Abstract

The accuracy of measuring the qibla direction of the mosque in Kendal, Central Java, needs attention from astronomy because the majority of people only know the traditional qibla direction measurement tool namely using a compass and the sun's shadow method. Even though errors in the use of the method will result in inaccurate measurement results and have an impact on the validity of the prayers performed. Therefore, this study compares two methods that are easy for the public to use, namely Google Earth and Mizwala. Google Earth as a method to check the qibla direction and Mizwala as a comparison method to improve Google Earth. Through mathematical qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation and interviews, it is known that these two methods are the easiest and most accurate to determine the qibla of all mosques. The method of data collection was carried out by calculating and measuring the qibla direction towards 1 mosque and 5 musholla. Although the two methods differ in terms of appearance, that Google Earth uses a satellite network while Mizwala uses the concept of the Sun's shadow, both of them can be used in an easy and integrative way. The result of Mizwala's measurements with Google Earth conclude error tolerance that is a range of minutes of angle. In the end, the two methods can be integrated to help and increase public awareness about the importance of correct qibla direction accuracy.

Abstract

Many players in the halal industry do not have access to formal finance. As a result, they do not have access to capital, their business does not develop, and gradually goes out of business. This article aims to develop the concept of financing with the Rahn contract scheme. So far, the Rahn contract is only understood as an agreement in a pawnshop to obtain a certain amount of loans for consumptive purposes. This article uses a type of literature review where data is obtained from a number of publications derived from journals, books, proceedings, review results, magazines or newspapers, and other sources that are considered informative. This article argues that the Rahn contract can be developed as a capitalization solution for halal industry business units in the micro, small, and medium sectors. It further suggests the development of the function of the Rahn contract as a business capitalization contract by issuing shares as Marhun for financing media. The capitalization model with this scheme is intended to develop collateral as a means of investment.

Abstract

One element of society that is vulnerable to the influence of radicalism is teenagers or young people known as the "youth" whose ages range from 16-19 years at the high school level in Indonesia. There are several factors that allow for the emergence of radicalism among adolescents, including mental health, economic factors, socio-political conditions and religious commitment from religious understanding. One of the places where this understanding has developed is schools, especially during this pandemic where many activities are carried out online or various information can be easily accessed via the internet. In order to counteract radicalism so that it does not influence the youth, the role of the family is critical. This study aims to investigate the role of family resilience in fighting and countering radicalism among the youth during the Covid 19 pandemic in Sompilan, Berbah, Selman, Yogyakarta. The study found that the family resilience is built through three key components which form the basis for maintaining resilient attitude, including the family belief system, organizational processes, communication and problem-solving.

Abstract

In inter-religious relations there are various ways and steps to promote peace. One way is through audio-visual media in the form of films. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan film, a Bollywood production, has many messages that are closely related to the values that carry a message of peace between religious communities. This article attempts to represent how a good deed can be done regardless of religious background. In particular, this article describes the various behaviors of religious people, in this case Islam and Hinduism, which are represented through the roles played by the characters in the film. The method used in this article is a qualitative-descriptive method using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis. The article argues that the various attitudes displayed through the characters played in the film about the relationship between Muslims and Hindus in India and with neighboring countries, namely Pakistan, can be an illustration for religious people to live side by side in harmony.

Abstract

Relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, which have been heating up in recent years, have finally come to light. The normalization of relations between the two countries cannot be separated from the assistance of China, which is a third party in the process of improving relations between the two. Both began to improve relations with each other by opening diplomatic relations. This study aims to find out the reasons behind Iran opening its diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia. The study used a qualitative approach with library research data collection techniques via Google Scholar and Publish and Perish platforms. The author finds that there are several reasons for Iran to reopen its diplomatic relations with Arab countries: (1) international pressure such as the US’s economic sanctions, (2) economic interests by opening embassies in both countries, (3) stability following the normalization of the relations, especially on Sunni-Shia issues and establishing the Middle East’s hegemony, (4) the role of China, (5) the tendency of Saudi Arabia to China instead of the USA, and (6) the failure of Saudi Arabia in the Yemen war.

Abstract

The Quran, the holy book of Islam, contains several references to medical concepts and practices. This study aims to review and analyze the medical knowledge presented in the Quran and its relevance in modern medicine. To this end, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify all the medical concepts discussed in the Quran. The accuracy and relevance of these concepts in light of modern medical knowledge were evaluated through critical analysis of current literature. The study found that the Quran contains references to several medical concepts, including disease prevention, hygiene, and healthy living. These concepts are still relevant and applicable in modern medicine. The Quranic emphasis on the importance of faith and prayer in healing, however, may not be sufficient in modern medical practice. While the medical knowledge presented in the Quran has been praised for its accuracy and relevance, it is important to recognize that the Quran was revealed during a specific time and cultural context. There may be some limitations to the medical knowledge presented in the Quran when viewed through a modern lens. The study thus concludes that the Quranic medical knowledge has made significant contributions to the development of medical knowledge and practices. However, it is important to view its teachings in the context in which they were presented and to consider the limitations of these teachings when applying them to modern medical practice.

Abstract

This research focuses on understanding the reasons behind divorce claims made by female migrant workers at the Religious Courts of ex-Kediri Residency. These female workers have obtained permission from their husbands to seek employment abroad, and their departure is based on mutual agreement between them and their husband. However, while working overseas, these migrant workers file for divorce against their husbands, citing various reasons. This study aims to answer the question of why female migrant workers file for divorce claims at the Religious Courts of ex-Kediri Residency. The research method employed is qualitative research with a socio-legal, conceptual, and philosophical approach. The results of this study indicate six reasons for divorce claims among migrant workers at Religious Court of Kediri Residency. Firstly, economic issues play a significant role. Secondly, domestic violence within the marriage is a contributing factor. Thirdly, third-party interference from family members and friends is prevalent. Fourthly, misappropriation of funds for indulgent and lavish activities occurs. Fifthly, husbands exhibit irresponsibility or abandonment towards their wives. Lastly, some husbands display laziness and solely rely on their wives' monthly allowance. These phenomena call for efforts to restore the humanistic values of Islam, particularly regarding the provision of family livelihood from the perspective of equality and gender justice within migrant workers' families, through the implementation of mubadalah (mutual consultation).

Abstract

The stories within the Qashash al-Qur'an are incredibly captivating and leave a profound impression on those who contemplate them. Stories that carry profound wisdom have a remarkable ability to capture attention and stimulate the mind. Children enjoy listening to these stories as they embrace the values of Islamic education without feeling coerced. Examples include the stories of the prophets and narratives of past individuals, from which wisdom and lessons can be extracted from their life journeys. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this article seeks to explore this phenomenon. It argues that in order to instill these important values within the souls of young children, an effective educational method is through the study of hypnoparenting from a neuropsychological perspective. As children prepare for sleep, their brain waves transition from beta to alpha, allowing information and messages conveyed during this time to be stored in their subconscious. The data and information embedded within the subconscious mind will subsequently influence the child's thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in the future.
