Abstract

This study aims to describe and explore in depth the perceptions, views, and beliefs of parents of students at the PGRI Kindergarten in Samba Bakumpai Village regarding the role or contribution of physical education in optimising the development of their children's gross and fine motor skills at an early age. The method used is a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with parents of children aged 3-6 years at PGRI Kindergarten in Samba Bakumpai Village. The findings of this study confirm that parents generally recognise the importance of physical activities that can develop motor skills in young children. However, their perceptions of the specific role of physical education in developing structured motor skills still need to be improved. Parents' understanding of physical education in children's motor development indicates the need for more intensive socialisation from the school/early childhood education institution to parents. Explanations regarding the objectives of the physical education curriculum, the types of motor skills developed, and how parents can support them at home would be highly beneficial. Additionally, collaboration between schools and families is crucial. Schools can provide suggestions for simple physical activities that can be done at home, while parents can create an environment that supports children's movement.

Abstract

Abstract

The values, traditions, culture, skills, and concepts that apply in Central Kalimantan must be maintained and preserved through educational activities using the Central Kalimantan local content curriculum, so that they can be passed on to the next generation. The preservation of Central Kalimantan culture in its local content curriculum in the Merdeka Curriculum begins with the preservation of the Dayak language, which is the dominant source of local wisdom, and language is a bridge of local wisdom. Conceptually, implementation of local content in the independent curriculum can be done in three ways, namely: a) by integrating local content into other subjects, b) integrating local content into the theme of the Pancasila profile strengthening project, or c) developing a special local content subject that stands alone as part of the intracurricular program. This paper is motivated by the Education Office's desire to develop a local content curriculum in Central Kalimantan, addressing the needs of schools in the era of the independent curriculum. Using the concepts and philosophy of the independent curriculum, it provides concrete steps and examples for developing a local content curriculum. This program proves that the assistancedevelopment of local content curriculum can provide direct support on local content curriculum, as well as strengthening the role of universities inaccompany the development of the independent curriculum in the era of the Independent Curriculum. The research results show that since the curriculum at the educational unit level, Central Kalimantan has not developed its local content curriculum, so in the era of the independent curriculum, Central Kalimantan needs to develop its local content curriculum.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to respond to the legal silence that still surrounds vulnerable groups in Pademangan Barat Village, North Jakarta, particularly women and children who are often victims of domestic violence. In a social context marked by patriarchal structures and low legal literacy, violence is often considered part of household dynamics rather than a violation of the law. The one-day legal education session held at the Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) was an initial intervention designed in a participatory and community-based manner. The activity not only conveyed legal material in a normative manner but also encouraged residents to reflect on their social experiences in open discussions with community leaders and local officials. The most notable outcome of this activity is the increased legal awareness among local residents. Additionally, there has been a change in attitude identified verbally through participants' courage to ask critical questions, share personal experiences, and challenge social norms that have long silenced victims. This phenomenon underscores that legal education, when conducted through a dialogic approach as suggested by Freire (2005), can serve as an initial instrument for social transformation, even within limited spatial and temporal constraints. This activity demonstrates that law does not necessarily begin in the courtroom but can emerge from honest, simple conversations within the community.
