Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited research on the integration of the Wahdah and Takrir methods in Alquran memorization learning at the madrasah tsanawiyah level, even though these methods play an important role in improving the quality and quantity of students' memorization. This study aims to analyze the process of applying the integration of the Wahdah and Takrir methods, the results of their application on students' memorization abilities, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the Hubbul Quran Tahfidz Madrasah Program at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 6 Padang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of program leaders, tahfidz teachers, and students selected purposively, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that the integration of the Wahdah and Takrir methods was applied systematically and complemented each other, where Wahdah formed new memorization and Takrir strengthened and stabilized memorization. The application of this method was proven to improve the quantity of memorization, reading quality, tajwid accuracy, and students' memory. The success of the application was supported by teacher competence, infrastructure, a conducive learning atmosphere, and student motivation, while the main obstacles included limited learning time and a lack of parental guidance at home. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration of the Wahdah and Takrir methods effectively improves the quality of tahfidz learning when supported by the synergy between schools, teachers, students, and parents.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in addressing the moral crisis faced by junior high school students in Indonesia. This type of research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The results of this problem are the role of Islamic religious education teachers in addressing students' moral crisis by being good role models, spreading Islamic values through interesting ways such as storytelling and setting an example, and providing ongoing moral direction and guidance. This task includes building positive character through daily interactions, helping students overcome their moral problems, and ensuring that Islamic religious education lessons are directly related to their lives. The factors that cause the moral crisis at the junior high school level include the impact of the family (minimal character education, poor parenting, and family economic conditions), the social environment (peer influence, wrong associations, and community conditions that do not support education), and technology (the negative impact of gadgets and social media). In addition, internal aspects such as a lack of understanding of moral and ethical values and a lack of positive role models from teachers and parents also contribute. The moral crisis among adolescents is one of the main challenges faced by modern society today. Amidst technological advances, the influence of globalization, and changes in social values, adolescent morality is increasingly exposed to negative external influences. Rapid lifestyle changes, particularly due to widespread access to social media and global culture, have given rise to various moral issues.

Abstract

The development of language and communication is a fundamental aspect of early childhood growth, especially at the ages of 4–5 years, which are known as the golden period for language development. However, at this stage, there are still children who experience speech delays, which hinder their communication abilities and social interaction skills. This study aims to describe the condition of speech delay in children aged 4–5 years, identify the forms of speech delays experienced by the children, and analyze internal and external factors that contribute to the occurrence of speech delay. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consist of ten children aged 4–5 years, along with teachers and parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that children with speech delay demonstrate limitations in expressive and receptive language abilities, low vocabulary mastery, and difficulties in forming complete sentences. The factors causing speech delay include internal factors, such as low self-confidence and developmental language barriers, as well as external factors, including limited language stimulation within the family environment and excessive use of digital devices. This study emphasizes the importance of early detection and collaboration between educators and parents in providing appropriate language stimulation for young children.

Abstract

Organizational culture is a strategic instrument that plays a vital role in shaping the attitudes, behaviors, and loyalty of organizational members in support of achieving common goals. In responding to the challenges of globalization, organizations are required to adapt through effective human resource management, particularly by emphasizing the alignment between individual competencies and job placement. In the educational context, a thorough understanding of learning needs serves as the foundation for formulating appropriate staffing policies, enabling teachers and educational staff to work professionally and optimally in accordance with their areas of expertise. Competency-based educational management, proportional task distribution, fair reward systems, and effective leadership have been proven to significantly influence motivation, work discipline, and productivity. School leadership plays a crucial role in directing, motivating, and coordinating all components of educational institutions to ensure alignment with institutional vision and mission. This study employs a quantitative research approach to address the research problems through precise measurement of specific variables, producing conclusions that can be generalized beyond particular timeframes, situations, and data types, with an emphasis on quantitative data. The findings indicate that a conducive work environment, as implemented at the Al-Azhar Islamic Education Foundation, fosters organizational synergy that positively impacts both individual and institutional performance, thereby enabling educational objectives to be achieved effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This study was motivated by phenomena occurring in Muslim communities in West Sumatra, such as low interest in reading the Quran, a decline in mosque attendance, and the negative influence of gadget use on Muslim youth. In response to these challenges, a group of community members initiated an online Quran tadarus program through a WhatsApp group. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Quran tadarus program through WhatsApp groups, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze its effectiveness in strengthening Islamic faith. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The data sources consist of primary data from mosque administrators, managers of the Quran tadarus program through WhatsApp groups, and the surrounding community who are involved in or aware of the implementation of the tadarus program. Secondary data consists of screenshots of activity reports and scientific literature that support the research analysis. The results of the study show that the Quran tadarus program through WhatsApp groups is carried out in a planned and systematic manner. This is fully supported by mosque administrators and the community. One of the inhibiting factors is the varying reading abilities of participants in terms of fluency and tajwid. This program is very effective, as evidenced by the growth of the tadarus group from one group to four active groups.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism in the era of educational transformation and Society 5.0 faces epistemological challenges that are not only related to mastery of pedagogical and technological competencies, but also require the strengthening of moral and spiritual dimensions as the foundation of professionalism. This study aims to reconstruct Educational Science and Profession in order to strengthen teacher professionalism based on Islamic values through an integrative approach. The research used a qualitative method with a case study design conducted through field study activities, with the researcher acting as a teaching assistant in the Educational Science and Profession course at the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Data collection was conducted over one semester through participatory observation of the lecture process, semi-structured interviews with lecturers and students, and analysis of learning documents, including the Semester Learning Plan, teaching modules, presentation materials, student papers, and course learning achievement instruments. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of value integration, learning dynamics, and the construction of teacher professionalism. The results of the study show that the integration of Islamic values such as trustworthiness, honesty (ṣidq), intelligence (faṭānah), compassion (raḥmah), and good character (akhlak karimah) serve as an epistemological and ethical framework that enriches students' understanding of educational science and the teaching profession. This integrative approach has been proven to increase student activity, encourage critical reflection, and shape a holistic paradigm of teacher professionalism through the integration of cognitive, affective, and moral-spiritual dimensions. This research has implications for the urgency of reconstructing the education curriculum, which systematically integrates Islamic values at the epistemological, pedagogical, and axiological levels in order to build teacher professionalism that is characterful, has integrity, and is relevant to the educational needs of the present and the future.

Abstract

The ability to read the Quran is one of the basic competencies that is the main focus of non-formal Islamic religious education. Quranic Education Institutions serve as learning spaces that support the mastery of this skill through various learning approaches and strategies tailored to the characteristics of the students. This study aims to analyze the role and strategies of educators at Quran Education Institutions in improving the quality of students' Quran reading skills, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence this process. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data sources were obtained from educators at the Quran Education Institution, parents, and students involved in learning activities at the Quran Education Institution. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and gradual conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that educators play a role in improving Quran reading skills through the application of the Iqra' method with classical learning techniques, such as educators reading and students listening, educators reading and students imitating, as well as reading together and reading comprehension activities. These strategies contribute to supporting the process of learning to read the Quran, although the achievement of students' abilities is influenced by their level of involvement and learning conditions. The implications of this study indicate that strengthening the role of educators in applying structured and contextual learning strategies can support the improvement of the quality of Quran reading learning in Quranic Education Institutions.
