The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education is dedicated to scholars, teachers, and anyone interested in the evolution of knowledge in Islamic Education. Articles published in the Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education need to fit with the expectation of scientific rigor concerning the theoretical background and the methodology. Results need to be realistic and embedded in the nowadays Islamic education topic. The topic should fall within, but not be limited to: innovation and technology in Islamic Education, Islamic education figures, and the Quran teaching and learning. The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education accepts research and review articles. The methodology used by authors can be qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods design, it is what makes Islamic education sciences original and relevant. Papers need to make contributions to the current literature on Islamic education. The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education normally accepts only English language submissions. In this perspective of international openness, contributions from foreign researchers as well as comparative studies can find their place there. Abstract

This study aims to integrate various high-level data analysis techniques in quantitative and qualitative approaches to produce a comprehensive understanding of educational phenomena. A mixed methods approach is used to systematically combine the strengths of numerical and interpretive analysis. In the quantitative stage, data were analyzed using advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, multiple regression, principal component analysis (PCA), discriminant analysis, canonical analysis, path analysis, factor analysis, ANAVA, ANCOVA, MANOVA, and MANCOVA to test the significant relationships, differences, and effects between variables. Meanwhile, the qualitative stage uses taxonomy/domain analysis, constant comparative analysis, and symbolic analysis to explore the deeper meaning of field data inductively and contextually. The use of the NVivo application supports the qualitative analysis process through thematic coding, visualization of conceptual relationships, and evidence-based data validation. The integration of these two approaches strengthens the internal and external validity of the research, increases the reliability of the results, and broadens theoretical and practical understanding in the context of modern education. The results of this study indicate that the application of a combination of high-level data analysis methods and qualitative analysis technology support is capable of producing richer, more accurate, and more relevant interpretations for the development of data- and meaning-based educational science.

Abstract

Digital transformation requires vocational higher education institutions to ensure that students possess digital readiness that goes beyond mere access to technology and encompasses critical, collaborative, safe, and ethical learning competencies. This study aims to assess students’ digital readiness in vocational higher education based on four key indicators: (1) digital access and operational skills, (2) information literacy and evaluation of digital sources, (3) digital content creation and collaboration, and (4) digital ethics, security, and professionalism. This research employed a mixed-methods approach using a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through a 24-item closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 187 students, while qualitative data were obtained through limited interviews with students and lecturers. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The findings indicate that students’ digital readiness is generally at a moderately good level; however, disparities remain across the indicators. While access to digital devices and internet connectivity is relatively adequate, advanced operational skills, critical evaluation of information sources, digital collaboration, and awareness of digital security and professionalism require further strengthening. These findings highlight the importance of integrating critical digital literacy, project-based collaborative learning, and the reinforcement of digital ethics and security within vocational higher education curricula.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of using animated videos on improving English skills and student motivation. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with one experimental class and one control class. This study was conducted by giving a test before treatment. Then, a test was conducted after the treatment using animated video media in the experiment class and using conventional techniques in the control class. The sample in this study was 23 students from grade VII.4 as the experimental class and 23 students from grade VII.5 as the control class. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The tests were analyzed using the mean and gain comparison formulas. The results showed that there was an effect of using animated video media in English learning to improve students' speaking skills and motivation. This can be seen from the mean value in the experimental class of 82.00 and the mean value in the control class of 76.96, and student motivation was 81.50 (very high). Meanwhile, the gain comparison for the experimental class was +25.54, and the gain comparison for the control class was +17.61. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of animated video media in English learning to improve students' speaking skills and motivation.

Abstract

Sexual education is a conscious and systematic effort carried out within the family, school, and community to provide children with an understanding of reproductive organs while instilling moral, ethical, and religious commitments to prevent sexual abuse and misconduct. This study aims to explore and conceptualize parenting education related to children’s sexual education from a Quranic perspective in order to enhance children’s responsibility and self-protection against sexual violations. The study employed a qualitative approach using content analysis, drawing data from relevant books, academic journals, and scholarly articles that are thematically aligned with the research focus. The findings reveal six core themes of parenting education on children’s sexual education from the Quranic perspective: (1) ethics of privacy and seeking permission (isti’dhān), (2) lowering the gaze and covering ‘awrah, (3) social interaction boundaries and the prohibition of adultery, (4) self-restraint and chastity (‘iffah), (5) understanding maḥram relationships, and (6) character formation in sexuality. These findings contribute conceptually to the discourse on Islamic parenting and may serve as a foundational reference for future studies examining children’s sexual education in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to improve the quality of Islamic education at Elementary School in Indonesia. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research examines the contribution of CSR in enhancing physical facilities and the spiritual development of students. Data was collected through interviews with the school principal, teachers, CSR program managers, and observations of the facilities. The results indicate that CSR has made a significant contribution to improving classrooms, worship spaces, and libraries, which enhances student engagement in Islamic learning and their spirituality. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between schools, CSR stakeholders, and the community to achieve sustainable educational improvements and create a fair learning environment in line with the broader goals of Islamic education.
