Journal of Community Empowerment is multidisciplinary scientific journal in the field of empowerment and community Service, published by the English Department Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram with a publication period of two times in one year, namely in June and December. This journal covers some general problems from the results of research implemented to the community services including (1) social humanities, science, applied science, economic, health, cultural, ICT Development, and administration services, (2) Training and improvement in the results of educational, agricultural, information and communication, and appropriate technology, (3) community empowerment, students community services, local food security, marketing, and less developed region. The purpose of this journal publication is to disseminate conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of service to the community. This journal accepts manuscript in Bahasa or English.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Dulolong Barat, Kecamatan Alor Barat Laut, Kabupaten Alor memiliki potensi hasil laut yang melimpah, khususnya octopus (gurita), hasil tangkapan selama ini hanya dimanfaatkan secara terbatas sebagai bahan konsumsi rumah tangga atau dijual dalam bentuk mentah dan kering dengan nilai ekonomi yang rendah. Minimnya keterampilan pengolahan hasil laut serta kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang nilai gizi dan potensi pasar produk olahan menjadi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengolah Octapus (gurita) menjadi makanan sehat yang bernilai jual tinggi serta memperkenalkan diversifikasi produk olahan octapus (gurita) yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi usaha kecil. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi observasi awal, pelatihan teknis pengolahan makanan berbahan dasar  octapus (gurita), serta pendampingan usaha berbasis rumah tangga. Adapun Mitra sasaran kegiatan ini adalah Ibu-ibu PKK dan warga  masyarakat Desa Dulolong Barat, khususnya ibu-ibu rumah tangga dan nelayan lokal, dengan total peserta yang terlibat sebanyak 26 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah gurita menjadi produk makanan sehat dan tahan lama. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan antusiasme untuk mengembangkan produk secara mandiri dan mulai memasarkan hasil olahan ke lingkungan sekitar. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir desa dulolong barat dan mendorong pemanfaatan potensi laut lokal secara lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan.              Kata Kunci :  Pelatihan; makanan sehat; octapus ABSTRACTWest Dulolong Village, Northwest Alor District, Alor Regency has abundant potential for marine products, especially octopus (octopus), the catch so far has only been used in a limited way as a household consumption material or sold in raw and dry form with low economic value. The lack of seafood processing skills and the lack of public understanding of the nutritional value and market potential of processed products are the main problems faced. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the capacity of the community in processing Octapus (octopus) into healthy food with high selling value and introduce the diversification of processed octapus (octopus) products that can be developed into small businesses. The method of implementing activities includes initial observation, technical training in processing octapus-based food (octopus), and assistance with household-based businesses. The target partners of this activity are PKK women and residents of West Dulolong Village, especially housewives and local fishermen, with a total of 26 participants involved. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of participants in processing octopus into healthy and durable food products. In addition, participants showed enthusiasm to develop products independently and start marketing processed products to the surrounding environment. Abstract

ABSTRAKHasil observasi dan wawancara yang kami lakukan diperoleh informasi bahwa guru TPQ kurikulum yang digunakan serta metode yang di gunakan masih sangat konvensional.Bimbingan yang berjalan saat ini adalah belajar membaca Al-Quran melalui  metode  iqro’ dan hapalan surat-surat pendek. Adapun Tujuan PKM Ini adalah untuk:1)memperbaiki  tata  kelola bimbingan baca Al-Qur’an; khususnya pada Kurikulum yang berbasis diniyah(2) membina  kader-kader untuk menjadi sukarelawan dalam bimbingan baca tulis Al-Qur’an; (3) menambah menu bimbingan dengan beberapa kegiatan yang menunjang, seperti: tahfizh/murojaah, kitabah, tahsin, dan bacaan sholat/fiqih; serta (6) menata administrasi  yang lebih komprehensif.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode ceramah,diskusi dan pelatihan serta sosialisasi..Adapun hasil yang di temukan adalah Melihat berbagai kendala yang dihadapi maka kami memberi masukan agar kurikulum diniyah coba di terapkan oleh pengelola dengan memberi pemahaman terkait dengan kurikulum ini dan dampaknya bagi peserta didik dan guru- guru sudah mulai memahami kurikulum diniyah.dari berbagai tahan kegiatan yang kami lakukan pengelola, guru antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini dan ada yang sudah mulai mempraktekkannya dengan memberi pelajaran tambahan berupada dasar -dasar Pendidikan islam.Kata Kunci : Pengelolaan; TPQ; Kurikulum Diniyah; Desa Wolwal Tengah ABSTRACTThe results of our observations and interviews revealed that the curriculum and methods used by TPQ teachers are still very conventional. The current guidance focuses on learning to read the Quran through the Iqro' method and memorizing short surahs.The objectives of this PKM are: 1) improving the governance of Quran reading guidance, particularly in the diniyah-based curriculum; 2) developing cadres to become volunteers in Quran reading and writing guidance; 3) expanding the guidance menu with several supporting activities, such as: tahfizh/murojaah, kitabah, tahsin, and prayer reading/fiqh; and 6) organizing a more comprehensive administration.The methods used in the research were lectures, discussions, training, and socialization.The results found were: Seeing the various obstacles faced, we provide input for administrators to try implementing the diniyah curriculum by providing an understanding related to this curriculum and its impact on students and teachers who have begun to understand the diniyah curriculum. Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                             Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat lokal di Desa Gaya Baru, Kecamatan Lapandewa, dalam merancang paket wisata kreatif berbasis potensi lokal. Desa Gaya Baru memiliki keindahan alam yang belum terkelola optimal, dengan promosi wisata yang terbatas pada Waburi Park. Kegiatan ini melibatkan satu kelompok mitra utama, yaitu Kelompok Sadar Wisata (POKDARWIS) Desa Gaya Baru, dengan jumlah 20 orang anggota aktif yang berpartisipasi langsung dalam pelatihan dan praktik penyusunan paket wisata. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui pelatihan. Pelatihan berfokus pada pemaparan materi dasar tentang pengelolaan potensi wisata lokal, penyusunan itinerary, penentuan harga paket, dan strategi promosi. Pendampingan dilakukan secara langsung oleh tim dari Universitas Gadjah Mada dan Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton untuk memastikan peserta mampu mengaplikasikan pengetahuan secara praktis. Kegiatan praktik melibatkan simulasi penyusunan paket wisata secara berkelompok, sementara diskusi digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi ide kreatif dari peserta. Tahap evaluasi dan pelaporan dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi, respons terhadap pertanyaan, diskusi kelompok, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan POKDARWIS dalam menyusun paket wisata yang terarah dan menarik, serta menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab kolektif terhadap pelestarian potensi budaya dan alam setempat. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan POKDARWIS dalam menyusun paket wisata yang terarah dan menarik. Peserta berhasil merancang paket wisata yang mengangkat potensi lokal seperti alam, budaya, dan kuliner khas daerah, lengkap dengan rute, aktivitas, dan perkiraan biaya. Pelatihan ini juga berhasil menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab bersama dalam pelestarian aset budaya dan situs bersejarah, serta menekankan prinsip pengelolaan wisata berkelanjutan. Kompetensi yang dibangun meliputi pemandu wisata, manajemen acara, pengelolaan homestay, dan keterampilan mengelola sumber daya alam, serta pelayanan pelanggan. Kata kunci: Paket Wisata; Potensi Lokal; Pemberdayaan Masyarakat; POKDARWIS; Desa Gaya Baru ABSTRACTThis activity aims to empower the local community in Gaya Baru Village, Lapandewa District, in designing creative tourism packages based on local potential. Gaya Baru Village has natural beauty that has not been optimally managed, with tourism promotion limited to Waburi Park. This activity involved one main partner group, namely the Gaya Baru Village Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS), with 20 active members who directly participated in training and practice in developing tour packages. The activity implementation method used a participatory approach through training. The training focused on the presentation of basic materials on managing local tourism potential, developing itineraries, determining package prices, and promotional strategies. Mentoring was carried out directly by teams from Gadjah Mada University and Muhammadiyah Buton University to ensure participants were able to apply their knowledge practically. The practical activity involved a simulation of developing tour packages in groups, while discussions were used to explore creative ideas from participants. The evaluation and reporting stages were carried out qualitatively through observations, responses to questions, group discussions, and documentation of activities. The training results demonstrated an increase in the knowledge and skills of POKDARWIS in developing targeted and attractive tour packages, as well as fostering a sense of collective responsibility for the preservation of local cultural and natural potential. Participants successfully designed tour packages that highlighted local potential such as nature, culture, and regional culinary specialties, complete with routes, activities, and estimated costs. The training also succeeded in fostering a sense of shared responsibility in the preservation of cultural assets and historical sites, and emphasized the principles of sustainable tourism management. Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Anemia merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang masih tinggi di Indonesia, terutama pada kelompok remaja putri, ibu hamil, dan wanita usia subur. Anemia umumnya disebabkan oleh kekurangan zat besi yang berakibat pada rendahnya kadar hemoglobin dalam darah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kader PKK Kalurahan Ngargosari, Kulon Progo tentang anemia melalui edukasi menggunakan media flashcard. Kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berbasis edukasi kesehatan yang dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan edukasi partisipatif. Pendekatan ini menekankan keterlibatan aktif peserta dalam memahami materi, bukan hanya sebagai pendengar pasif. Kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Aula Kalurahan Ngargosari, Kapanewon Samigaluh, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada bulan Juli 2025. Peserta sebanyak 31 anggota Tim Penggerak PKK Kalurahan Ngargosari. Tahapan kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Media edukasi berupa media Flashcard berisi 12 kartu berwarna edukasi tentang anemia. Kuesioner pilihan ganda sebanyak 10 butir soal untuk pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pengabdian kepada Masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa setelah diberikan edukasi menggunakan media flashcard dan diskusi interaktif, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada hasil post-test. Setelah edukasi menggunakan media flashcard sebagian besar peserta mampu menjawab dengan benar mengenai anemia. Penggunaan media flashcard efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai anemia. Dari hasil kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat edukasi anemia dengan menggunakan media flashcard pada Tim Penggerak PKK Kalurahan Ngargosari, Kulon Progo menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan peserta mengenai anemia. Kata kunci: anemia; flashcard; edukasi kesehatan ABSTRACTAnemia is a public health problem that is still high in Indonesia, especially among adolescent girls, pregnant women, and women of childbearing age. Anemia is generally caused by iron deficiency which results in low hemoglobin levels in the blood. The objective of this this community service activity to increase the knowledge of PKK in Ngargosari Village, Kulon Progo about anemia through education using flashcard media. This community service program activity is based on health education implemented with a participatory educational approach. This approach emphasizes the active involvement of participants in understanding the material, not just as passive listeners. This community service program activity was carried out in the Ngargosari Village Hall, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta in July 2025. Participants were 31 members of the PKK Ngargosari Village. The stages of community service program activities include the preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The educational media was in the form of Flashcard media containing 12 educational colored cards about anemia. A multiple-choice questionnaire of 10 questions for the pre-test and post-test. The results showed that after being given education using flashcard media and interactive discussions, there was a significant increase in post-test results. After the flashcard education session, most participants were able to answer questions about anemia correctly. The use of flashcards was effective in increasing participants' understanding of anemia. The results of the community service program for anemia education using flashcard media at the PKK Team of Ngargosari Village, Kulon Progo, showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge about anemia. Keywords: anemia; flashcards; health education

ABSTRAK                                                                            Usaha Menengah Kecil Mikro (UMKM) kuliner memiliki peran penting dalam memperkuat perekonomian lokal, namun sebagian besar masih menghadapi kendala dalam promosi digital dan keterjangkauan pasar. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM kuliner di Desa Pattondon Salu, Kecamatan Dua Pitue, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang adalah rendahnya kemampuan promosi digital dan keterbatasan pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana pemasaran. Kondisi ini berdampak pada rendahnya jangkauan pasar dan daya saing produk kuliner lokal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku UMKM dalam mengelola promosi digital melalui pendampingan desain konten, pendaftaran usaha di Google Maps, serta manajemen akun media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan observasi awal, pelatihan interaktif, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Mitra sasaran kegiatan ini adalah 10 pelaku UMKM kuliner di Desa Pattondon Salu yang aktif memproduksi dan menjual produk makanan lokal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan desain konten digital (rata-rata peningkatan 65%), seluruh UMKM telah terdaftar di Google Maps, serta peningkatan visibilitas dan interaksi pada media sosial sebesar 50%. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendampingan berbasis digital mampu memperkuat promosi produk lokal dan memperluas akses pasar bagi UMKM desa. Kata kunci: UMKM kuliner; promosi digital; media sosial; Google Maps; pemberdayaan masyarakat ABSTRACTMicro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector play a crucial role in strengthening the local economy; however, most still face challenges in digital promotion and market accessibility. The main problem faced by culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pattondon Salu Village, Dua Pitue Sub-district, Sidenreng Rappang Regency is the limited ability to promote their products digitally and to utilize social media as a marketing tool. This condition has resulted in low market reach and competitiveness of local culinary products. This community service program aims to enhance the digital promotion capacity of MSME actors through training in content design, business registration on Google Maps, and social media management. The implementation method consisted of several stages, including preliminary observation, interactive training, and continuous mentoring using a participatory approach. The target partners were ten culinary MSME owners actively engaged in producing and selling local food products in Pattondon Salu Village. The results show a significant improvement in participants’ digital content design skills (average increase of 65%), all MSMEs successfully registered on Google Maps, and an average 50% growth in social media visibility and engagement. Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Wisata Kebangsaan, Situbondo, Jawa Timur, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kapasitas pelaku UMKM, pengelola homestay, dan masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan storytelling digital sebagai strategi promosi pariwisata. Permasalahan utama mitra mencakup promosi yang masih konvensional, keterbatasan keterampilan digital, serta rendahnya pemahaman mengenai pemasaran berbasis narasi. Metode kegiatan mencakup penyuluhan, pelatihan, workshop, pendampingan, praktik lapangan, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman konsep storytelling (dari ±20% menjadi ±90%), keterampilan produksi konten visual (±25% menjadi ±90%), dan kemampuan publikasi digital (±30% menjadi ±85%). Peserta mampu menghasilkan konten foto dan video yang memadukan narasi lokal dengan media sosial, sehingga memperkuat branding Desa Wisata Kebangsaan. Meskipun terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan perangkat, kesulitan penyusunan caption, dan akses internet yang belum merata, solusi adaptif berupa penyediaan perangkat sederhana, template caption, serta strategi publikasi terjadwal mampu mengatasinya. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan storynomics berbasis edu-tourism homestay efektif untuk mendukung pengembangan pariwisata berbasis komunitas yang kreatif, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Storytelling Digital; UMKM; Homestay; Desa Wisata, Pengabdian Masyarakat ABSTRACTThis community service program was implemented in Kebangsaan Tourism Village, Situbondo, East Java, aiming to enhance the capacity of local MSME actors, homestay managers, and the community in utilizing digital storytelling as a tourism promotion strategy. The main problems identified include conventional promotional practices, limited digital skills, and a lack of understanding of narrative-based marketing. The program employed a comprehensive method consisting of outreach, training, workshops, mentoring, field practice, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of storytelling concepts (from ±20% to ±90%), visual content production skills (±25% to ±90%), and digital publication ability (±30% to ±85%). Participants successfully produced photos and videos that integrated local narratives into social media content, thereby strengthening the branding of Kebangsaan Tourism Village. Despite challenges such as limited technological devices, difficulties in composing promotional captions, and unstable internet connectivity, adaptive solutions including the provision of simple devices, caption templates, and scheduled publishing strategies were effective. This program demonstrates that a storynomics-based edu-tourism homestay approach is effective in fostering creative, inclusive, and sustainable community-based tourism development. Keywords: Digital Storytelling; Msmes; Homestay; Tourism Village; Community Service

ABSTRAK                                                                            Sentra IKM Jadah Tempe di Kaliurang, Kecamatan Pakem, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta merupakan klaster usaha kuliner tradisional dengan potensi ekonomi lokal yang signifikan. Namun, sebagian besar pelaku usaha masih mengandalkan pencatatan manual dan pendekatan konvensional dalam mengelola pelanggan, sehingga pengelolaan relasi pelanggan belum optimal. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memperkenalkan konsep CRM dan alat digital kepada 32 peserta dari Sentra IKM Jadah Tempe di Kaliurang dengan tujuan agar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pada pelayanan pelanggan yang diharapkan akan mendorong loyalitas. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 April 2025 dengan fokus pada konsep dasar CRM, manajemen data pelanggan, serta demonstrasi aplikasi digital. Metode pelatihan mencakup ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, simulasi, dan praktik langsung penginputan data penjual serta pelanggan ke dalam aplikasi berbasis CRM. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi, serta lembar umpan balik. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 55%, dengan 27 dari 32 peserta berhasil menyelesaikan simulasi pembuatan database pelanggan dan merancang strategi loyalitas sederhana. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi, dengan 90% menyatakan bahwa CRM relevan dengan usaha mereka. Pelatihan ini menegaskan pentingnya keterampilan pengelolaan pelanggan berbasis digital bagi UMKM sektor kuliner, serta membuktikan bahwa intervensi yang terarah dan praktis dapat mendorong kesiapan digital dan strategi berorientasi pelanggan pada klaster bisnis tradisional. Sebagai tindak lanjut, Sentra IKM Jadah Tempe berencana membentuk tim CRM internal didampingi tim pengabdian UPN Veteran Yogyakarta dan menerapkan sistem basis data pelanggan secara rutin sebagai upaya keberlanjutan untuk memperkuat daya saing dan loyalitas pelanggan dalam jangka panjang. Kata kunci: Pelatihan; UMKM; customer relationship management; digitalisasi  ABSTRACTThe Jadah Tempe Small and Medium Industries (IKM) Center in Kaliurang, Pakem District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, is a traditional culinary business cluster with significant local economic potential. However, most business owners still rely on manual record-keeping and conventional approaches in managing customer relationships, resulting in suboptimal customer relationship management. This community service program introduced the concept of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and digital tools to 32 participants from the Jadah Tempe IKM Center in Kaliurang. The program aimed to enhance customer service skills, which are expected to foster greater customer loyalty. The training was held on April 22, 2025, focusing on fundamental CRM concepts, customer data management, and demonstrations of digital CRM applications. The training methods included interactive lectures, group discussions, simulations, and hands-on practice in entering seller and customer data into a CRM-based application. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests, observations, and participant feedback forms. The results showed a 55% increase in participants’ understanding, with 27 out of 32 participants successfully completing the simulation of building a customer database and designing simple loyalty strategies. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm, with 90% stating that CRM was relevant to their businesses.This training highlights the importance of digital customer management skills for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector and demonstrates that targeted and practical interventions can effectively enhance digital readiness and customer-oriented strategies in traditional business clusters. As a follow-up, the Jadah Tempe IKM Center plans to establish an internal CRM team, supported by the UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta community service team, and to implement a regular customer database system as a sustainability effort to strengthen competitiveness and customer loyalty in the long term. Keywords: Training; MSMEs; customer relationship management; digitalization

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Kabupaten Lampung Utara memiliki produksi singkong yang melimpah, mencapai 1.165.966 ton pada tahun 2022, namun potensi ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal melalui pengolahan pascapanen. Hal ini mengakibatkan nilai tambah komoditas unggulan tersebut belum maksimal. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah singkong dengan mengolahnya menjadi tepung Modified Cassava Flour (Mocaf) serta menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan di kalangan siswa dan guru SMA Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Kotanegara. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan tiga metode utama, yaitu Forum Diskusi Kelompok (FGD) antara tim pengabdian dan dewan guru, pelatihan praktik pembuatan mocaf secara langsung, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dalam proses pemasaran produk. Mitra sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah SMA Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Kotanegara. Peserta yang terlibat meliputi para guru dan siswa dari sekolah tersebut. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dan siswa Dari hasil evaluasi didapatkan bahwa adanya perubahan pada 6 aspek pengetahuan dengan aspek pengetahuan tertinggi yang diperoleh pemahaman proses teknis, pemahaman prinsip fermentasi  dan pemahaman aspek kewirausahaan. Terbentuknya unit usaha sekolah berbasis mocaf menjadi output nyata, diiringi peningkatan keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa melalui praktik langsung. Program ini juga mendorong pemanfaatan produktif lahan sekolah yang ditanami singkong. Dampak jangka panjang yang diharapkan adalah kemandirian ekonomi sekolah, penguatan pendidikan kewirausahaan, dan pemberdayaan sumber daya lokal.Kata kunci: Tepung Mocaf; Kewirausahaan; Nilai tambah; SMA Muhammadiyah Kotanegara; Singkong. ABSTRACTNorth Lampung Regency has an abundant cassava production, reaching 1,165,966 tons in 2022. However, this potential has not been optimally utilized through post-harvest processing, resulting in less than maximum added value for this leading commodity.This community service program aimed to increase the added value of cassava by processing it into Modified Cassava Flour (Mocaf) and to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students and teachers of Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Kotanegara High School. The program was implemented using three main methods: a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) between the service team and the teachers, hands-on training in Mocaf production, and continuous mentoring in the product marketing process. The target partners for this activity were the teachers and students of MBS Kotanegara High School. The program successfully enhanced the knowledge of both teachers and students. Evaluation results indicated significant improvement across six aspects of knowledge, with the highest gains observed in understanding the technical process, the principles of fermentation, and entrepreneurial aspects. A tangible outcome was the establishment of a school-based Mocaf business unit, accompanied by an increase in students' entrepreneurial skills through direct practice. The program also encouraged the productive use of school land planted with cassava. Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            ASI  atau  yang  disebut  Air  Susu  Ibu  adalah  air  susu  yang  dihasilkan  oleh  ibu  dan mengandung zat gizi yang telah diperlukan si bayi untuk kebutuhan maupun perkembangan si bayi. Usia 6 bulan pertama pada bayi hanya diberikan ASI saja tanpa tambahan campuran susu lainnya  seperti  susu  formula  dan  tanpa  tambahan  makanan  padat  lainnya,  misalnya  biscuit, bubur nasi, pisang, dan lain-lain (Nuradhiani, 2020) Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu terkait ASI Ekslusif. Lokasi pengabdian di Poskesdes Rembiga  Kecamatan Selaparang Kota Mataram. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah, pemberian leaflet dan metode pre-post test dalam bentuk kuesioner. Subyek pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah seluruh ibu hamil dan ibu yang mempunyai bayi 0-6 bulan sejumlah 15 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah power point, leaflet dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest dari kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat dilihat terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan remaja putri dari nilai pretest dalam kategori kurang sebesar 46 % (7 orang) meningkat menjadi sebagian besar kategori pengetahuan cukup dan baik sebesar 60 % (9 orang) pada saat posttest.Kata kunci: Pendidikan Kesehatan; Stunting; ASI Eksklusif. ABSTRACTBreast milk or what is known as Mother's Milk is the milk produced by the mother and contains the nutrients needed by the baby for their needs and development. For the first 6 months, babies should only be given breast milk without any additional mixed milk such as formula and without any solid food additions, such as biscuits, rice porridge, bananas, etc (Oktarina & Sudiarti, 2014). The purpose of this community service activity is to increase mothers' knowledge about Exclusive Breastfeeding. The location of the service is at the Rembiga Poskesdes in Selaparang District, Mataram City. The methods used in this activity include lectures, distribution of leaflets, and a pre-post test in the form of a questionnaire. The subjects of this community service are all pregnant mothers and mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months totaling 15 people. The instruments used are PowerPoint, leaflets, and questionnaires. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest from the conducted activities, there was an increase in knowledge among female adolescents from a pretest score in the 'poor' category of 46% (7 people) to mostly being in the 'sufficient' and 'good' knowledge categories at 60% (9 people) during the posttest.Keywords: Health Education; Stunting; MP-ASI.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                             Masalah stunting di Indonesia merupakan tantangan serius dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia karena dapat memengaruhi pertumbuhan fisik, perkembangan otak, serta produktivitas generasi mendatang. Idealnya, setiap anak berhak tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal, namun prevalensi stunting di Indonesia masih tergolong tinggi. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas tahun 2018, Indonesia menempati posisi ke-17 dari 117 negara dengan prevalensi stunting sebesar 30,8%. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya intervensi yang terarah dan berkelanjutan, terutama di wilayah pedesaan yang memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap kejadian stunting. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pencegahan stunting melalui edukasi gizi, kesehatan lingkungan, serta upaya pencegahan pernikahan dini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Negeri Padang di Jorong Koto Tuo, dengan mitra pelaksana Posyandu setempat dan dukungan perangkat nagari. Sasaran utama kegiatan adalah masyarakat setempat, khususnya ibu-ibu dan remaja putri, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 45 orang yang terdiri atas kader posyandu, ibu rumah tangga, serta remaja perempuan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif-partisipatif dengan teknik penyuluhan interaktif, observasi lapangan, diskusi kelompok kecil, dan pembagian makanan bergizi sederhana. Melalui metode ini, peserta tidak hanya menerima informasi secara pasif tetapi juga terlibat aktif dalam proses diskusi dan praktik langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya asupan gizi seimbang, praktik sanitasi lingkungan yang baik, serta penundaan usia pernikahan. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata sebagai model intervensi berbasis masyarakat dalam upaya menurunkan prevalensi stunting, khususnya di daerah berisiko tinggi seperti Jorong Koto Tuo.Kata kunci: Stunting, Edukasi; Gizi; KKN; Pencegahan. ABSTRACTStunting in Indonesia is a serious challenge in the development of human resources as it can affect physical growth, brain development, and the productivity of future generations. Ideally, every child has the right to grow and develop optimally; however, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia remains high. According to the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), Indonesia ranked 17th out of 117 countries with a stunting prevalence rate of 30.8%. This situation indicates the urgent need for targeted and sustainable interventions, particularly in rural areas with a high risk of stunting. This community service program aimed to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding stunting prevention through nutrition education, environmental health promotion, and early marriage prevention efforts. The program was implemented by students from Universitas Negeri Padang during their Community Service Program (KKN) in Jorong Koto Tuo, in collaboration with local Posyandu (integrated health service posts) and supported by village authorities. The primary target groups were local communities, especially mothers and adolescent girls, with a total of 45  participants consisting of Posyandu cadres, housewives, and teenage girls. The implementation methods adopted an educational-participatory approach through interactive counseling, field observations, small group discussions, and the distribution of simple nutritious food. Through these methods, participants were actively involved in discussions and hands-on practice rather than passively receiving information. The results showed a significant increase in community knowledge and awareness regarding balanced nutrition intake, proper sanitation practices, and the importance of delaying early marriage. In conclusion, this program provides a concrete example of a community-based intervention model that can contribute to reducing stunting prevalence, particularly in high-risk rural areas such as Jorong Koto Tuo.Keywords: Stunting; Education; Nutrition; Community Service; Prevention.
