Abstract

This study aims to describe students' learning difficulties in solving math problems for MI/SD based on Polya's problem-solving stages. This research is included in the case study research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 2 students of the PGMI study program who had studied Mathematics for MI/SD. The data collection methods in this study were tests and interviews, while the data analysis was done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning difficulties experienced by RSD and SAT were broadly similar, including: (1) difficulty in understanding the problem, such as being unable to understand the problem from the question, unable to determine the appropriate symbol with the information known from the question, incomplete in writing down the information contained in the questions, and still lacking in understanding the concept; (2) difficulty in planning problem solving, such as being unable to determine symbols and mathematical concepts or formulas; (3) difficulty in implementing the problem-solving plan, such as not sure about the concept or formula used, and difficulty in doing the exercises without looking at the example; (4) difficulty in re-examining the solution obtained, namely not knowing how to re-examine correctly.

Abstract

Microsoft teams memiliki fitur untuk menyimpan meteri, serta tugas dengan aman, serta dapat memudahkan mahasiswa untuk berkomunikasi dalam proses pembelajaran walau berada ditempat yang berbeda. Microsoft teams sangat direkomendasikan digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran microsoft teams terhadap minat dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Analisis Data. Jenis penlitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan pendekatan penellitian kuantitatif. teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar, angket, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif untuk memperoleh nilai rata-rata hitung, variansi serta standar deviasi, dan statistik inferensial untuk memperoleh uji prasyarat yang terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis.Penerapan media pembelajaran microsoft teams efektif terhadap minat dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah analisis data program studi tadris matematika IAI Muhammadiyah Sinjai. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil rata-rata post test minat belajar sebesar 75,83 dan hasil belajar sebesar 97,78.

Abstract

This study aims to determine ethnomathematics studies on the Langkanae palace building in the city of Palopo. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The main instrument is the researcher and the instruments used are interview guidelines, literature and documentation. The research technique used was through interviews, literature study, and documentation with qualitative data analysis consisting of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions, while to test the validity of the data using the triangulation method by comparing data from documentation with literature and data from interviews with literature study data. After this research was carried out, two ethnomathematics study results were obtained, namely (1) The concept of two-dimensional shapes found in the Langkanae palace building contained 7, namely triangular shapes, square shapes, rectangular shapes, rhombus shapes, trapezoidal shapes, hexagon shapes, and octagon shapes. (2) The concept of arithmetic operations on the Langkanae palace building is on the concept of the history of the establishment, the number and height of the parts of the Langkanae palace building. The finding in this study is that there is a difference in the year of establishment between sources from the palace and sources from literature.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitattif dan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan self-concept dan pemahaman matematis siswa melalui Metode Guided Discovery Learning kelas 8 A SMP Negeri 1 Palopo. Pada penelitian ini yang menjadi subjek yaitu siswa kelas 8 A SMP Negeri 1 Palopo yang kemudian akan dipilih 6 subjek untuk diwawancarai yang terdiri 3 subjek self-concept dan 3 subjek pemahaman matematis berdasarkan kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Pada penelitian ini juga digunakan instrumen pendukung yaitu, 1) angket self-concept, 2) angket keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, 3) angket aktivitas belajar, 4) tes pemahaman matematis dan 5) pedoman wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis kuantitatif dimana peneliti mencari mean dan standar deviasi dari hasil angket self-concept. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisis kualitatif dimana peneliti melakukan reduksi terhadap data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-concept siswa melalui metode Guided Doscovery Learning sebesar 76,47% dengan rata-rata 96.02, pemahaman matematis siswa melalui metode Guided Discovery Learning memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 90.5 berdasarkan skor rata- rata yang diperoleh dari hasil angket self-concept dan tes pemahaman matematis melalui metode Guided Discovery Learning termasuk dalam kategori sedang atau cukup baik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how students' reflective thinking skills in solving problems similar to PISA by looking at their mathematical dispositions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive research type. The subjects in this study were 34 students of class VIII A at an MTsN in Banjarnegara for the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection techniques used are tests and non-tests. The instruments in this study were reflective thinking ability test sheets, mathematical disposition questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique of this research uses the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. The results of the data analysis show that most students with high mathematical dispositions have high and moderate reflective thinking skills. Students with a high mathematical disposition have been able to fulfill the indicators of the reacting, elaborating, and contemplating phases well, although some are still constrained in the reacting phase. Students with a moderate mathematical disposition have moderate reflective thinking skills because they are still constrained in the reacting phase, but are able to fulfill the indicators in other phases well even though they are not systematic. Some students with low mathematical dispositions have not been able to meet the indicators in the reacting, elaborating, and contemplating phases, so their reflective thinking skills are also low. It was also found that subjects with low mathematical disposition were able to meet the indicators in the reacting, elaborating, and contemplating phases so that they had good reflective thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student achievement in linear regression material in terms of students' ability to think, organize, manage and face challenges or Adversity Quotient (AQ). The subjects in this study were a class of 21 students of the Animal Husbandry Agribusiness Study Program. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The instruments used in this study were a matter of description of the linear regression material and the Adversity Quotient questionnaire. The results showed that students were classified into 3 types of Adversity Quotient, namely climbers, campers, and quitters in the following learning outcomes: students who scored at intervals of 20-52 only had two categories of students, namely quitters and campers. While at the score interval of 53-68 there are also two categories of students, namely Climbers and Campers. The score interval 69-84 is an interval that has various types of AQ, there are categories of Campers, Climbers and Quitters students. Whereas for the score interval of 85-100 there are only Climbers students. Based on the acquisition of AQ scores obtained by students, it can be stated that the level of AQ owned by students is directly proportional to the learning outcomes obtained. So that in this study the Adversity Quotient has a positive impact on optimizing the achievement of learning outcomes.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems is an ability that needs to be mastered by students. However, in fact the ability of students' mathematical problem solving is relatively low. This is caused by one of them using inappropriate learning media. Therefore we need learning media that can help students to practice their mathematical problem solving abilities. The media in question is digital comics based on realistic mathematics education (RME). So the purpose of this study was to look at the effect of digital comics based on realistic mathematics education (RME) on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method using The Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The results of statistical analysis obtained Sig. (2-tailed) in the output equal variances not assumed 0.000, where the value of Sig. (2-tailed) obtained is less than 0.05 or it can be said that 0.000 <0.05. So, based on the decision-making results of the analysis of this hypothesis test, it can be concluded that if "Significant level <0.05, then is rejected". It can be concluded that is accepted or it can be said that from the results of this analysis it can be concluded that there is an effect of digital comics based on realistic mathematics education (RME) on students' mathematical problem solving abilities

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student errors related to the components of the PISA mathematical literacy process. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. In this study, the research subjects were students in grades IX 1 and IX 2 at SMP Negeri 4 Bengkulu City in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection techniques used in this study, namely test and interview methods. The components of the PISA mathematical literacy process discussed in this study are Communication, Mathematising, Representation.. The results showed that there are 40,85% of students make the error of communication processes. There are 48,59% of students make error of mathematising process. There are 53,41% of students make error of representation process.

Abstract

This research is focused on exploring the concepts of geometry and algebra on the equipment used in Konjo ethnic weddings which are categorized in the aspects of artistic tools, sandan, boards and food. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach whose stages include determining the scope, determining and interviewing informants, documenting and recording, domain analysis, taxonomic analysis and ethnographic writing. Based on the exploration results it is found that the observed customary equipment can be modeled into a relationship between polynomial functions, such as the relationship of two parallel lines and two perpendicular lines in the balli' and kanre anak, a quadratic function rotated about the x-axis represents the gandrang pannahan model. The relationships of constant, linear and quadratic functions which are rotated about the y-axis produce the form of the gandrang jong. Furthermore, the concept of geometry can also be explored in the songkok recca as a sandan requirement whose surface is elliptical and the volume can be approximated using the concept of volume calculation using the slab approach. Whereas in the food aspect, there are beng-beng as dumplings for cucuru which can be represented as a constant function which is rotated around the x-axis. In the process of making the equipment explored it shows the ability, skills and mathematical activities in the form of counting, designing, measuring, locating and explaining. Mathematical concepts identified in customary equipment can be used as contextual learning resources in learning mathematics in formal education.

Abstract

A students' ability to understand concepts is an important part of learning mathematics. However, some students are still confused when dealing with compositional function problems that really require understand of concepts. The aim of this study to analyze the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of mathematical logic intelligence in the compositional function material. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The subjects used in this study were 3 students of class X MIPA with high, medium, and low levels of logic mathematical intelligence. The data in this study were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. According to the results of data analysis, it is found that students with high level of logical mathematical intelligence S-1 can meet all indicators of the ability to understand concepts of mathematics, students who had a level logical mathematical intelligence medium S-2 were only able to fulfill 3 indicators, and students who had a level of logical intelligence low S-3 is able to meet all indicators. The category of students' mathematical logical intelligence level cannot determine students' ability to understand concepts, because the results show that students with low logical intelligence understand concepts better than students who have moderate logical intelligence.
