Abstract

Research to measure the performance of Springfield Raffles Hill School comprehensively from all sectors using Balance Score Card. Springfield Raffles Hills as an SPK school that adopts the Cambridge curriculum must have a comprehensive, coherent, balanced and measurable performance assessment system. The objectives of this study are (1) to know and evaluate the Balanced Scorecard strategy map in accordance with the vision, mission and strategy; (2) Obtain the design of a performance measurement system in accordance with the Balanced Scorecard concept at Springfield School Raffles Hills; (3) Analyze the performance measurement of Springfield School Raffles Hills with the Balanced Scorecard approach. Data processing is done by interview method and Forum Group Discusssion directly to decision makers and customers, namely parents and students. Financial perspectives that can fulfill the course of school activities. Assessing the level of satisfaction of parents and students in the customer perspective, improving the quality of graduates and improving operational performance in the internal business process perspective, as well as job satisfaction index and employee motivation and increasing the achievement of job training in the learning and growth perspective. Based on the results of interviews and FGDs are as follows, the financial perspective has been running efficiently, effectively and economically, the customer perspective is quite satisfied with the performance and services of the school, the internal business process perspective still needs training for teachers and staff, the learning and growth perspective of teachers and staff work with a satisfactory level of satisfaction and have the ability to work satisfactorily. Overall the performance of Springfield School Raffles Hills is in good condition, only an increase in service quality supervision is needed.

Abstract

Competence, motivation and individual behavior are factors that are strongly suspected of influencing teacher performance at Penuai Cibubur school. To prove the influence of the three, this study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of competence, motivation and individual behavior with organizational culture as intervening on the performance of Penuai School teachers. This research was conducted at Penuai School, by taking 34 teachers as research samples, which were calculated using the Slovin formula at a 5% margin of error. Data collection used a closed questionnaire, five rating scales from strongly disagree to strongly agree, with an ordinal scale. This research was conducted quantitatively, as a data analysis tool multiple linear regression was used. While hypothesis testing is done with t-test and f-test. The study produced three main findings in accordance with the hypothesis proposed, namely, competence, motivation and individual behavior have an influence on teacher performance with organizational culture as intervening.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in economics subjects triggered by the lack of student enthusiasm for economic subject matter. Students' lack of enthusiasm for economic subjects has an impact on the low active participation of students in the learning process, reduces understanding of economic subject matter and ultimately leads to unsatisfactory learning outcomes in economic subjects. One of the efforts to overcome these problems is by applying the concept of growth mindset and learning motivation in the learning process in economics subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of growth mindset and learning motivation on learning outcomes. The research method used is using survey method with explanatory design. The population in this study were XII F1-F3 class students at SMA Negeri 3 Ciamis who took economics subjects totaling 102 people. The sampling technique used saturated samples. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire and the data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between growth mindset on learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.004, there is a positive and significant influence between learning motivation on learning outcomes with a significant value of 0.000, and there is a positive and significant influence between growth mindset and learning motivation on learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial manager competence and Cash Management System effectiveness on fraud behavior in the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. This study also analyzes the role of professional attitudes as an intervening variable in the relationship between financial manager competence and Cash Management System effectiveness with good financial governance. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using Smart PLS 3.0 to assess the measurement model (outer model) and structural model (inner model) in the context of research involving financial managers and internal supervisory auditors at the Inspectorate General of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. Evaluation of the measurement model includes validity and reliability tests. Structural model analysis examines the hypothesized relationship between constructs. The findings show that financial manager competence and CMS effectiveness have a positive effect on professional attitudes but do not have a significant effect on fraud behavior directly. Professional attitudes have a negative effect on fraud behavior. Mediation analysis shows that professional attitudes mediate the effect of CMS effectiveness on fraudulent behavior, while competence does not. These results underline the importance of competence and effective CMS in fostering professional attitudes and reducing fraud behavior in the scope of financial managers.

Abstract

The use of symbols in mathematics learning is an essential element that helps students understand the abstract concepts that are the basis of modern mathematics. This study aims to analyze high school students' understanding of mathematical symbols, particularly in relation to abstract concepts, and provide strategic recommendations to improve the quality of learning. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a documentation study approach, involving data from test results, learning notes, and student assignments. Observation of the learning process and in-depth interviews with students and teachers were conducted to complement the data. The research population included high school students in Ketapang Regency, with a purposive sample of 90 students from three schools that have different characteristics, as well as mathematics teachers as additional informants. The results showed that students had a good understanding of basic symbols such as +, -, ×, ÷, and =. However, complex symbols such as ∑, √, π, and ∞, as well as abstract symbols such as x, y, and function (f(x)), are still a challenge. The main factors influencing these results are the lack of intensive practice, limited interactive learning media, and lack of technological support. Visualization, interactive discussion and technology-based learning strategies proved more effective than the conventional lecture method. This study concludes that diversifying teaching methods, increasing access to interactive learning media and teacher training are strategic steps to improve students' understanding of mathematical symbols. Context-based approaches and varied analytical exercises are recommended to help students master mathematical symbols at a deeper level. This research makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of mathematics learning at the high school level.

Abstract

This research highlights the role of Bahasa Indonesia in supporting mathematical symbol comprehension in Vocational High School (SMK) students. Against the backdrop of Indonesian students' low mathematical literacy based on PISA 2018 data, this study aims to analyze the relationship between students' linguistic ability in Bahasa Indonesia and mathematical symbol comprehension, explore relevant linguistic factors, and provide adaptive learning recommendations. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved 40 students from two vocational schools in Ketapang district. Data were collected through written tests, semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and then analyzed inductively with triangulation to ensure validity. The results showed that Indonesian language ability has a significant effect on the understanding of mathematical symbols, especially in basic vocabulary and the direct relationship between terms and symbols. However, students faced difficulties in translating complex narratives, understanding technical terms, and identifying symbol translation errors. These findings underscore the need for contextualized learning approaches, narrative problem practice, and strengthening academic communication. Through explicit integration of Bahasa Indonesia in mathematics learning, the use of simpler materials, and collaborative learning strategies to improve students' understanding of mathematical symbols holistically and optimally.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out how the students' learning outcomes in the SKI subject of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW to Habasyah and Thaif before using the mind mapping method in class IV MIS Banda Masen. How is the application of the mind mapping method in the SKI subject of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW to Habasyah and Thaif before using the mind mapping method in class IV MIS Banda Masen To find out whether student learning outcomes in the SKI subject of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW to Habasyah and Thaif increased after applying the mind mapping method in class IV MIS Banda Masen. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a qualitative approach carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 30 fourth grade students in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. Data collection techniques used tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of student learning completeness was only 23.33% with an average score of 52.41. After learning actions with the mind mapping method, learning completeness increased to 53.33% in cycle I and reached 86.67% in cycle II with a final average score of 83.16. This increase was also followed by changes in student behavior which were more active, enthusiastic, and focused in the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of mind mapping method is effective in improving learning outcomes and active participation of students in SKI learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy and process of integrating character values in learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in the era of Merdeka Belajar at MTs. Irsyaduth Thullab in 2024. With a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, madrasah heads, and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results show that the integration of character values is carried out in a planned manner through the selection of exemplary-based historical materials, the application of active learning methods, and the preparation of contextual teaching modules. Values such as religiosity, responsibility, tolerance, and mutual cooperation are the main emphasis. The Merdeka Curriculum provides innovative space for strengthening character education through contextual learning. This research recommends training for teachers in designing value-based learning that is relevant and meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes in fourth grade students of SDN Megamendung 03 through the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model. Using a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with two cycles, the research was conducted on 18 students (10 boys and 8 girls) in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The results showed an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes from 60.2 in cycle I to 75.6 in cycle II, with an increase of 15.4. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 39% to 89%. Changes in student behavior in the aspects of activeness, cooperation, and participation also increased from an average score of 65 in cycle I to 94 in cycle II. These results prove that the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes and activities in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of grade VI students in Mathematics subjects at SDN Megamendung 01 Megamendung District are still very low. This is what motivates researchers to conduct research. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of students in Mathematics subjects, by using the Numbered Head Together Type Cooperative learning model. This research was conducted collaboratively with two cycles. The subjects of this research were VI grade students of Megamendung 01 State Elementary School, Megamendung District, Bogor Regency, totaling 43 students with a composition of 21 female students and 22 male students. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The results showed that the percentage value of learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was 47%, the first cycle was 70% and the second cycle was 91%, this means that there is an increase or improvement in the learning outcomes of students in each cycle. This study concludes that the application of the Numbered Head Together Cooperative Learning Model can improve learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects for grade VI students at Megamendung 01 State Elementary School, Megamendung District, Bogor Regency. In addition, the application of the Numbered Head Together Cooperative Learning Model can increase activeness, cooperation, and participation in the learning process.
