary data, the study also collects secondary data derived from legal regulations and related literature. The collected data is then analyzed using qualitative techniques to provide sound arguments in analyzing the research issues. The research findings indicate that the sanctity of marriage originates from its validation based on religious and cultural customs. The bitter reality of the high number of divorce cases in the Denpasar District Court suggests a decline in the understanding of marriage sanctity. To optimize marital sanctity, three solutions are proposed in this study: maximizing the role of judges at the Denpasar District Court in earnestly preventing divorce in every session, reforming mediation regulations to make them mandatory without exceptions, and fostering societal efforts to understand the importance of preserving marital sanctity.

Abstract

Indonesia's fuel consumption level is experiencing fluctuating changes following the dynamics of world crude oil supply and demand conditions and geopolitics. This research aims to analyze and discover the direct and indirect influence of risk management, direct investment, and taxation on company value and economic growth as a useful research contribution for those interested. A complete sampling of 251 companies in South Sulawesi was determined using data pooling techniques between cross-sections and time series. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model using the AMOS program. The research results found that risk management and investment have a direct positive and significant effect on company value, which means that risk management and company investment determine the achievement of company value. Taxation has an insignificant positive influence on company value, which means that implementing the tax system determines the achievement of company value. Risk management, investment, and taxation directly have a positive and significant influence on economic growth, meaning that risk management, investment, and taxation will support increased economic growth. Company value has a significant favorable influence on economic growth, which shows that the better the company value, the more influence it has on increasing economic growth.
