Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) as a bridge between prospective graduates and jobs, through education makes individuals more competent in working than other education. However, SMK graduates are the largest contributor to the percentage of unemployment based on education, namely 10.38% in 2022. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence between Self-Efficacy and Internal Locus of Control on the Career Maturity of Students at Public Vocational High Schools 40 Jakarta. The method used in this study is quantitative using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS version 4. The probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling and the Slovin formula, is used to determine the sample with a 5% error rate, namely 138 students. Data collection was obtained through a Likert scale questionnaire. Based on data calculations, the results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between Self-Efficacy and Internal Locus of Control on Students' Career Maturity both simultaneously and partially. It is hoped that schools can increase activities related to the world of careers and individuals can further improve their preparation for their careers.

Abstract

A good performance description of Sharia insurance companies is reflected in their asset growth rate; when the generated percentage increases, it represents the company's optimal performance in managing participants' funds, thereby enhancing public trust and encouraging more people to register as Sharia insurance participants. This study aims to examine the relationship between Insurance Claims, Profitability, and Operational Expenses on Asset Growth by involving 27 Sharia insurance companies registered with the Financial Services Authority from 2018 to 2022 as research samples. The sample was drawn using the Purposive Sampling technique and quantitative methods with secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of each Sharia insurance company's website. The partial results show that claims and operational expenses have a significant negative impact on asset growth; the higher the claims and operational expenses, the lower the asset growth. Profitability, however, does not affect asset growth because the profitability generated is not optimal, thus not increasing the company's assets. Simultaneously, claims, profitability, and operational expenses have a significant positive effect on asset growth, with a determination coefficient of 40.09%, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, this study adds value by validating the measurement of asset growth in Sharia insurance.

This research aims to identify whether or not student management is present in promoting academic achievement in case studies in higher education. This research uses a quantitative method by collecting primary data through a questionnaire with a Likert Scale as an instrument distributed to active students. Then the respondents' answers that were obtained were processed using IBM SPSS 25 software. Based on testing the hypothesis in this research, the research results show that student management has a significant positive influence on student achievement at the Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University. These findings show that universities that implement good student management tend to have higher learning achievement. This is indicated by the R Square value of 0.472. The results of this statistical calculation state that the ability of variable X (student management) to explain changes in variable Y (learning achievement) is 47.2%, the remaining 52.8% is explained by other variables. Furthermore, it can be proven from the T test results that student management has a value of 5.004 > t-table 1.701 with a Sig level. equal to 0.000 < 0.05, then Ha can be accepted and Ho is rejected.
